The 4th International Workshop on Issues and Challenges in Social Computing
(WICSOC 2015) - Social Media, Crowd Sourcing, and Public Health
Social Computing Technologies (SCT) offer users opportunities for
connectedness, participation and engagement, collaboration,
offering/receiving
social support, etc. These applications/systems gather abundance of
information that when mined and analyzed will further enrich their services
or help researchers understand many different things including social
dynamics of people, wisdom of crowd, social construction and sharing of
knowledge, etc. As a result, SCT can be leveraged to empower both health
professional and citizens. Online Social media such as Facebook, Twitter,
QuitNet are increasingly being used for health-related purposes. A 2013
online survey suggests that 59.9% patients used Twitter for increasing
knowledge and exchanging advice and 52.3% used Facebook for social support
and exchanging advice (http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/23899831).
Novel techniques for information analysis, reuse, and integration are
critical to make sense of health-related information. Systematic
approaches,
design principles, and evaluation strategies need to be researched for
developing effective health-related social computing applications. Other
challenges in social computing include accommodating privacy, security, and
trust expectations of users or separating good information from noise.
The aim of this workshop is to discuss and exchange ideas on the issues and
challenges in social computing systems as they relate to health care
and public health. We invite research or position papers from researchers
and practitioners working in any aspect of social computing with research
focus on health, healthcare, or public health. Example topics, but not
limited to, include:
-> Design, modeling, and simulation of socially-aware health technology
-> Demonstration cases of using existing social media platforms (e.g.,
twitter, facebook) for health research
-> Social network analysis for the purpose of understanding or
intervening upon health related outcomes
-> Behavioral intervention implemented through social media platforms
-> Disease & health management using social media applications
-> Crowdsourcing health or biomedical research
-> Public health resource sensing or crowdsourcing of public health
resources
-> In time, in place healthcare information through social media
-> Design and evaluation of online patient communities with social
network features
-> Healthcare/mHealth Social Networks
-> Data protection (Privacy, Security, Trust) in healthcare social
networks
-> Empowerment of patients and healthcare professionals
-> Design and evaluation of social game for health education & awareness
-> Classification and categorization of health information in social
media
-> Mining of big Data for population health monitoring or intervention
-> Social computing application for health & wellness management
All contributions will be peer-reviewed by at least three experts. Papers
should be 4-6 pages (English) in IEEE format, including bibliography and
well-marked appendices. Accepted papers will be published as workshop
papers in the IEEE IRI conference proceedings.
The extended versions of the best papers from the workshop will be
considered for journal publications.

Betreff: [WI] CfP The 8th Workshop on Social and Human Aspects of
Business Process Management (BPMS2’15)
Datum: Fri, 08 May 2015 16:14:15 +0200
Von: rainer.schmidt(a)hm.edu
An: wi(a)lists.kit.edu
The 8th Workshop on Social and Human Aspects of Business Process Management
(BPMS2â15)
August 31st, 2015 Innsbruck, Austria
Call for Papers
Deadline for workshop paper submissions: 29 May, 2015
Workshop Theme
The involvement of human aspects into Business Process Management takes place
both on a social and individual level. Social software is a new paradigm that
is spreading quickly in society, organizations and economics.
Enterprises use social software to improve their business processes and create
new business models. Social software is used both in internal and external
business processes. Using social software, the communication with the customer
is increasingly bi-directional. E.g. companies integrate customers into product
development to capture ideas for new products and features. Social software
also creates new possibilities to enhance internal business processes by
improving the exchange of knowledge and information, to speed up decisions,
etc.
In parallel to the fact that more and more enterprises are using business
process management also the individual is involved in a multitude of business
processes. This creates a number of new challenges. Individuals have to cope
with multiple process contexts and thus have to administer data appropriately.
Furthermore, individuals have to integrate the external business processes into
their own work environment or even to couple several external business
processes. Human aspects in business process management relate to the
individual who creates a process model, to the communication among people,
during and after the process execution, and to the social process of
collaborative modeling. Human aspects also relate to the interaction /
collaboration / coordination / cooperation that should be implemented in the
business process or to specific human-related aspects of the business process
itself and their representations in models.
Up to now, the interaction of social and human aspects with business processes
has not been investigated in depth. Therefore, the objective of the workshop is
to explore how social software interacts with business process management, how
business process management has to change to comply with weak ties, social
production, egalitarianism and mutual service, and how business processes may
profit from these principles.
The workshop will discuss three topics. Social Business Process Management,
Social Business and Human Aspects of Business Process Management. Social
Business Process Management is the use of social software to support one or
multiple phases of the business process lifecycle.
1. Social Business Process Management (SBPM)
- Which phases of the BPM lifecycle (Design, Deployment, Operation, and
Evaluation) can profit the most by social software?
- Do we need new BPM methods and/or paradigms to cope with social software?
- Is there an influence of weak ties, social production, egalitarianism and
mutual service provisioning on BPM methods themselves?
- How are trust and reputation established in business processes using social
software?
- How do weak ties, social production, egalitarianism and mutual service
provisioning influence the design of business processes?
- How does social software interact with WFMS or other business process support
systems?
- What is the impact on conceptual models for those categories of business
processes which are not well-defined?
2. Social Business: Social software supporting business processes
- Which new possibilities for the support of business processes are created by
social software?
- Are there business processes which require sociality, especially when they
are not predictable (as production workflows) but collaborative or ad hoc?
- How can we use Wikis, Blogs etc. to support business processes?
- Which types of social software can be used in which phases of the BPM
lifecycle?
- What new kinds of business knowledge representation are offered by social
production?
3. Human Aspects of Business Process Management
- What requirements are created for individuals by participating in a multitude
of business processes.
- Which concepts and technologies exist to support the individual in coping
with different external business processes
- Which further human aspects of business process management exist?
- Human-centric business processes
- Human resource management in business processes -
Goal
Based on the five previous successful BPMS2â08, BPMS2â09, BPMS2â10,
BPMS2â11, BPMS2â12, BPMS2â13, BPMS2â14 workshops, the goal of the
BPMS2â15 workshop is to promote the integration of business process
management with social software and to enlarge the community pursuing the
theme.
Workshop paper format
Position papers of up to 2500 words are sought. Position papers that raise
relevant questions, or describe successful or unsuccessful practice, or
describe experience will all be welcome. Position papers will be assigned a 20
minute presentation. Short papers of up to 1000 words can also be submitted,
and will be assigned a 10 minutes presentation.
Submission
Prospective authors are invited to submit papers for presentation in any of the
areas listed above. Only papers in English will be accepted. Length of full
papers must not exceed 12 pages (There is no possibility to buy additional

HICSS 2016 Minitrack Title: Digital Service Innovations based on "Open" Phenomena and Practices
January 5-8, 2016
Grand Hyatt, Kauai
Website: www.hicss.hawaii.edu<http://www.hicss.hawaii.edu/>
Value produced by digital service innovation is disrupting established markets as well as generating entirely new ones. The innovations come from many different sources: traditional R&D, cross-industry initiatives, new entrants that displace incumbents in traditional industries and more and more from open development processes or crowdsourcing of new ideas from consumers as existing or potential customers. This minitrack focuses on those open phenomena and practices. Examples new kind of development openness include, for example: the opening of the vast data resources collected by authorities and different governmental units, the increasing availability of new open sensor data (for example, from mobile devices), and innovation contests. We seek novel research describing innovative services or service systems that are created. The submissions can be research papers, case studies, or practitioner reports related new service development and their implications.
Opening up the development of processes and crowdsourcing these services provide new opportunities and challenges. Developer driven voluntary innovation communities such as open data and open source offer a rich source for new insights. Developers, consumers and citizens can provide new ideas, but do not necessarily have the expertise, interest or resources to develop them further, which in turn opens up possibilities for established companies and new start-ups.
This year we are especially interested on research related to the open digital services innovation and development processes. Answering these questions is pivotal from the perspectives of business research and policy making. Studies employing design research as well as either qualitative or quantitative research methods are all welcomed.
We will provide a fast track for best papers to a journal, and for this we have already contacted a few journals.
We will provide a fast track for best papers to a journal.

Call for Paper für MKWI-Teilkonferenz: Software-Produktmanagement
Multikonferenz Wirtschaftsinformatik 2016, 09. bis 11. März 2016 in Ilmenau
http://www.mkwi2016.de
Leitung
-------
Prof. Dr. Georg Herzwurm, Universität Stuttgart (Kontaktperson)
Dipl. Math. Jens Borchers, Sopra Steria Consulting, Hamburg
Prof. Dr. Marco Kuhrmann, University of Southern Denmark, Odense
Dr. Martin Mikusz, Universität Stuttgart
Prof. (em.) Dr.-Ing. Thorsten Spitta, Universität Bielefeld
Inhalt
------
Cloud Computing, Internet der Dinge und Dienste, „as a Service“ u.v.m.
verändern das Produkt(verständnis) radikal und führen zu immer kürzeren
und gleichzeitig komplexeren Produktlebenszyklen, auf die auch das
Produktmanagement (flexibel) reagieren muss.
B. Wartung
von Software in Wertschöpfungsnetzwerken oder innovative
Geschäftsmodelle für IT-Abteilungen) angesprochen werden.
Mögliche Themen für Beiträge
----------------------------
* Innovative Ansätze des Software-Produktmanagements in
Wertschöpfungsnetzwerken bzw. Ecosystems
* Software-Produktmanagement von/bei Cloud-Produkten
* Software-Produktmanagement im Zeitalter des Internet der Dinge und Dienste

VOLT 2015
Co-located with STAF 2015
4th Workshop on the Verification of Model Transformation
http://volt2015.big.tuwien.ac.at
**** Extended Submission Deadline ****
May 22, 2015
*** Call for Papers ***
Model transformations are everywhere in software development. They have been described as the “heart and soul of Model-Driven Development (MDD)”. It is generally accepted that MDD is a very promising means for raising the level of abstraction of current software development techniques, while making it more reliable, efficient, safe and cost-effective. Several experts have identified the verification of model transformations as one of the grand challenges of the domain. Despite some recent activity in the field, the work on the verification of model transformations remains scattered and a clear perspective on the subject is still not in sight. Furthermore, current model transformation tools lack verification techniques to support such activities.
If we generically consider a model transformation as an algorithm describing specific model manipulations, then testing it or proving some of its properties can be envisaged. However, a model transformation performs particular computations where: (1) it typically operates on models, thus on data at a high-level of abstraction rich in semantics and (2) from a pragmatic point of view, often only the initial input and the final output is of interest and none of the intermediate steps matters. Moreover, a particular subject of interest is the fact that model transformations are used to perform specific computations in the context of MDD, such as model refinement, refactoring, translation, synthesis, simulation, or synchronization. In this sense, we feel that useful verification techniques for model transformations can and possibly should be specific to these activities.
The Fourth International Workshop on the Verification Of modeL Transformation (VOLT 2015) is one of the most accurate venues to offer researchers a dedicated forum to classify, discuss, propose, and advance verification techniques dedicated to model transformations. VOLT 2015 promotes discussions between theoreticians and practitioners from academy and industry, given its ideal co-location with STAF and in particular ECMFA, ICGT, ICMT, TTC, and TAP. VOLT’s interest spans both to academic and industrial practices. One of the goals of the forum is to collect enough industrial case studies so that those problems can be stated at a theoretical level.
In order to discuss these and further similar questions, we would like to invite submissions in the form of regular papers, short papers (ongoing work, position statements), and demonstration papers (about novel tool features) related to the following topics:
- Application of formal verification (e.g., theorem proving, model-checking or abstract interpretations) to model transformations:
* Verification of model transformations expressed in languages such as ATL, QVT, TGG, Viatra, Kermeta, Epsilon, etc.;
* Verification of Domain-Specific Model Transformations, in contrast to general-purpose transformations;
* Verification techniques dedicated to model transformation;
- Taxonomies of techniques for model transformation verification:
* Properties relevant to techniques for model transformation verification;
* Reviews and surveys on the practice of verification for model transformations;
- Comparisons between formal verification techniques for model transformation versus general-purpose programming languages;
- Case studies, comparisons, and experience reports;
- Tools and automation.
As a special issue this year, we also strongly encourage solutions to the following model transformation verification challenges:
- a purely structural translation (aka. structural bridge) consisting of the classical UML2RDMS transformation;
- an operational semantics of a Domain-Specific Language allowing to play to the well-known PacMan game;
- a translational semantics providing executability of (a significant portion of) Activity Diagrams in terms of Petri Nets.
All cases are well-documented transformations, so that contestants can focus on the verification tasks rather than the (correct) transformation design.
More details about the transformations, as well as the associated requirements, are provided on the Workshop's webpage.
*** Submission ***
To comply with STAF's special theme of "reproducibility", submitted papers should fall down in one of these paper category, depending on the nature of the contribution:
- Regular papers (up to 10 pages) which presents novel innovative approaches, should integrate our case studies either as a running example, or as a minimal case study for validation;
- Short papers (up to 8 pages) which presents new ideas or ongoing research, are submitted to the same requirements as regular papers.
- Tool/Demo papers (up to 6 pages) which should demonstrate our case studies by formally analysing their associated properties within a specific tool.
All submissions should follow the Springer LNCS format and be submitted through the EasyChair installation: https://easychair.org/conferences/?conf=volt2015
A pre-workshop version of the papers will be available on the workshop website and a post-workshop version will be published as CEUR workshop proceedings (http://ceur-ws.org).
We are aiming at a joint article comprising all solutions for the Case Studies.
*** Workshop Format ***
VOLT 2015 is a one-day workshop, divided into two parts: keynote, paper presentations, and tool demonstrations (morning) and discussions in working groups (afternoon).
*** Important Dates ***

Call for papers and reviewers - 26th Australasian Conference on Information Systems (ACIS 2015), Adelaide.
For further information regarding the call for papers, please refer to the main conference web site at: https://acis2015.unisa.edu.au/
The conference will include the following Tracks and though we encourage submissions that focus on one of these areas, we are open to submissions in other areas:
* Social Media and Social Technologies for Organisations and Individuals
* Health Informatics
* IS Security, Cyber Crime and Digital Investigations
* Information Systems and Future-focused Learning Environments
* Electronic/Mobile Commerce and IT-enabled Supply Chain Management
* Enterprise Systems Services and Management
* Information Ethics, Professionalism and Society
* Information Quality and Governance
* IS in Supply Chain Management
* Knowledge Management and IS
* Diversity and Inclusion in the IT Workforce
* Information Systems Development for a Connected World
* Emerging Approaches for Decision Support Systems and Business Intelligence
* General Track
Full Research & Research-in-Progress Papers
Full research and research-in-progress submissions may take the form of theoretical essays, formal analyses, technical discussions, and/or papers reporting on quantitative or qualitative empirical research. It is expected that full papers in these categories will include final (or in-progress) data analyses and documentation of results. Full research should be similar to journal submissions, but shorter (i.e. 10 A4 pages). Research-in-progress papers are the same as above but typically represent work that is incomplete, yet promising.
They must be submitted to the conference track that best fits the topic area. ACIS 2015 recognises that the list of tracks is not an exhaustive one - nonetheless, ACIS 2015 asks that authors select the track that best fits the topic area. The Programme Co-Chairs may then shift a submission from one track to another, as they deem appropriate.
Submission Format
Language
The language of the conference is English. All submissions must therefore be in English.
Originality
Submissions to ACIS2015 should not have been published previously in a journal or conference proceedings, nor presented at another conference, nor currently under review or consideration for publication or presentation elsewhere.
Length and format
The maximum length for all submissions is 10 A4 pages (Times New Roman 10pt), including references and appendices. All submissions must be in .DOC format and must use the ACIS 2015 submission template<https://acis2015.unisa.edu.au/wp-content/uploads/2015/05/ACIS-template-2015…>. An example can be found here<https://acis2015.unisa.edu.au/wp-content/uploads/2015/05/ACIS-example.pdf>. This document also contains the general guidelines for formatting of all submissions.
Anonymizing for Initial Review
As all submissions will be double-blind reviewed, the author's names(s) and affiliation(s) should not be included anywhere in the document for the initial submission. If referring to articles or documents by the same author(s) these should be removed from the text and reference list, and replace with <removed for refereeing>.
As it places a significant administrative burden on the conference organisers to ensure that your paper does not identify you as an author, and as this is central to the integrity of the double-blind review process, then failure to comply with these formatting requirements will result in rejection of your paper.
How to Submit
All submissions must be made via the ACIS2015 submission system<https://www.easychair.org/account/signin.cgi>.<https://www.easychair.org/account/signin.cgi> Author information, abstract, keywords and the main body of the submission will be uploaded separately in the review system. Authors can upload a manuscript which that can be altered, re-uploaded or deleted. Once an author "submits" a manuscript to the system, however, it can no longer be changed, edited, or revised.
Please note: No duplicated submissions to different tracks will be accepted.
Review Process
All paper submissions will be pre-screened for conformity with the submission guidelines and overall appropriateness for the conference. Paper submissions that pass the initial screening will be evaluated in a double-blind peer review process. These include full research papers, research-in-progress papers, teaching cases, and practitioner reports. Each conference track is chaired by IS academics with research expertise in the respective area. The track chairs will supervise the review process, involving selected reviewers from the IS research community. Acceptance and rejection decisions are will be finalized by the Programme Committee.
In general, the review criteria will be those typically used by major journals and conferences (e.g. relevance of the topic, quality of the research process, contribution etc). The results of the review process will be communicated to the author(s) by the specified date. The author(s) will be responsible for making the revisions recommended by the reviewers, and for submitting the final version of their paper by the appropriate deadline.
Commitment to participate in the conference
At least one author of each accepted paper and all the members of accepted panels must register for the conference.
