*Description:*
**
This Mini-Track will address research and curriculum in the
related disciplines and intersection of cyber security and
cyber forensics. The areas of Cyber Forensics and Cyber
Security are overlapping areas of extreme importance -- not
just to the national security of countries around the world,
but within those areas under rule of law where electronic
evidence is vetted and plays an important rule on the
determination of guilt or innocence. The areas of Cyber
Forensics and Cyber Security have grown to become integral
components of areas such as Cyber Law, Electronic Data
Discovery, Electronic Data Destruction, and Compliance.
Many laws exist today, requiring both public sector and
private sector managers to protect information systems and
assets. Appropriately collecting digital evidence when an
incident occurs is fundamental to bringing perpetrators of
computer related crimes to justice and preventing future
occurrences. An understanding of Cyber Forensics will be
needed not just by college students entering the various
fields within technology, but also by those individuals
entering business, criminal justice, law, accounting and
homeland security.

http://gnn.infotech.monash.edu.au/kicss2012
Creativity, to varying degree, is virtually existent in every aspect of life and in each of us. The ever-changing and conflicting world requires creative thinking, innovative ideas and implementations to stir us through competition, deal with challenges and to be successful. While creativity is seen as a human endeavour that cannot be fully replicated yet, there are certainly views and acknowledgement that support mechanisms and systems could aid the creative pursuit. Indeed research on creativity support systems is now an emerging field. Naturally multi-disciplinary in its nature, it is where advances and innovations are combined through a wide range of scientific, technological and management disciplines in systems practices. The KICSS conference aims to facilitate technology and knowledge exchange among researchers and practitioners in the field of knowledge science, information technology, systems science to enable creativity support and advance systems in aiding creativity pursuits.

CALL FOR PAPERS
18th Americas Conference on Information Systems
Seattle, Washington <x-apple-data-detectors://0/>, August
9-12, 2012 <x-apple-data-detectors://1/>
Track: Decision Support, Data Management Systems, Knowledge
Management, and Business Intelligence (SIGDSS)
Minitrack: Knowledge Management Value, Success and
Performance Measurements
DESCRIPTION
Research into knowledge management (KM), organizational
memories, and organizational learning has been affected by
investigations such as implementation aspects, system
developments, or knowledge flows during a number of years.
Therefore, a high maturity level of KM research has been
achieved. However, organizational KM initiatives are more
and more faced with budget cuts and justification demands
due to intense competition in todayâ??s business
environments. The influences of the rapid pace of
globalization and of the ongoing liberalization of national
and international markets lead to the emergence of increased
pressure on existing companies. Project managers of KM
initiatives like Chief Knowledge Officers need to justify
their budgets and thus are in need of qualitative and
quantitative evidence of the initiativesâ?? success. In
addition, ROI calculations and traditional accounting
approaches do not tell an adequate story when proposing
knowledge-based initiatives. This minitrack explores
research into strategies, methodologies, and stories that
relate to measure this success. In addition, this minitrack
will be used to explore the bodies of performance
measurements that define the current state of research in
measuring KM, organizational memory, and organizational
learning success. Eventually, another purpose of this
minitrack is to present research on how to value
knowledge-based initiatives
Topics of interest include, but are not limited to:
â?¢Frameworks and models for assessing knowledge management
and/or organizational memory systems
â?¢Methodologies and processes for measuring knowledge
management and/or organizational memory success and performance
â?¢Impact of knowledge management strategy, organization,
systems, culture, and other issues on knowledge
management/organizational memory success
â?¢Organizational effectiveness/efficiency due to knowledge
management/organizational memory/organizational learning,
knowledge and organizational memory use
â?¢Knowledge management, organizational memory, and
organizational learning metrics
â?¢Knowledge management, organizational memory, and
organizational learning success factors and key performance
indicators
â?¢Benchmarking of knowledge management/organizational
memory initiatives
â?¢Case studies of knowledge management and organizational
memory success and performance measurements
â?¢Measuring knowledge management and/or organizational
memory performance in global organizations and globally
dispersed communities
â?¢Effectiveness and/or efficiency of knowledge
management/organizational memory systems
â?¢Modeling and measuring the impact of social software on
knowledge management performance
â?¢Defining knowledge management and organizational memory
success
â?¢Rigorous anecdotes and user stories and their theoretical
basis to facilitate the value of knowledge-based initiatives
â?¢Developing grounded theory approaches to valuing
knowledge-based initiatives

AMCIS 2012 - Call for Papers
Mini-Track: Enterprise Architecture & Organizational Success
Enterprise Architecting (EA) is the process of developing an
enterprise Information Technology architecture -- both its
description and its implementation. An EA description
focuses on a holistic and integrated view of the why, where,
and who uses IT systems and how and what they are used for
within an organization. An enterprise architect (and his/her
team) develops the strategy and enables the decisions for
designing, developing, and deploying IT systems to support
the business operations as well as to assess, select, and
integrate the technology into the organization's
infrastructure. Alignment between business and IT has
remained one of the top three issues for CIOs and IS
managers for several years as reported by CIO magazine.
An EA implementation focuses on remediating, renovating, or
replacing IT systems in compliance with the EA description
to achieve the proposed benefits. EA is central to the
execution of business strategies. Organizations vary in
their degree of EA maturity. While the research literature
has devoted substantial attention to the development of
effective EA frameworks and the alignment of business and
IT, there is very little empirical evidence about the
organizational benefits of EA. For example, we know very
little about which processes, approaches or coordination
practices lead to an effective architecting effort or
whether this effort leads to measurable organizational
benefits.
Consequently, we are soliciting paper submissions that:
advance our knowledge of EA; help us learn about effective
processes and approaches to effectively manage the EA; and
begin to identify ways to measure the organizational
benefits derived from EA. Papers will be solicited in
several areas, including, but not limited to the following:
. Architecting Processes, Methodologies and Practices
. Architectural Frameworks and Theory
. Business Process Architecture
. Tools and Techniques Supporting Architecting
. Service-Oriented Architectures (including Web Services)
. System versus Software Architectures
. Addressing EA Challenges
. Integration of EA with IT Governance and SOA
. Surveys and Case Studies
. EA and Organizational Success

CALL FOR PAPERS
AMCIS 2012
Seattle, Washington
August 9-12, 2012**
Track: Decision Support, Data Management Systems, Knowledge
Management, and Business Intelligence (SIGDSS)
Mini-Track Title: Towards new Business Intelligence
Architectures
DESCRIPTION
Business Intelligence (BI) denotes integrated, IT-based
approaches to decision support based on internal and
external data. A BI approach binds together technologies,
applications, and processes for gathering, storing,
accessing, and analyzing data to help its users make better
and more consistent decisions. BI thereby contributes to an
organization's competitiveness and sustainable development.
The complexity of this task requires a prudent design of
architectures that balance efficiency and consistency
requirements (usually based on a Data Warehouse (SW) as the
central hub for transforming data into relevant information)
with demands for agility. The latter have gained
significantly in relevance in the current turbulent, global,
and networked business environments. Examples include
* the quick exploitation of new and advanced analytic
functionality, e.g. for data, text, or process mining,
* the deployment of real-time-triggers, or
* the fast inclusion and analysis of innovative data
sources, e.g. large volumes of textual data from the web
and the web 2.0 (Big Data), from governments (Open
Data), or from new internal systems (e.g. sensor data
from manufacturing and logistics).
New solutions proposed to deal with these challenges include
in-memory- BI or cloud-based BI -- approaches that raise a
multitude of issues regarding their integration into BI
architectures.
In order to be successful, architecture design needs to be
backed up by a multitude of organisational measures, e.g.
crafting an information management strategy, deriving
appropriate responsibilities and processes (i.e. data and BI
governance), managing DW/BI financials (e.g. funding and
charging), communicating DW/BI potential to the business,
and aligning DW/BI demand and supply. BI therefore deals
with the effective deployment of organizational practices,
processes, and technology to create wealth from an
organization's intangible assets such as knowledge, skills,
expertise and capabilities.
The focus of this track is on acquisition, creation,
transfer, internalization, and utilization of knowledge and
decision making capital at individual, group, organizational
and societal level. It aims to promote theoretical design
science and behavioural research in these domains. We

CALL FOR PAPERS
***********************************************************************
2nd Workshop on Formal Methods in the Development of Software (WS-FMDS)
http://antares.sip.ucm.es/ws-fmds2012/
Co-located with the 18th International Symposium on Formal Methods
FM 2012
http://fm2012.cnam.fr/
***********************************************************************
== SCOPE==
Developing software concerns all the aspects of the production cycle
of software systems and requires expertise in data management, design
and algorithm paradigms, programming languages, and human computer
interfaces. Most software development life cycle methodologies are
either iterative or follow a sequential model. Such systems may
contain a huge amount of lines of code. Thus, when developing these
systems, it is necessary to apply sound engineering principles in
order to economically obtain reliable and efficient software.
Formal methods refer to techniques based on mathematics for the
specification, development, and verification of systems. The use of
formal methods is especially important in reliable systems where, due
to safety and security reasons, it is important to ensure that errors
are not included during the development process. Formal methods are
particularly effective when used early in the development process, at
the requirements and specification levels, but can be used for a
completely formal development of a system. One of the advantages of
using a formal representation of systems is that it allows to
rigorously analyze their properties. In particular, it helps to
establish the correctness of the system with respect to the
specification or the fulfilment of a specific set of requirements, to
check the semantic equivalence of two systems, to analyze the
preference of a system to another one with respect to a given
criterion, to predict the possibility of incorrect behaviors, to
establish the performance level of a system, etc. This new workshop
welcomes papers on any aspect concerning the formal development of
software systems.
=== TOPICS OF INTEREST===
The aim of WS-FMDS is to bring together scientists and practitioners who
are active in the area of formal methods and interested in exchanging
their experiences in the industrial usage of these methods. This
workshop also strive to promote research and development for the
improvement of formal methods and tools for industrial applications.
Relevant topics include, but are not limited to:
* Formal methodologies applied to security, performance and quality of
Software.
* Model-driven development, testing, and analysis of Software.
* Applied formal testing.
* Combinations of different formal techniques.
* Measurement and metrics.
* Experience of industrial case studies.
* Implementation of platforms / tools.
=== PAPER SUBMISSION, REVIEW AND PUBLISHING ===
Submissions must be original and should not have been published previously
nor be under consideration for publication while being evaluated for this
workshop.
All papers must be submitted at the following submission site:
EasyChair paper submission page for WS-FMDS 2012. Each submitted paper
must conform to the Electronic Proceedings in Theoretical Computer
Science format and submission guidelines. Papers should not exceed 8
