The progressing digitalisation will have disruptive impacts on both the economy and society - speed and complexity of technological change will increase dramatically. These developments will challenge existing institutional frameworks including regulations and standardisation, which will have to be continuously adapted. Moreover, digitalisation drives the convergence of different technologies and even sectors and thus increases the need for new interfaces at various levels. As a result, more standards will be needed, especially at the international level. In addition, the increasing relevance of data protection and security will require an even better co-ordination between standardisation and regulation, which also faces problems of transnational harmonisation. In summary, these challenges driven by digitalisation require comprehensive analyses to adequately inform stakeholders active in standardisation, including standards setting organisations. EURAS 2017 solicits papers on the above theme. However, papers on other standardisation topics will also be considered. Nowadays computerized systems strive to provide personalized services to their users, from product recommendations, to education and personalized medicine tailoring online courses and healthcare services to the individual needs and preferences. An essential component to support personalization of services is a user model a representation of the user in the specific domain of interest, whether it is a recommendation about a product, a piece of content, a route to a destination or a medical treatment, all must take the user characteristics into consideration. Naturally, the user model needs to be adapted over time, as new information is acquired by the system and user behavior evolves. The need to continuously update the user model stems from the simple fact that new information about users becomes continuously available and that users change: their characteristics and preferences change over time they acquire new skills, gain experience, their tastes, preferences, goals change as well as their physical, psychological and physiological characteristics Therefore, there is a strong temporal aspect in user modelling and a need to research it further. The workshop aims at bringing together researchers and practitioners working in order to look at the challenges from the point of view of the temporal aspects in user modelling. All in all, the workshop will aim at attracting presentations of novel ideas for addressing these challenges and how to advance the current state of the art in this field. The traditional, widely used relational database management system (RDBMS), which is most successful in process-stable and transaction-rich environments, faces limitations in dealing with fuzzy data and agile processes. Nonrelational or Not Only SQL (NoSQL) databases, one of the most significant developments to affect the industry since RDBMSs, accommodate mountains of unstructured data, offer greater flexibility in design and implementation, and support less stable processes. Graph databases, a specialized NoSQL database, bring a novel dimension to traditional data management and are a timely addition to an organization's data arsenal. Dealing with defined nodes and their multiple relationships (labeled edges), the graph database is far more conducive to our ever-more interconnected world and meets the needs of the growing network science field. Equipped with new capabilities, graph databases are attracting considerable interest among researchers and industry, and open up new opportunities. This issue of IT Professional will explore several aspects of emerging graph databases and outline their applications and ongoing developments. We solicit articles on graph databases that discuss recent advances, research insights, novel applications, practical experiences and challenges, and future prospects. AMCIS 2017, Boston August 10-12, 2017 SIGGIS Minitrack on Locational Big Data and Analytics: Implications for the Sharing Economy The mini-track provides a research forum on varied aspects of GIS for business intelligence, location-based analytics, knowledge management, and spatial data management. In concert with the AMCIStheme of advancing MIS research, contributions related to location for the sharing economy are encouraged, e.g. firms such as Uber, Lyft, and Airbnb depend on enterprise-wide spatial software. Topics include locational aspects of the sharing economy, spatial big data, spatial decision support, spatial knowledge management, cloud-based GIS, spatial crowdsourcing, volunteered geographic information (VGI), spatial workforce development, managerial concerns, privacy, security, ethical aspects concerning the sharing economy, mobile location-based applications, location-based theory, and emerging areas of GIS and location analytics. They intend to provide researchers in focused areas the opportunity to present and discuss their work, as well as to offer a forum for interaction among a broader community of researchers. A Special Session or Workshop will consist of a group of papers in a sub-discipline of Computational Collective Intelligence related to the main topics of ICCCI 2017. The papers will be required to meet the same standards as ICCCI 2017 papers and will be published in the conference proceedings, in a bound volume by Springer in their Lecture Notes in Artificial Intelligence series. All the Special Sessions and Workshops will be centralized as tracks in the same conference submission and reviewing system (EasyChair) as the regular papers.
