The workshop will bring together scholars from different disciplines with a shared interest in the contribution of information systems methods to digital humanities, in particular in prosopographical research. One aim of the workshop is to explore the relationship between the fields of Information Systems and Digital Humanities. We call for contributions which investigate: (i)The application of information technology in the humanities. Contributions are solicited on humanities computing, i.e. the computer-based study of various humanities disciplines. (ii)The ways to enhance information systems by interweaving methods from the humanities. Contributions are solicited on “humanities-enriched computing”, i.e. humanities approaches towards various aspects of computing and IS. He and I are working on this exciting project about a new paradigm change for both practitioners and researchers in the decision sciences. We are examining how challenges in real-world problems can be better analyzed and studied using general quantum theory in the fields of cognition and decision making. For example, IT projects often fail and the decision support systems do not provide adequate support to avoid failure. Our project examines the development of a new quantitative method and system for actual project teams to apply that better defines the parameters associated with project failure. In this way, we can intercept these parameters before project failure occurs. This would save time and money, as well as prevent researcher bias by having an external researcher following around these project teams.
