_CALL FOR PAPERS: RESEARCH TRACK_
As businesses continue to derive value from data analytics, the
explosive growth in big data, fueled in part, by the digital ubiquity of
the Internet of Things (IoT), social media, and technology-facilitated
human networks, presents new opportunities and challenges. Research is
needed to examine the role of data and analytics in enabling meaningful
networking, harnessing new business and societal opportunities through
massive data sharing, leading to deeper understanding of the implication
of unlimited connectivity across organizational boundaries and disparate
datasets. The research is also due to societal, organizational and
individual issues flowing from the creation of "anytime/anywhere"
connectedness and the abundance of data. Additionally, applying a
fundamental understanding of human decision making theories and
established principals of decision support systems and approaches - we
recognize the need to lift the current body of knowledge in this area in
order to come up with robust new business models and technical
architectures that may transform organizations and societies leveraging
connected data and analytics.
This research track aims to promote computational, theoretical
(mathematical or social sciences driven) as well as empirical studies in
the areas of data analytics, big data and their various applications in
different domains. We seek comprehensive COMPLETED RESEARCH or early
stage RESEARCH-IN-PROGRESS papers on topics including, but not limited
to:
* Data analytics in various business sectors (e.g., financial
services, manufacturing, retail, pharmaceutical, healthcare, government,
agribusiness, hospitality and entertainment, supply chain, etc.)
* Big data and organizational transformation
* Artificial Intelligence, machine learning, deep learning,
reinforcement learning, and active learning methodologies and
applications for decision support
* Social media and marketing analytics
* Network and collaborative analytics for decision support
* Analytics connecting data and processes (e.g., process mining)
* Data analytics for sustainability (e.g., data analytics and
operational sustainability practices for sustainable business
management, big data and social media analytics for business to business
sustainability, big data and predictive analytics capability for supply
chain sustainability, orchestrating data analytics capability for
sustainability, etc.)
* Analytics using IoT devices such as wearables, RFID, etc.
* Data mining with blockchains and cryptocurrencies
* Data analytics and business intelligence theory and applications
* Innovative data-driven decision support tools and techniques
* Data analytics in behavioral research
* Predictive, descriptive and prescriptive approaches to analytics
* Natural language processing applications
* Data analytics technologies and applications
* Risks and benefits of interconnected decision-making(e.g., privacy

Liebe Kolleginnen, Liebe Kollegen,
Capabilities”_*
17. Internationale Tagung Wirtschaftsinformatik (WI2022), 21.-23.
Februar 2022, Friedrich-Alexander-Universität Erlangen-Nürnberg

*Track Chairs*
-Andreas Janson (Universität St. Gallen)
-Sofia Schöbel (Universität Kassel)
-Matthias Söllner (Universität Kassel)
-Stefan Thalmann (Universität Graz)
*Beschreibung*
dedizierte, neue Kurs- bzw. Qualifikationsangebote). In diesem
Ebenso ergeben
sich neue Cybersecurity Herausforderungen. Unternehmen müssen also
Vergleiche
zwischen verschiedenen Lernformen und Möglichkeiten zur Steigerung
der Teilnahme-/Abschlussquote)
* KI-basierte Systeme in der Bildung
* Serious Gaming und Gamifizierung
* Die dunkle Seite der Bildungsdigitalisierung
* Digitale Arbeitsräume und Wissensmanagement
* KI-basierte Systeme für das Lernen am Arbeitsplatz
* Entwicklung hybrider Intelligenz zwischen Menschen und KI-basierten
Systemen
* Gestaltung, Integration und Wartung von digitalen Arbeitsbereichen
* Nudging für Lernen am (digitalen) Arbeitsplatz
* Tutorensysteme/Pädagogische Agenten am Arbeitsplatz
* Virtuelles und augmentiertes Lernen
* Sensibilisierung für neue Technologien
* Bewusstsein für Risiken der Digitalisierung
* Bewusstsein für Cybersicherheitsrisiken
* Integration in digitale Lieferketten
* Auswirkungen der Digitalisierung auf Geschäftsmodelle
* Auswirkungen der Digitalisierung auf Geschäftsprozesse

Overview of the Special Issue
In an era of heightened uncertainty and urgency around disruption,
digital transformation has become a global priority on leadership
agendas and researchers across the Information Systems (IS) field
(Bughin et al. 2019; Chanias et al. 2019; Hess et al. 2016; Matt et al.
2015; Vial, 2019). Digital transformations are typically described as
strategic changes through the use of digital technologies to extend an
organisation’s business model, which result in changed products and
processes, improved customers engagement, and new organisational
structures to provide digital-based services (Hess et al. 2016; Matt et
al. 2015; Müller et al. 2016; Sebastian et al. 2017). Leaders have
growing expectations from the promise of digital transformations to make
a strategic contribution to their business’ survival and success (Berman
2012; Vial, 2019), for example, by extending existing business models
through the integration of advanced technologies (Wiesböck and Hess,
2020). However, digital transformation is still in its infancy (Vial
2019). Compared to insights on digital technologies, the extant
literature provides sparse coverage on theoretical developments or
empirical research that can explain the process of digital
transformation, such as how transformations become implemented,
embedded, integrated, and evaluated in practice. With such a void in our
understanding, it may be unsurprising to learn that approximately 70% of
all digital transformation initiatives do not reach their goals (Bucy et
al. 2016) with billions of dollars going to waste (Tabrizi et al. 2019).
Of the successful digital transformations, it is estimated that there is
a 45 percent chance of delivering less profit than expected (Bughin et
al. 2019). Clearly, the process of digital transformation within an IS
context is not well understood (Carroll, 2020; Rowe, 2018; Vial, 2019)
although we continue to build weak assumptions on how digital
transformations can be managed and sustained. Fundamentally, this raises
questions on how digital transformat
ions are managed, and what techniques we need to introduce to offer
better guidance on sustaining them. Against this background, this
Special Issue calls for more research on managing digital
transformations and deepening our discourse on how to better sustain
digital transformations in practice (Baiyere et al. 2019; Hassan et al.
2019; Wessel et al. 2020).
Topics of Interest
We welcome IS accounts of digital transformations at the individual,
group/team, organisational or societal level across all possible
domains. We solicit conceptual papers, case studies (and comparative
cases), surveys, experiments, qualitative research, design science
research, and collaborative action research among academics and
practitioners that illustrate novel approaches to managing digital
transformations and overcoming specific challenges with sustaining the
transformation process. We especially seek papers that offer new
theoretical models along with evidence of consequences related to
managing and sustaining digital transformations. Some of the key topics
we are interested in include (but are not limited to):
* Digital transformation strategies, practices and processes
* Digital transformation mindset, culture and roles
* Socio-technical factors for managing and sustaining digital
transformations
* The role of analytics and big data in managing and sustaining digital
transformation
* Information systems development in digital transformation
* Sustaining and evaluating digital transformations
* Agility and urgency in digital transformations
* Governance for digital transformations
* Evolving and competing across platforms for digital transformations
* Enablers and barriers of managing and sustaining digital transformations
* IS ethical and corporate responsibility considerations for digital
transformation
* Success or failure of digital transformations
* Open innovation for digital transformations
* Building digital resilience in the face digital transformation

Call for Workshops
***********************
The International Conference on Mobile and Ubiquitous Multimedia (MUM
2021) welcomes proposals for workshops. A MUM Workshop is a forum for
attendees with shared interests to present, discuss, and develop new
ideas around a specific theme or domain related to Mobile and Ubiquitous
Multimedia. It is the perfect opportunity for putting the best minds in
the field together to build new communities, to explore new ideas, and
to develop emerging topics.
All workshops will take place on the Sunday before the conference, on
the 5th of December. Because workshops are meant to encourage ideas
exchange, we encourage proposals that go beyond being a mini-conference
and that engage participants in hands-on activities and in discussion.
We also encourage organisers to open the workshops to conference
attendees without a workshop paper, but who would be interested in
participating.
If you are interested in submitting a proposal and wish to discuss your
ideas prior to the submission deadline, the workshop chairs welcome any
inquiries. You can contact us at workshoptutorial2021(a)mum-conf.org.

About Porto:
Porto is one of Europe’s oldest tourist destinations. Its wealth of
monumental and artistic heritage, Port Wine, open-air leisure spaces,
and cultural life are just some of the reasons to visit this city. At
any time of the day, 365 days of the year, Porto has a special charm for
anyone visiting the city for the first time, as it does for those coming
back for a second visit, to discover a city that is simultaneously
modern and authentic. In 1996, the historical center of Porto was
classified by UNESCO as a World Heritage Site.
Yours sincerely,
Nuno Mateus-Coelho
CyberKnife Organization Chair
