About the Venue:
Porto city and Gaia city are two of Europe’s oldest tourist
destinations. Its wealth of monumental and artistic heritage, Port Wine,
open-air leisure spaces and cultural life are just some of the reasons
to visit this city. At any time of the day, 365 days of the year, Porto
has a special charm for anyone visiting the city for the first time, as
it does for those coming back for a second visit, to discover a city
that is simultaneously modern and authentic. In 1996, the historical
centre of Porto was classified by UNESCO as a World Heritage Site.
Yours sincerely,
Nuno Mateus-Coelho, PhD

Shared-Desk-Konzepte
werden wahrscheinlicher, genauso wie die vermehrte Nutzung
aktivitätenbasierter Zonengestaltung in Büroflächen, da Projektarbeit,
Hier kommen
auch erneut BYOD-Konzepte in die Diskussionen (Bring Your Own Device).
So stellen Cognitive

**About HIS 2021**
------------------
Hybridization of intelligent systems is a promising research field of
modern artificial/computational intelligence concerned with the development
of the next generations of intelligent systems. A fundamental stimulus to
Hybrid Intelligent Systems (HIS) investigations is the awareness in the
academic communities about the necessity of the combined approaches to
solving the remaining challenging problems in artificial/computational
intelligence. Hybrid Intelligent Systems are recently getting popular due
to their capabilities in handling several real-world complexities involving
imprecision, uncertainty, and vagueness. HIS'21 built on the success of the
previous HIS conferences. HIS'21 is the 21st International conference that
brings together researchers, developers, practitioners, and users of soft
computing, computational intelligence, agents, logic programming, and
several other intelligent computing techniques. It aims to increase the
awareness of the research community about the broad spectrum of hybrid
approaches. It brings together worldwide AI researchers to present their
cutting-edge results, discuss the current trends in HIS research, and
develop a collective vision of future opportunities. Thereby helping the
researchers and practitioners establish international collaborative
opportunities, and as a result, advancing the state-of-the-art of the field.

public sector will be discussed, drawing on a variety of methodologies,
theoretical frameworks and empirical cases, in order to capture the
unique phenomena triggered by the increasing adoption of AI in public
management.
This handbook aims at bringing together contributions from experts in
many areas of artificial intelligence and digital governance, in an
attempt to explain how AI affects various types of administrations, and
how the public sector is affecting the evolution of focused and more
generic AI systems and infrastructures.

The ICDH organizing committee is hosting a student competition event for
US-based graduate students and support participant’s registration fees.
The students will be selected based on a project idea submission which
will be evaluated by distinguished judges. Winners also will receive
mentoring from selected judges. The mentoring activities will explore
and expand research ideas on digital health. Minorities and women
graduate students from diverse institutes are encouraged to apply
throughout the diffusion of the participation grant in minority-serving
institutions. Post-doctoral students may also be considered for support
on a case-by-case basis.
*****PARTICIPATION GUIDELINES*****
---Students submit a proposal for participation (max 2 pages) where they
will describe their research idea or work in one of the available
categories. Work in preliminary planning phases will be considered.
Categories to be considered will include 1) Digital health projects for
diabetes and blood pressure management; 2) Digital health projects for
cancer management; and 3) General digital health projects for other
healthcare purposes.
---Accepted students will receive the participation grant reimburses
ICDH registrations
---Accepted students will participate in a one-day work competition,
where they will present the research idea and preliminary results (if
applicable) to a judging panel.
---Accepted students will participate in virtual mentoring sessions with
distinguished speakers that will explore the different topics and
research challenges in the above categories.
---Accepted students will participate in an award ceremony, where the
best projects will be announced. There will be monetary awards to the
winners.
---Students must accept an acknowledgment that they do not have any
other source of support.
*****AWARDS*****
First Place: $1000
Second Place: $600
