======================================================================
Web Personalization and recommendation systems have been steadily gaining ground as essential components of today's Web based applications, including in e-commerce and customer relationship management, in the delivery of business services, in providing support for Web search and navigation, and in reducing cognitive overload in information rich interactive social Web applications. The proliferation of Web 2.0 applications has allowed users to go beyond simple consumers of information and instead actively participate in shaping collaborative environments in which users, resources, and user-provided content are all networked together. This, in turn has increased the need for more intelligent and personalized services that help users interact with and navigate these complex information spaces. These include a new generation of recommender systems that integrate multiple online channels, are more scalable, are more adaptive, can better handle user interactivity, and are more adep
t at user preference elicitation. To achieve this, such applications must rely on intelligent techniques from AI, machine learning, Web mining, statistics, and user modelling in order to leverage all available data, including the usage and click-stream data (reflecting user behaviour), the content and meta-data associated with resources, semantic domain knowledge, user profile information, and underlying network structures. Efficient and intelligent techniques are needed to mine this data for actionable knowledge, and to effectively use the discovered knowledge to enhance the users' experience.
The aim of this workshop is to bring together researchers and practitioners From Web Mining, Web Personalization, Recommender Systems, and User Modeling communities in order to foster an exchange of information and ideas and to facilitate a discussion of current and emerging topics related to the development of intelligent Web personalization and Recommender Systems.

--------------------------------------------------------
IT- Verantwortlichen erreicht. Das liegt u. a. an fehlenden
relevanten Themen einzureichen:
Software-Engineering und OS
* (Web-)Frameworks auf OS-Basis
* OS-Komponenten im SW-Entwicklungsprozess
* Software-Architekturen unter Einsatz von OS-Produkten

Enabled by the recent advances in web services, business process
automation, and service-oriented architectures, organizations around the
world have embarked on the development of the next-generation enterprise
infrastructures, referred to by some as "Service-Oriented Enterprises".
Essentially, service-oriented enterprises are organizations that take
advantage of service-oriented computing to support agile enterprises.
Gartner has defined enterprise agility as "the ability of an
organization to sense environmental change and respond efficiently and
effectively to that change." Currently, there are many open research
issues on the analysis and design for the service-oriented enterprises
that need attention from the MIS community. This minitrack provides a
forum for researchers and practitioners who are interested in presenting
their work in this area. The suggested topics are found in, although not
limited to, the following list:
·*Analysis and design of business services*
·*Best practices in analysis and design for service-oriented enterprises*
·*Business modeling in service-oriented enterprises*
·*Centrality of information in service-oriented enterprises*
·*Componentization of businesses*
·*Enterprise services for business process automation*

Betreff: [AISWorld] Final CfP - AMCIS 2012: Minitrack on Negative
Cognitions About IS
Datum: Tue, 28 Feb 2012 07:48:42 -0600
Von: Lockwood, Nick <LockwoodN(a)mst.edu>

CALL FOR PAPERS
AMCIS 2012
Seattle, Washington
August 9-12, 2012
Track: HCI Studies in Information Systems (SIGHCI)
Mini-track: Negative Cognitions About Information Systems
There is an increasingly persistent dichotomy in the way that emerging Information Systems (IS)-enabled patterns for work and collaboration are affecting IS users. On the one hand, they enable vast improvements in processes and decisions. On the other, they lead to negative cognitions and outcomes such as stress, frustrations and information overload. There has been a recent surge of interest in negative cognitions associated with using IS related, for example, to technostress, intrusiveness and deceptiveness, credibility and deception, addiction to technology use, and distrust. These studies explore various facets of detrimental conditions that users of IS experience-conditions that, given the ubiquity of IS use, are potentially pervasive.
The objective of this mini-track is to develop theoretical insight and understanding on HCI topics and issues that address this "troubling" side of IS. Submissions addressing all aspects of this topic are welcome. We welcome conceptual, theoretical or empirical research papers. We particularly welcome papers that apply theories and perspectives from different disciplines (e.g., theories of stress from psychology, information overload and interruption from information science, and work-life balance from industrial management) to examine various aspects of this phenomenon.
Topics of interest include, but are not limited to:
1. Implications for design of systems and interfaces regarding: conceptualizations of troubling or negative interactions between IS and users, such as interruptions, information overload, constant connectivity to work-related information processing, addiction to IS use, and difficulties in learning how to use constantly changing technologies and applications.
2. Implications for design of systems and interfaces regarding: outcomes from the above interactions such as stress, difficulty in concentrating, multitasking, user dissatisfaction, effects on productivity and performance, disruption of work-life balance, over-dependence on IS.
3. Any other HCI topics related to negative affective responses and the cause and effect relationships between cues embedded in system designs and/or methods that can mitigate or exacerbate those negative responses.
IMPORTANT DATES:
March 1, 2012 - Deadline for paper submissions
April 6, 2012 - Notification of acceptance
April 25, 2012 - Final copy due

Call For Papers
Future Internet Symposium 2012: Towards a Smart and Sustainable Future Internet
==========================================================================
May 21-23, Vilnius, Lithuania
Held together with the 15th International Conference Business Information Systems, BIS 2012.
http://bis.kie.ue.poznan.pl/15th_bis/fiscfp.php
Symposium Description:
—————————————————
While we cannot be sure about the concrete shape of the Future Internet (FI),
we can expect with confidence that it will continue touching more and more
aspects of our lives and our environment, and that it will provide novel
features that are often denoted as smart.
The smart applications in the FI are expected to bring people, things and
data together in innovative ways. Smart FI applications will come from
diverse areas such as entertainment, health, utilities, transport, mobility
and logistics. The FI will encompass the "Internet of Content", the "Social
Internet", the "Internet of Services", the "Internet of Things" and other
concepts that are being proposed. However, a simple analysis of the
anticipated smart applications and FI concepts reveals a set of conflicting
requirements. Hence, shaping the Future Internet to serve such diverse needs
and capabilities is a challenging task.
The aim of the 2012 Future Internet Symposium is to discuss the requirements
of novel FI application domains, the problems of the current Internet in
addressing those requirements, proposed solutions to these problems, and the
steps necessary to make the smart FI a reality. The interdisciplinary
symposium brings together scientists and engineers from academia and industry
and from various disciplines to exchange and discuss their ideas and
approaches for making the smart Future Internet happen.
