* 3rd Future Internet Symposium 2010 (http://www.fis2010.org/) *
* 20-22 September 2010. Berlin, Germany. *
* Call for Posters and Demonstrations *
****************************************************************
*** SCOPE ***
To complement the main symposium programme, FIS 2010 will hold a
combined Poster and Demonstration session. The Poster/Demo Session is
an opportunity for presenting late-breaking results, ongoing research
projects, and speculative or innovative work in progress. Posters and
demos are also intended to provide authors and participants with the
ability to network with each other and to engage in technical
discussions about the work. Technical posters, reports on Future
Internet software systems, descriptions of completed work, and work in
progress are all welcome. Demonstrations are intended to showcase
innovative Future Internet related implementations and technologies.
Submission Information
Authors should submit a three-page paper for evaluation. Submissions
will be evaluated for acceptability by a set of reviewers. Decisions
about acceptance will be based on relevance to the call, originality,
potential significance, topic and clarity. A detailed list of
suggested topics can be found in the main call for papers for the
Future Internet Symposium.
Authors submitting a paper to another track in FIS 2010 may also
submit the same work for consideration in the Demo/Poster track. For
example, a demo can be provided for an accepted paper, or a poster can
be used to present work that was insufficiently mature for the
research track.
At least one of the Poster/Demo authors must be a registered
participant at the conference, and attend the Poster/Demo Session to
present the work. The papers for all accepted posters and demos will
be published as CEUR-WS proceedings.
A best Poster/Demo award will be granted at the symposium. The
selection of the winning participant will be through vote by the Demo
and Poster session visitors.
*** SUBMISSION GUIDELINES ***
Poster and demo submissions must follow the LNCS Style – see http://www.springer.com/computer/lncs?SGWID=0-164-7-72376-0
.
Submissions must be in PDF format. Poster and demo papers that exceed
the page limit of 3 pages, or are not submitted as PDF will be
rejected without review. In case of need of any special equipment, the
authors should indicate this in the submission.
Please submit your contribution to the FIS2010 electronic submission
system. Copyright forms might be required for all accepted papers.
Details will be sent with notifications of acceptance.
*** IMPORTANT DATES ***
Deadline for submissions: July 5, 2010

talks, which will be announced on the conference web site as
arrangements are finalized. Previous invited speakers included numerous
fellows of IEEE, AMIA, AAAS, AAAI, etc.
Paper Submission
High quality papers in all Machine Learning areas are solicited. Papers
that present new directions will receive careful and supportive
reviews. Authors are expected to ensure that their final manuscripts
are original and are not appearing in other publications. Paper should
be limited to 6 pages and submitted in IEEE format (double column).
Papers will be reviewed by the Program Committee on the basis of
technical quality, originality, significance and clarity. All

Barely more than ten years after the birth of the World Wide Web, the Global Information Infrastructure is daily reality. In spite of the many applications in all domains of our societies: e-business, e-commerce, e-learning, e-science, and e-government, for instance, and in spite of the tremendous advances by engineers and scientists, the seamless integration of information and services remains a major challenge. The current shared vision for the future is one of semantically rich information and service oriented architecture for global information systems. This vision is at the convergence of progress in technologies such as XML, Web services, RDF, OWL, of multimedia, multimodal, and multilingual information retrieval, and of distributed, mobile and ubiquitous computing.
The goal of iiWAS2010 is to provide an international forum for scientists, engineers, and managers in academia, industry, and government to address recent research results and to present and discuss their ideas, theories, technologies, systems, tools, applications, work in progress and experiences on all theoretical and practical issues arising in information and service integration.
