=========================================================================================
==========================
Important Dates
==========================
Paper Submission Deadline: 10 December, 2010 (Friday)
Author Notification: 21 January, 2011 (Friday)
Camera-Ready Deadline: 18 February, 2011 (Friday)
==========================
Workshop Scope
==========================
Deep and quantitative behavior analysis such as in social network
cannot be supported by traditional methodologies and techniques in
behavioral sciences. This leads to the emergence of inter-disciplinary
Behavior Representation, Modeling, Analysis and Management (namely
Behavior Informatics). The International Workshop on Behavior
Informatics (BI2011) provides an international forum for researchers
and industry practitioners to share their ideas, original research
results, as well as potential challenges and prospects encountered in
Behavior Informatics.
The BI2011 workshop welcomes theoretical work and applied
disseminations on the categories which will include but are not
limited to the following:
Behavior modeling: formalizing behaviors, relationships, impact and networks.
Impact-oriented behavior mining: behaviors associated with high
impacts are of particular importance, while impact-oriented behaviors
are often sparse, rare and imbalanced isolated in business and data;
identify impact-oriented behavior patterns involves different pattern
types and computational challenges.
Analysis of behavior social networks handling challenging issues such
as convergence and divergence of behavior, and the evolution and
emergence of hidden groups and communities.
Extracting discriminative behavior patterns from high-dimensional,
high-frequency, high-density, and huge amount of data.
Large intra-class variance between behaviors: Due to the highly
overlapped nature of behavior data, it is extremely difficult to build
a robust behavior model which is tolerant for one behavior category
while differentiate amongst other categories.
Behavior data processing from transactional space to behavior feature
space: Customer demographic and transactional data is generally
privacy-oriented, distributed and not organized in terms of behavior
but entity relationships. In such transactional entity spaces,
behavioral elements are dispersed and hidden within complex business
applications with weak or no direct linkages. As a result, current
behavior analysis which focuses on exterior features in demographic
and service usage data cannot effectively and explicitly scrutinize
human behavior patterns and impacts on businesses. To support genuine
behavior analysis on behavior interior, a challenging task is to
extract and transform transactional behavior-related elements into
explicit behavior features.

CALL FOR CONTRIBUTIONS ON
Research on Future Internet Enterprise Systems
and Scientific Foundations of Enterprise Interoperability
An International Competition
Future Internet Enterprise Systems play an important role in the quest of European enterprises to become more competitive, enlarge their target markets, and develop innovative products and services, while transforming towards new business models. Within this quest, Enterprise Interoperability (EI) has been a thriving applied research domain, studying the problems related to the lack of interoperability in the organizations, and proposing novel methods and frameworks for enterprise integration and collaboration problems. However, in spite of the research methods and tools developed so far, the scientific foundations for EI that would permit their generalization and complete reuse, have not yet been established.
In this context, the ENSEMBLE project (http://www.ensemble-csa.eu), funded by the European Commission, aims to coordinate research activities in the domain of Future Internet Enterprise Systems (FInES). Furthermore, ENSEMBLE aims to study systematically and formalize Enterprise Interoperability (EI) as a scientific domain, by combining systemic approaches, scientific multi-disciplinarity and a community-driven mentality.
Objectives of the Call
With this call for contributions, ENSEMBLE aims to attract high-quality innovative contributions, in the form of short papers that depict sound positions and views for either:
a. State of the art, new research fields and/or forward-looking challenges in the area of Future Internet Enterprise Systems. Each contribution should address one or more of the following questions:
* Why is research in the proposed field important in relation to enterprise environments?
* Which are the necessary research activities to be carried out in Future Internet Enterprise Systems? Which scientific gaps are they addressing?
* Taking into account the complexity of enterprise environments, which aspects are essential for the support of novel and reusable enterprise practices?
* What Future Internet enterprise applications could be envisaged by 2020, based on the research activities described? What is the anticipated benefit which may arise from the proposed research field?
b. Innovative approaches and formal methods addressing the foundation of Enterprise Interoperability science. Each contribution should address one or more of the following issues for Enterprise Interoperability:
* Foreseen basic research and foundational principles on interoperability
* Formal methods to describe interoperability problems and solutions
* State of the art in scientific methods for interoperability
* Populations of formal descriptions, generalization of approaches
* Scientific methods for interoperability in specific sectors and vertical domains
* Impact assessment, simulation methods and tools
* Proposals for academic curricula on interoperability
* Proposals on the value proposition and marketing of the scientific offerings for enterprise interoperability
New fields for Future Internet Enterprise Systems and Enterprise Interoperability are especially sought.
While the main focus of the contributions is on research approaches, the submission of position papers on the Enterprise Interoperability Science Base track outlining the history of established scientific disciplines, such as computer science, software engineering and services are also encouraged.
Award Scheme:
Up to 5 authors of the best papers submitted under this call will be invited to join the ENSEMBLE Expert Scientific Committee. Members of this committee have a key role in providing their expertise in specific research areas, in participating in the workshops that will be conducted during the project, and in presenting their comments and feedback to the project deliverables.
Beside the prestige and the opportunity to shape the EU research agenda on the Future Internet, each member of the Expert Scientific Committee will receive a sum of 2,500 EUR to fund participation in the activities of the project.
Submission Guidelines:
All submissions must be between 2,000 and 3,000 words, following the LNCS format: http://www.springer.com/cda/content/document/cda_downloaddocument/word.zip?…
Submissions by more than one author are welcome; however only the coordinating author (as indicated in the submission) of the selected paper will be invited to join the ENSEMBLE Expert Scientific Committee.
Please submit your contribution via e-mail to ensemble-csa(a)epu.ntua.gr together with a short biography of 150 words for each of the authors.
All selected contributions will be published in the ENSEMBLE website after the announcement of results.
Important Dates:
Deadline for submission of position papers: 1st November 2010

*CALL FOR PAPERS*
*/ Smart Mobile Media Services (SMMS) Track/*
*19th European Conference on Information Systems (ECIS 2011)*
Aalto University, Helsinki, Finland, June 9-11, 2011
http://www.ecis2011.fi
In the past few years, a number of significant developments
have occurred which have radicalized the environment for
smart mobile media services and the notion of widespread
mass consumer and business engagement in mobile (m-)
commerce activities (Varnali and Toker, 2009; Xu /et al/.,
2009; Wei /et al/., 2010). Smart Mobile Media Services
(SMMS) provide mobile subscribers with permission based,
dynamically profiled, location, context and task specified,
mobile Internet applications, content, products, services
and transactions for smart mobile media devices (O'Reilly
and Duane, 2010). The rapidly evolving and expanding market
for the development and provision of Smart Mobile Media
Services is primarily driven by the integration of numerous
mobile applications and technologies into one single Smart
Mobile Media Device (SMMD). Smart Mobile Media Devices
(SMMDs) provide subscribers with phone, SMS, MMS, GPS
navigation, photo and video cameras, digital format music
players/recorders, access to local and web based radio
stations, email and Internet access together with pre-loaded
and web based gaming applications (O'Reilly and Duane,
2010). Indeed, the current generation of leading edge Smart
Mobile Media Devices (SMMDs) incorporate GPS with greatly
improved spatial positioning accuracy, creating enormous
potential for personalised location based services (LBS).
In a commercial context, smart mobile media strategies are
being adopted by major global organisations such as KFC
(Higgs, 2008), Starbucks (Xu /et al/., 2009), Microsoft,
McDonalds, Coca-Cola, and Procter & Gamble (Wei /et al/.,
2010). In addition, global banking institutions are
increasingly deploying smart mobile applications. For
example, NatWest bank in the United Kingdom, launched a
fully functional banking application for the Apple IPhone in
November 2009. The importance of this phenomenon in a
commercial setting was further illustrated in January 2010
when Google entered the potentially lucrative Smart Mobile
Media Devices market, heretofore dominated by Blackberry,
Nokia, and Apple devices, launching the Nexus One Android
Smart Mobile Media Device.
Husson (2010) predicts that mobile Internet will reach 22%
of European mobile consumers by the end of the year, and
that the market for Smart Mobile Media Services (SMMS) is
set to grow exponentially, as users seek new services and
applications for their Smart Mobile Media Devices (SMMDs).
According to Forrester Research, 2010 is going to be the
year that every organisation needs a mobile strategy, and
that organisations need to plan ahead and start integrating
mobile applications and services into their overall strategy
(Husson, 2010).
With the provision of Smart Mobile Media Services (SMMS)
expected to grow significantly in the next few years
(Varnali and Toker, 2009; Wei /et al/., 2010), research
needs to be conducted to understand how commercial
organisations can offer sustainable, revenue generating
products/services to consumers. Furthermore, a greater
understanding of consumer adoption motivations for Smart
Mobile Media Services (SMMS) is needed. Indeed, Lee /et al/.
(2009) note that research focusing on individuals at
different stages of mobile data services adoption is in its
nascent stage.
*/Topics/*
We invite scholars and professionals from a broad range of
disciplines to submit to this special track. Both full
research papers and Research in Progress papers are welcome.
Papers may encompass theoretical analysis, modeling,
simulation, and empirical studies on Smart Mobile Media
Services (SMMS). Special topics of interest include, but are
not limited to, the following:
· Business models for Smart Mobile Media Services;
· Smart Mobile Services and Sustainable Futures;

CALL FOR PAPERS
*CKME11 - 3nd Workshop on the Convergence of Knowledge Management and
E-Learning*
http://www.wm-konferenz2011.org/ckme.html
within the 6th Conference Professional Knowledge Management - From
Knowledge to Action
21st of February to 23rd of February 2011, Innsbruck (Austria)
http://www.wm-konferenz2011.org/indexEN.html
Background and Motivation of the Workshop
=========================================
The workshop brings together researchers and practitioners that are
interested in combining findings from two different fields: knowledge
management and e-learning. Thereby, the content ranges from recent
scientific approaches via prototypical implementations up to field
reports about the convergence of knowledge management and e-Learning.
After the very successful first two CKME Workshops in 2007 and 2009, we
will proceed on this current topic. Thus, we would like to keep up the
discussion concerning the integration of concepts, processes, and
systems for the fields of knowledge management and e-learning.
The workshop mainly focuses on two issues: a) how can knowledge,
learning and business processes be integrated, and b) how can the
related systems be integrated to enable an efficient workflow.
Currently, even less learning environments take the context and the
environment into account. Using mobile and ambient technologies can lead
to a paradigm shift in the construction of such environments: from
static to highly contextualized knowledge experiences. Based on the
integration of these systems into social networks and social software
applications, formal and informal collaborative interactions will
further enhance this effect.
Topics of Interest
==================
We appreciate submissions from all areas contributing to the development
and application of convergent systems especially targeting the above
mentioned levels of convergence. Thereby, we encourage contributions
addressing technology-oriented as well as human-oriented approaches.
Topics of interest include but are not limited to:
* Convergence of processes and systems
* Implementing and establishing convergent solutions
* Using web 2.0 applications for KM and E-Learning integration
* Contextualisation (e.g., location-based services, mobile solutions,
internationalisation)
* Tools and implementations
* Social networks and social media as convergence tools
* Prototypes / Cases Studies
The workshop should lead to comprehensive insights into integrated
knowledge and learning solutions.

=============================================================================
Ziele / Objectives
==================
1. Plattform zum Aufbau eines Netzwerks für junge Forscher /
Establish contacts between young researchers in the region
Der Workshop zielt darauf ab, junge Forscher im
Service-Bereich zusammenzubringen. Wir möchten ein
wissenschaftliches

werden kann. Der
Workshop soll eine Plattform zur Präsentation aktueller
Forschungsergebnisse und -bereiche bieten.
We aim at bringing together young researchers who work
in the same
geographic and the same scientific region. This way, we
would like to
provide an opportunity for people to establish a
scientific network that
can be intensely used, including mutual visits at
affordable costs. The
workshop will serve as platform to present current
research ideas and
research directions. German will be the main language at
the workshop.
English talks and corresponding discussions, however,
are welcome.
Konferenzpapiers verwenden. Dies unterscheidet uns von
anderen Workshops
und Konferenzen.
We offer a forum to discuss ideas at a level that is more
work-in-progress than in a traditional conference.
Participants can get
feedback from outside their group before a submission to
a reviewed
conference. This makes ZEUS an original opportunity to
discuss ideas.

2010 --
*IADIS INTERNATIONAL CONFERENCE MOBILE LEARNING 2011*
Avila, Spain, 10 to 12 March 2011
(http://www.mlearning-conf.org/)
** Conference background and goals*
The IADIS Mobile Learning 2011 International Conference
seeks to provide a forum for the discussion and presentation
of mobile learning research. In particular, but not
exclusively, we aim to explore the theme of mobile learning
under the following:
Topics
• Pedagogical approaches and theories for mobile lifelong
learning. For instance, situated, contextual and authentic
mobile lifelong learning
• Social software for mobile learning
• Gaming, simulations and augmented reality for mobile learning
• Mobile learning in formal educational institutions
• Mobile learning in informal setting
• Tools, technologies, and platforms for mobile learning
• User studies of mobile learning
• Research methodologies and evaluation of mobile learning
• Ethical issues regarding mobile learning
Conference special theme: Mobile Lifelong Learning (mL3)
Lifelong learning (L3) has been defined as “All learning
activity undertaken throughout life, with the aim of
improving knowledge, skills and competencies within a
personal, civic, social and/or employment-related
perspective” (European Commission, 2002 p. 7). L3 qualifies
a society as a context in which there are learning
possibilities for those who want to learn (Fischer, 2001)
and implies a shift from “provider-driven ‘education’ toward
individualised learning” UNESCO (1999). Lifelong learning
is: often self-directed, interest and needs driven; it
occurs predominantly in informal and too-rich environments;
and frequently implies a collaborative activity (Fischer &
Sugimoto 2006) among learners transiting through learning
events in life.
Early research in the design of mobile technologies for
lifelong learning (Sharples, 2000) pointed to highly
portable, individual, unobtrusive, available anywhere,
adaptable to the learner's development, persistent, useful
for everyday needs, and intuitive personal tools.
Technological advancements have delivered mobile devices and
applications which meet and surpassed early requirements and
which have position mobile technologies as an essential part
of the new ecology for lifelong learning.
** Format of the Conference *
The conference will comprise of invited talks and oral
presentations. The proceedings of the conference will be
published in the form of a book and CD-ROM with ISBN, and
will be available also in the IADIS Digital Library
(accessible on-line).
Authors of the best published papers will be invited to
publish extended versions of their papers in
the "International Journal of Mobile and Blended Learning
(ISSN: 1941-8647)", in the IADIS Journal on Computer Science
and Information Systems (ISSN: 1646-3692) and also in other

Information technology has transformed social networking and
collaboration. Increasingly, businesses use social
networking technologies to foster knowledge management and
to transform their approach to marketing, advertising,
research, and stakeholder engagement. As individuals and
businesses discover the potential and value of IT-enabled
social networks, there is a need to articulate and quantify
the antecedents of adoption, diffusion, business value, and
societal impacts of social networks.
The July/August 2011 issue of IT Professional will focus on
social networking and collaboration. Topics of interest
include, but aren't limited to, the following:
* Emerging applications of social networking and
collaboration in business processes and personal life
* Approaches to assess the value of social networking and
collaboration at the individual, business, and societal levels
* Best practices to implement social networking and
collaboration
* Use of social networking and collaboration in the
nonprofit and government sectors
* Potential and pitfalls of social networking and collaboration
* Applications and value of social networking and
collaboration in emerging economies
We welcome research summaries; articles on best practices,
strategies, and policies; case studies; experience reports;
and essays on the current state of practice relating to
social networking and collaboration.
