Betreff: [AISWorld] CFP International Workshop on The Web and
Requirements Engineering (WeRE'10)
Datum: Sat, 5 Jun 2010 20:56:47 +0200
Von: Jose Norberto <jnmazon(a)gmail.com>

Call for Papers
International Workshop on The Web and Requirements
Engineering (WeRE'10)
http://gplsi.dlsi.ua.es/congresos/were10
In conjuntion with Requirements Engineering (RE
2010) Conference
Sydney, Australia, September 28th, 2010
Conference Web Site: http://www.re10.org
Motivation& Purpose
--------------------
The International Workshop on the Web and Requirements Engineering
(WeRE) will offer an international forum for exchanging ideas on both
using Web technologies as a platform for requirements engineering, and
applying requirements engineering in the development and use of
web-based applications. We invite to submit original, high-quality
papers that present on-going work on new ideas and experiences with
Requirements Engineering and the Web. The workshop will focus on
discussion and exchange of ideas among researchers, designers, and
users who are working or are interested in any combination of these
two main topics.
In the last decade, the number and complexity of web-based
applications and the amount of information they offer has been growing
exponentially. In the context of Software Engineering, design methods
and methodologies have been introduced to support the development of
these complex applications in a systematic way. However, most of these
methodologies focus on design and neglect other tasks, notably
requirement analysis and quality management. However, in the
development of traditional (non-web) applications both practitioners
and process experts regard requirements engineering as a phase of
crucial importance in the development process. It is well-known that
the most common and time-consuming errors as well as the most
expensive ones to repair, are those caused by inadequate engineering
of requirements. Moreover, web-based applications demand new
requirements engineering techniques that need to be adapted to a
large, open and changing community which can deal with navigational
requirements, and broad in scope so that they can account for business
processes as well as web usability. These new techniques will need to
offer more participatory environments to support effective
collaboration among stakeholders. In this context, the Web (especially
Web 2.0 applications), provide a convenient platform to allow
stakeholders and users alike more active participation in requirements
engineering.
Topics of interest
------------------
The scope of the WeRE workshop includes but is not limited to:
-Web requirements elicitation and analysis
-Web requirements validation and verification
-Web engineering methods and tools supporting requirements
-Traceability in Web requirements
-Modeling of requirements, goals, and domains in Web engineering
-Prototyping and simulation in Web requirements engineering
-Evolution of Web requirements
-Alignment between business and Web requirements
-Social, cultural, and cognitive factors in Web requirements engineering
-User-centred analysis and design
-Domain specific modelling languages addressing requirements for Web
applications
-Web 2.0 and requirements engineering
-Requirements engineering for rich internet applications
-Model-driven approaches based on requirements models for Web
applications and rich internet applications
Submission Guidelines
---------------------
We encourage two types of original papers depending on the maturity of
the work: full papers (must not exceed 8 pages) and short papers (must
not exceed 4 pages). Full papers should include evidence to support
the contribution (e.g. proof of concept, or case studies) and
discussion on research findings and their theoretical and practical
significance. Short papers can report on going research activities
showing preliminary results.
Paper submission will be electronic by using the EasyChair system at
http://www.easychair.org/conferences/?conf=were2010
Accepted papers will be published as workshop proceedings in the IEEE
Digital Library. The paper submission must be in the IEEE CS Press
Proceedings format (see guidelines at
http://www.computer.org/portal/web/cscps/formatting).
We are also negotiating a special issue in a JCR journal for the
publication of extended versions of the best contributions to the
workshop.

"Cloud" is a common metaphor for an Internet accessible infrastructure
(e.g. data storage and computing hardware) which is hidden from users. Cloud
Computing makes data truly mobile and a user can simply access a chosen
cloud
with any internet accessible device. In Cloud Computing, IT-related
capabilities are provided as services, accessible without requiring detailed
knowledge of the underlying technology. Thus, many mature technologies are
used as components in Cloud Computing, but still there are many
unresolved and
open problems. This conference and workshop series, steered by the Cloud
Computing Association (www.cloudcom.org), aims to bring together researchers
who work on cloud computing and related technologies. Topics include but are

SPECIAL ISSUE ON Privacy and Security Issues in IT
International Journal of Information Technologies and the Systems Approach
(IJITSA)
Guest Editors:
Dr. Vasilis Katos Democritus University of Thrace, Greece
Dr. Frank Stowell, University of Portsmouth, England and
INTRODUCTION:
The topic of this special issue is motivated by the ease of collection,
processing and dissemination of personal data and the concern about the
unintended use or misuse of these data. Monitoring technologies are a
fundamental component in IS security that serve as a policy violation
detection mechanism but the expanding scope of ICT now means that it is
not just the client that is affected but often the wider community e.g.
CCTV monitoring as what may have been designed for specific end-users now
impacts itself upon the majority. Monitoring has turned into systematic
surveillance of emails, telephone usage and through CCTV general citizen
activities. In a society where privacy is a fundamental human right the
antagonism between privacy and security is a research issue of
significance IS researchers as IS itself constitutes the means for feeding
such antagonism between security and the privacy of the individual. This
special issue invites a range of topics related to Privacy and the
associated security issues created by the technology.
OBJECTIVE OF THE SPECIAL ISSUE:
To obtain a view of the issues underpinning the design and development of
systems capable of balancing the privacy needs of the stakeholders against
information security controls through a widely accepted use and
application of the underlying technologies.
RECOMMENDED TOPICS:
Topics to be discussed in this special issue include (but are not limited
to) the following:
?Privacy preservation technologies for the citizen
?Methodologies for analysing privacy requirements of an Information System
?Protection of biometric data
?Analysis and development of a systems view of security and its impact
upon individual privacy
?The Economics of security and privacy
?The behavioural impact of monitoring and surveillance technologies
?Opportunities and threats in emerging applications utilizing personal data
?Privacy-centric systems
SUBMISSION PROCEDURE:
Researchers and practitioners are invited to submit papers for this
special theme issue Privacy and Security Issues in IT on or before June
30, 2010. All submissions must be original and may not be under review by
another publication. INTERESTED AUTHORS SHOULD CONSULT THE JOURNAL?S

*Call for Submissions*
(with apologies for cross-postings)
*International Conference on Wirtschaftsinformatik, University of
Zurich, Switzerland, 16th-18th February 2011*
The 10^th International Conference on Wirtschaftsinformatik (Information
Systems) will be held from 16^th to 18^th February 2011 in Zurich,
Switzerland. The goal of this conference is to improve our understanding
of the increasing permeation of IT in all sectors of both economic and
everyday life from a scientific perspective as well as to provide
practitioners and academics a platform for the discussion of this topic.
The excellent acceptance of this conference among academics and
practitioners alike makes it the largest regular gathering of the IS
community in Europe. The popularity of Zurich as a scientific, cultural
and commercial hub further invites researchers and practitioners to come
together in this beautiful city, which is centrally located in Europe.
Authors are invited to submit original and well-grounded research works
of a theoretical, empirical, and design science nature. Investigations
that ensure the repeatability of their results for others (i.e., where
data and findings are made available to the community) are particularly
encouraged.
All accepted research papers will go through a double-blind review
process by an international program committee. They will be published in
the AIS e-Library and all conference participants will receive a USB
stick that contains the papers presented at the conference.
Submissions are invited to the following conference programs:
