===START
Liebe Kolleginnen und Kollegen, sehr geehrte Damen und Herren,
wir laden Sie recht herzlich zur *14. Internationalen Tagung
Wirtschaftsinformatik* (https://wi2019.de/) vom *24.-27. Februar 2019
jeden Aspekt unseres Alltags, ja unserer Existenz, umgestalten. Heute

Co-located with
Datalog 2.0 Workshop
International Workshop on Bidirectional Transformations
International Workshop on Theory and Practice of Provenance
---------------------------------------------------------------------------
AIMS AND SCOPE
LPNMR 2019 is the fifteenth in the series of international meetings
on logic programming and non-monotonic reasoning. LPNMR is a forum
for exchanging ideas on declarative logic programming, non-monotonic
reasoning, and knowledge representation. The aim of the conference is
to facilitate interactions between researchers and practitioners
interested in the design and implementation of logic-based programming
languages and database systems, and those working in knowledge
representation and nonmonotonic reasoning. LPNMR strives to encompass
theoretical and experimental studies that have led or will lead to
advances in declarative programming and knowledge representation, as
well as their use in practical applications. A Doctoral Consortium
will also be a part of the program.
This year's edition of the conference seeks to raise submissions devoted
towards use of LPNMR techniques in emerging applications stemming from such
areas as deep learning, robotics, cybersecurity, modeling cyberphysical
systems, and human-aware AI. Aspects that have been studied in commonsense
reasoning, inconsistency tolerance, and handling of dynamic knowledge appear
essential in enabling these emerging applications to provide
explanations and justifications of their outcomes. LPNMR 2019 aims to
bring together researchers from LPNMR core areas and application areas of
the aforementioned kind in order to share research experiences, promote
collaboration and identify directions for joint future research.

Synopsis
Traditional Software Engineering (SE) research and practices include
requirements engineering, software project management, design,
development, testing and implementation of software applications. This
discipline is well developed as the practice has been well established
over the past 50 years or so, however, with the emergence of the high
attractive paradigm of Cloud Computing, the tools and techniques for
Software Engineering are changing. Cloud Computing provides the latest
software development environments, and necessary platforms relatively
easily and inexpensively. It also allows the provision of software
applications equally easily and on a pay-as-you-go basis. Business
requirements for the use of software are also changing. There is a need
for applications for Bid Data Analytics, parallel computing, AI, Natural
Language Processing, biometrics, etc. These require huge amount of
computing power and sophisticated data management mechanisms as well as
device connectivity for th
e IoT environments. Cloud Computing offerings, in terms of hardware,
software, communication, and storage are highly attractive for
developing complex software that is now becoming a need of the hour for
all sectors of life including commerce, health, education,
transportation, etc.
The focus of the suggested book is on the development and implementation
of cloud-based complex software that allows parallelism, fast
processing, and real-time connectivity. The relevant topics include the
following:
* Concepts, history, development and future cloud-based SE
* SE innovative applications and methodologies
* Requirement engineering for SE in the cloud
* Autonomic software systems for industrial processes
* Communication protocols for cloud-based SE
* Information security as relevant to cloud SE
* Secure software development and Cyber security in the era of SE in the
cloud
* Cloud Requirements Engineering methods and tools
* Programming methods for the cloud
* Business Process Modelling and Simulation
* Creating cloud-aware software development approaches
* Cloud Service Design Methods and Techniques
* Cloud SaaS Architectural Design Methods
* Software Security Eng for Cloud Service Design/Development
* Cloud Testing and Deployment Methods and Technologies
* Software Engineering Technologies in the Cloud
* Software Engineering as a Service (SEaaS) Methods/Tools
* Agile Software Engineering for Cloud Driven Applications
* Software Engineering for Financial Cloud Applications
* Software Engineering for Machine Learning and AI
* Software Engineering for IoT, IIoT, and IoE
* Software Engineering for Big Data Applications & Big Data SE
* Software Engineering Analytics and Predictive Analytics Approaches with ML
* Software Engineering for Blockchain Applications
* Software Engineering for Serverless Computing
Hopefully, the proposed text will fill a gap in the SE literature and
practice by providing scientific contributions from researchers and
practitioners, focusing on frameworks, methodologies, applications,
benefits, and inherent issues/barriers of engineering software using the
cloud computing paradigm.

(Sponsored by SIGODIS)
Mini-track : Artificial Intelligence and Intelligent Systems
Mini-track Chairs: Vijayan Sugumaran, sugumara(a)oakland.edu; Stefan Kim,
stefan.kirn(a)uni-hohenheim.de
Artificial Intelligence and Intelligent Systems are experiencing a
resurgence and have been recognized as one of the most important
developments in Information Systems. Significant progress has been made
over the last few years in the development of computational intelligence
techniques such as bio/nature-inspired computing, deep learning, and
cognitive computing within the artificial intelligence domain.
Similarly, there is an upsurge in the application of AI technologies and
multi-agent systems in a variety of fields such as electronic commerce,
supply chain management, resource allocation, intelligent manufacturing,
mass customization, information retrieval and filtering, decision
support, and healthcare. While research on various aspects of
intelligent systems and semantic technologies is progressing at a very
fast pace, this is only the beginning. There are still a number of
issues that have to be explored in terms of the design, implementation
and deployment of intelligent applications and multi-agent systems. For
example, development of novel techniques for computational intelligence
in support of deep learning, formal approaches for designing intelligent
systems and agent based applications, ontology based information
systems, and organizational impact of intelligent systems & semantic
technologies are some of the areas in need of further research.

http://www.ficloud.org/2019/
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
The Internet of Things (IoT) vision is to provide a dynamic and global
network infrastructure which is characterized by intelligent and self
configuring capabilities. IoT is considered as an integral part of the
future Internet. It is based on interoperable communication protocols in
order to enable the interaction and integration of virtual as well as
physical Things such as computers, smart devices, sensors, cars,
refrigerators, food packages, medicines, etc. Things can be seamlessly
integrated into the information network and interaction can be made through
the provision of intelligent interfaces. In not so distant future, IoT will
be forcing its way into every aspect of our lives and technologies
including smart homes, smart cities, environment and nature, green energy,
food, medicine, automotive, aerospace and aviation, telecommunication, and
so on.
IoT is generally characterized by real world and small Things, limited
capacity, constrained devices and the consequential issues such as less
reliability, security and privacy. Cloud computing on the other hand deals
mainly with virtual world and has unlimited capabilities in terms of
storage and processing power. Thus cloud and IoT are the main complementary
aspects of the future Internet. IoT can benefit from the unlimited
capabilities and resources of cloud computing. Similarly, cloud can benefit
from IoT by extending its scope to deal with real world things in a more
distributed and dynamic manner.
The theme of this conference is to promote the state of the art in
scientific and practical research of the IoT and cloud computing. It
provides a forum for bringing together researchers and practitioners from

*Posters and Demos
*
The presentation of posters and demos is a key element of the ECSCW
conference. For presenters as well as recipients, the poster & demo
session provides a lively environment for getting in touch with
late-breaking research, preliminary results, innovative ideas, and
early-stage student research. At a special session during the conference
authors are given the opportunity to showcase their research to
interested delegates, as well as involving them in discussions about
their work, exchanging ideas, providing feedback, and sharing
work-in-progress relating to CSCW.
Posters provide a great opportunity for presenting research results
visually supported and offering key ideas to conference visitors.
Demos may be submitted in various kinds: These may be research
prototypes or commercial products, but we also strongly invite low-fi

CALL FOR PAPERS
AW4city 2019, 5th International ACM Smart City Workshop: Enhancing Urban
Mobility with Web Applications
In conjunction with The Web Conference (WWW’19): 29th World Wide Web
International Conference, San Francisco, May 13, 2019
http://aw4city2019.wordpress.com
Important Dates
-------------------------
Extended submissions due: Feb 14, 2019, 2019 (23:59 Anywhere on Earth
(AoE) time zone)
Notification of Acceptance: Feb. 21, 2019.
Camera-ready version due: Mar. 3, 2019.
Workshop authors’ registration and camera-ready papers: Mar. 3, 2019
Workshop day: May 13, 2019
Workshop Objective
----------------------------
Following up the success of the past events at WWW2015, WWW2016, WWW2017
and WWW2018, the 5th AW4City 2019 aims to keep on attracting a
significant international attention with regard to web applications for
smart cities.
This year, AW4City emphasizes on the contribution of web applications
and Apps to urban mobility. In the era of cities and under the UN 2030
Agenda for sustainable growth, cities are making an important shift
regarding thinking of compact cities and they develop sustainable
mobility plans. Issues like parking, traffic congestion and safety,
sharing transportation and smart parking are among the topics where
governments and the industry direct smart services, while data
collection and analysis enable government’s fast –or even real-time-
decision-making for alternative transportation means’ deliberation,
public transportation changes, urban planning etc., and new business
models appear that utilize platforms and data. Additionally, new types
of business in transportation appear (e.g., that utilize sensors and big
data), while things’ transportation is another challenge that cities
have been started phasing. Τhis workshop aims to demonstrate how web
applications and Apps can enhance transportation services and urban
mobility in general.
The aim of this workshop is to address web-based application and Apps’
design and development in the smart city and urban context. More
specifically, it focuses on innovative applications smart city component
and more specifically on the design and implementation of web-based
applications and Apps. This component is crucial, since it addresses all
the smart city dimensions:
• Economy, since new types of entrepreneurship and innovative business
models appear in data, creative and climate economies, and develop web
applications and Apps.
• Mobility, with regard to urban transportation (intelligent
transportation), distance working, job offering demonstration etc.
• Environment, since applications enhance resource management,
transportation improvement, environmental monitoring etc.
• Living, since applications enhance local life (i.e., e-learning,
e-banking, e-commerce, e-tourism etc.).
• People, since they concern applications’ end users and
• Governance, where open data and e-government applications play crucial
roles in smart city operation.
Theoretical concepts, empirical evidence and selected case studies from
leading scholars and practitioners in the field showing the “big
picture” of smart cities and urban areas will be examined in this workshop.
This workshop aims at gathering researchers from the fields of smart
cities and web application development to think about the obstacles that
hurdle the leveraging of understanding and capturing of smart city
trends with regard web application development that interconnect
citizens, businesses and government in a smart city.
AW4City 2019 is timely since sustainable transportation has been
addressed as one of the UN Agenda 2030 strategic goals, while ISO37120
and ISO37122 that certify city services focus on smart and sustainable
transportation too. Last but not least, customer satisfaction is being
measured real-time, while corresponding safety can be ensured with the
use of platforms (e.g., Uber and Lyft). All these issues are being
supported by data, the Web and Apps and it is important to focus on
future achievements.
Additionally, an increasing criticism is that smart city represents an
ambiguous urban utopia, which is supported by the partnership of local
governments with big technological vendors. Articles can deliver a
clearer view of smart city reality, while innovative applications can
strengthen the existence of opportunities for new entrants in the smart
city market. Moreover, most standardization bodies evolve competitive
standards for smart city components and to this end, this workshop is
expected to highlight existing development and trends with regard to
application development (web-based, apps and end-to-end).
We target researchers from both industry and academia to join forces in
this exciting area. We intend to discuss the recent and significant
developments in the general areas of smart cities and web applications
and to promote cross-fertilization of techniques. In particular, we aim
at identifying trends and respective applications in smart cities; the
potential impact of smart city in web applications; techniques from
end-to-end solutions’ or apps’ development that will enable researchers
to understand the dynamic phenomena in smart cities, as well as specify
important directions for the research communities. Standards for web
applications’ development in smart cities is interesting for several
areas such as sustainability, crisis management, marketing, security,
and interoperability. To address the above mentioned aspects, we solicit
the following topics (but not limited to):
• Enhancing mobility experience with Web Applications and Apps;
• Apps that support mobility, sharing, crowd-sourcing etc.;
• Smart City management systems with emphasis on mobility (e.g. parking;
traffic etc.);
• Mobility Practices of Web applications and Apps in smart cities;
• Theoretical foundations on Smart City applications and standards;
• Creative partnerships, creative industries and industry 4.0 in Smart
City with a focus on application development (Internet Economics and
Monetization);
• Pervasive Web and Mobility for Smart City emerging topics (i.e., user

Submission
-------------------------------------
We welcome full research papers, research in progress, and discussion
papers. Full papers should be up to 10 pages long, including the
abstract and appendices.
Discussion papers may be short (up to 6 pages), but should clearly and
distinctly address one or more issues pertinent to Smart City research
including research methods and quality as well as focus of studies.
Papers should be designed to support in-depth discussions of one of
these issues during the workshop. Although it is a half-day event, the
workshop papers will be clustered and each session will discuss a small
set of papers focusing on similar or related issues.
Accepted refereed papers, must be presented at the conference by an
author who is registered to attend. Please be aware that the WWW 2019
organizers will require at least one registration per paper published in
either the main Proceedings or in the Companion volume. At the time of
submission of the final camera-ready copy, authors will have to indicate
the already registered person for that publication. We strongly
encourage at least one author of every paper to register by the
early-bird deadline so that session chairs can make plans for its
presentation.
Please submit your papers via the Easychair
(https://easychair.org/conferences/?conf=aw4city2019) or via e-mail (in
.doc/docx and .pdf format) to: lanthopo(a)teilar.gr with the subject:

*Description of Minitrack*
Social media have become an important way for private persons, politicians,
media/journalists and organizations to communicate publicly. This offers
new potentials for societies (e.g. transparency, consensus building) but
also challenges such as misinformation, fake news or manipulation. Hence,
there is an urgent need for comprehensive concepts as well as methods which
exist independent of particular current platforms and applications.
Therefore, in this mini track we are looking for research that investigates
the impact of social media on welfare of societies. Moreover, current
developments in data science, user behavior, privacy, and trust in the
context of society could be considered in articles submitted to the mini
track. In this minitrack we are looking for empirical studies (quantitative
and qualitative) as well as conceptual papers and design orientated
articles.
Topics include, but are not limited to:
- fandom in social media
- social movements in social media
- crisis situations (and communication) in social media
- political communication in social media
- impact of social media on the welfare of societies
- negative effects: fake news, mis- and disinformation, rumours
- automated accounts/social bots
- social capital and social support
- impact of social media on equality and inequality (e.g. of minorities,
genders) within societies
*Important Dates*
- January 7, 2019: Manuscript submissions open
- March 1, 2019: 10 am PST Deadline for paper submissions
- April 15, 2019: Authors will be notified of decisions
- April 24, 2019: Camera-ready submissions due
