The BNAIC conferences series was initiated in 1988 by the Netherlands Association for Artificial Intelligence (later incorporating Belgium and Luxembourg to become the Benelux Association for AI) in order to promote research in AI among Benelux AI researchers, scientists and engineers in related disciplines. This year we are delighted to bring BNAIC for the first time to the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg. According to the success of previous years, BNAIC 2010 will include invited speakers, research and industry presentations and project demonstrations. Important Dates * Paper submissions: June 13, 2010 * Author notification: August 8, 2010 * Camera-ready papers: September 15, 2010 * Author registration: September 15, 2010 * Early registration: September 25, 2010 * Conference dates: October 25-26, 2010 Submission details Researchers are invited to submit unpublished original research, but high-quality research results possibly already published in international conferences or journals are also welcome. Three types of submissions are invited: Type A: REGULAR PAPERS Papers presenting new original work. Submitted papers should not exceed a length of 8 pages. These papers will be reviewed on overall quality and relevance. A-Papers can be accepted for either oral or poster presentation. All accepted papers will be fully published in the proceedings. Type B: COMPRESSED CONTRIBUTIONS Papers that have been accepted after June 1st, 2009 for AI-related refereed conferences or journals can be resubmitted and will be accepted as compressed contributions. Authors are invited to submit the officially published version (without page restriction) together with a one or two-page abstract. B-Papers will be accepted for either oral or poster presentation. The abstract of the paper will be published in the proceedings. Every author may submit at most one B-paper of which they are the corresponding author, and only if they do not submit any A-paper as corresponding author. Type C: DEMONSTRATIONS& APPLICATIONS Proposals for demonstrations will be evaluated based on submitted demonstration summaries stating the following: the purpose of the system to be demonstrated, its user groups, the organization or project for which it is developed, the developers, and the technology used. In addition, the system requirements and the duration of the demo (not exceeding 30 minutes) should be mentioned. Especially master students are encouraged to submit papers presenting their applications and experiences. The maximum size of demonstration summaries is 2 pages (in English). Papers and demonstration summaries should be submitted electronically via Easychair (http://www.easychair.org/conferences/?conf=bnaic2010) by June 13th, 2010. Recent advances in pervasive computers, networks, telecommunications, and information technology, along with the proliferation of multimedia mobile devices - such as laptops, iPods, personal digital assistants (PDA), and cellular telephones - have stimulated the development of intelligent pervasive multimedia applications. These key technologies are creating a multimedia revolution that will have significant impact across a wide spectrum of consumer, business, healthcare, and governmental domains. Yet many challenges remain, especially when it comes to efficiently indexing, mining, querying, searching, and retrieving multimedia data. The Multimedia - Processing and Applications 2010 (MMAP 2010) Symposium addresses several themes related to theory and practice within multimedia domain. The enormous interest in multimedia from many activity areas (medicine, entertainment, education) led researchers and industry to make a continuous effort to create new, innovative multimedia algorithms and application. As a result the conference goal is to bring together researchers, engineers and practitioners in order to communicate their newest and original contributions on topics that have been identified (see below). We are also interested in looking at service architectures, protocols, and standards for multimedia communications - including middleware - along with the related security issues, such as secure multimedia information sharing. Finally, we encourage submissions describing work on novel applications that exploit the unique set of advantages offered by multimedia computing techniques, including home-networked entertainment and games. However, innovative contributions that don't exactly fit into these areas will also be considered because they might be of benefit to conference attendees. ** CALL FOR PAPERS * MMAP 2010 is a major forum for researchers and practitioners from academia, industry, and government to present, discuss, and exchange ideas that address real-world problems with real-world solutions. The MMAP 2010 Symposium welcomes submissions of original papers concerning all aspects of multimedia domain ranging from concepts and theoretical developments to advanced technologies and innovative applications. MMAP 2010 invites original previously unpublished contributions that are not submitted concurrently to a journal or another conference. The Sixth IEEE/IFIP International Symposium on Trusted Computing and Communications (TrustCom-10) will be held in conjunction with "The Eighth IEEE/IFIP International Conference on Embedded and Ubiquitous Computing (EUC-10)". It follows the success of TrustCom-09 in Vancouver, Canada, TrustCom-08 in Zhangjiajie, China, SNDS-07 in Niagara Falls, Canada, SNDS-06 in Vienna, Austria, and SNDS-05 in Fukuoka, Japan. It aims at bringing together researchers and practitioners in the world working on trusted computing and communications, with regard to security, safety, privacy, reliability, dependability, survivability, availability, and fault tolerance aspects of computer systems and networks, and providing a forum to present and discuss emerging ideas and trends in this highly challenging research field. Scope and Interests TrustCom-10 is an international forum for presenting and discussing emerging ideas and trends in trusted computing and communications in computer systems and networks from both the research community as well as the industry. Introduction ================= Web and Pervasive Environments (WPE) are emerging rapidly as an exciting new paradigm including ubiquitous, web, grid, ubiquitous and peer-to-peer computing to provide computing and communication services any time and anywhere. In order to realize their advantages, it requires the security services and Applications to be suitable for WPE. If they are realized, a user will be able to remotely access and control all information and web appliances in the workplace as well as at home and office, easily and conveniently use various services to enable working at home, remote education, remote diagnosis, virtual shopping, network gaming, and high quality VOD with no limitations on space and time. WPS2010 is a successor of the 1st International Workshop on Application and Security service in Web and pervAsive eNvirionments (ASWAN-07, HuangShan, China, June, 2007), the 2nd International Workshop on Web and Pervasive Security (WPS-08, Hong Kong, March, 2008) and the 3rd International Workshop on Web and Pervasive Security (WPS-09, Galveston, Texas, March, 2009) WPS2010 workshop is intended to foster the dissemination of state-of-the-art research in the area of secure WPE including security models, security systems, application services and novel security applications associated with its utilization. Also, it offers the possibility to discuss protocols and protocol characteristics with those people that are using them for solving their scientific problems. We plan to publish high quality papers, which cover the various web and security issues and practical applications in WPE. =========== 2. Topics =========== Topics of interest include, but are not limited to: * Security web-based collaboration applications and services * Model for secure web services * Wireless sensor networks / RFID application and security for WPE * Intelligent multimedia security services for WPE * Key management and authentication in WPE * Network security issues and protocols in WPE * Access control in WPE * Privacy Protection in WPE * Cryptographic algorithms for WPE * Data privacy and trustiness for WPE * Forensics Issue for WPE * Privacy and anonymity for WPE * Security in P2P networks and Grid computing in WPE * Trust management in WPE * Commercial and industrial applications for WPE =================== 3. Important Dates =================== Paper Submission: July 2, 2010 Decision notification: August 13, 2010 Camera-ready and registration due: August 31, 2010 ============================== 4. Paper format & submission ============================== Papers must be submitted electronically in Adobe PDF format to the submission system. http://edas.info/N8718 Papers must have authors' affiliation and contact information on the first page. Papers must be unpublished and not being considered elsewhere for publication. In particular, papers submitted to WPS2010 must not be concurrently submitted to GLOBECOM in identical or modified form. Prospective authors are encouraged to submit an IEEE conference style paper up to 5 pages (including all text, figures, and references) through EDAS submission system http://edas.info/N8718 One additional page will be allowed with additional publication fee. An accepted paper must be registered before the registration deadline. An accepted paper must be presented at the workshop. Failure to register before the deadline will result in automatic withdrawal of the paper from the workshop proceedings and the program. All accepted and presented papers will be included in the IEEE GLOBECOM proceedings and IEEE digital library. GLOBECOM has the right to remove an accepted and registered but not presented paper from the IEEE digital library. ======================= 5.
