Herausgeber des Schwerpunktheftes:
Prof. Dr. Jorge Marx Gómez (jorge.marx.gomez(a)uni-oldenburg.de)
Prof. Dr. Susanne Strahringer (susanne.strahringer(a)tu-dresden.de)
Prof. Dr. Frank Teuteberg (frank.teuteberg(a)uni-osnabrueck.de)
Termine:
Einreichung von Vorschlägen bis: 1. Dezember 2009
Abgabetermin fertiger Beiträge bis: 1. März 2010
Motivation:
darum geht in
BUIS
stellen eine
notwendige Voraussetzung für die erfolgreiche Etablierung eines
betrieblichen
Nachhaltigkeitsmanagement in Unternehmen dar.
-wegen in nachhaltigen
- Green IT/Green Computing
- Green Logistics/Green Supply Chains
- Sustainable Supply Chain Management
- Material- und Energieeffizienz
- Modellierung und Simulation umweltrelevanter Prozesse in nachhaltigen
Wertschöpfungsnetzwerken
- Emissionsmessung entlang von Produktlebenszyklen in
Wertschöpfungsnetzwerken (Product
Carbon Footprinting/Life Cycle Assessment)
- Konzepte und Methoden betrieblicher Umweltinformationssysteme (BUIS)
- BUIS der nächsten Generation (BUIS 2.0)
- Anwendung von Forschungsmethoden und Theorien der Wirtschaftsinformatik
auf Fragestellungen des Green Computing
- Entwicklung von Konzepten, Strategien, Standards, Referenz- sowie
Reifegradmodellen im Bereich Green Computing
- Entwicklung und Management serviceorientierter BUIS
- Betriebliches und strategisches Umweltinformationsmanagement
- Integration und Interoperabilität von BUIS und ERP-Systemen
- Produktmanagement von BUIS
- Internetbasierte Umweltinformations- und -genehmigungsverfahren

Social Computing Track
Theme
The relentless development of Internet technologies in recent years has
radically altered the landscape for human/social interaction.
Characterized by flexibility, user-friendliness and simplicity, Web
applications such as wikis, blogs, microblogs, video sharing platforms and
social networking sites offer rich, interactive user experiences that
facilitate community-based knowledge sharing and collaboration.
Previously, users visited static web pages and accessed institutional
content that mirrored print-based publications. Now, users are provided
with the tools and platforms to undertake their own collaborative content
creation and distribution.
With the Internet rapidly taking on the role of a global marketplace for
the exchange of ideas, experiences and knowledge, an interesting research
area has emerged: social computing. Social computing lies at the
intersection of social behavior and computing systems. It focuses on the
use of technology to create social conventions and contexts, as well as
the new relationships and power structures that result. Three
widely-agreed tenets of social computing are (i) the shift of innovation
from a top-down to a bottom-up model; (ii) the shift of value from
ownership to experiences; and (iii) the shift of power from institutions
to communities.
Social computing (also known as Web 2.0 and social media) has drawn much
interest in academia, the information technology industry and among
Internet users. This track at ITNG 2010 is therefore timely, and will
serve as a platform for those researching this area. Submissions may
include research, system, evaluation, policy and position papers. Topics
include, but are not limited to:
* Use of information communication technologies for social computing
* Mobile social computing
* Infrastructure and architectures for social computing
* Online communities and social networking
* Social tagging and collaborative information organization
* Information retrieval and sharing techniques
* Usability and user needs
* Applications and case studies in social computing
* Novel applications supporting user-generated content and social
interaction
* Social, institutional and policy issues in social computing
* Social computing in schools, enterprises and other organizations
* Collaboration and social computing
* Social computing trends and issues

IADIS INTERNATIONAL CONFERENCE
INFORMATION SYSTEMS 2010
March 18-20, 2010 Porto, Portugal
(http://www.is-conf.org/)
*************************************************************
* Conference background and goals
A new paradigm is sweeping the society, organisations and the business
environment. In fact, society and business world alike are moving from
its tangible bases to intangible ones based on knowledge and information
systems (IS) to support its management, use and sharing. In this emerging
paradigm, terms like information, communication, knowledge, and learning
have acquired a critical relevance to the understanding of the nature of
contemporary business. This led authors such as Drucker (1993) to state
that we are entering the knowledge society in which the basic economic
resource is knowledge.
In fact, since the mid-1980s, there has been a sudden avalanche of a new
kind of vocabulary. Corporations, which so far had been economic entities,
are being described as information-based organizations, learning
organizations, knowledge-creating companies or knowledge intensive
organisations. Instead of product-market strategies, the fashionable
business discourse invokes core competencies, intangible assets,
knowledge-based capabilities, intellectual capital, knowledge management
etc. Consequently, in this 21st century of ours, terms such as
intellectual capital, knowledge management, and knowledge mapping have
increasingly become part of the corporate landscape.
However, none of this apparent revolution would be possible without the
underlying technological support provided by IS. The IADIS Information
Systems Conference (IS 2010) aims to provide a forum for the discussion of
IS taking a socio-technological perspective. It aims to address the
issues related to design, development and use of IS in organisations from
a socio-technological perspective, as well as to discuss IS professional

IADIS INTERNATIONAL CONFERENCE MOBILE LEARNING 2010
Porto, Portugal, 19 to 21 March 2010
(http://www.mlearning-conf.org/)
* Conference background and goals
Mobile Learning, a Retrospective Outlook
Since its inauguration in 2005, the IADIS Mobile Learning conference
series has provided a forum to present, discuss and promote international
mobile learning research.
Past conference themes have focused on pedagogical approaches most suited
for mobile learning such as collaborative, contextual, and constructivist
which support data collection, context & location awareness and
distributed activities. In 2007 the conference aimed to harness an
international perspective on the big issues in mobile learning by
discussing topics such as the conflict between personal informal learning
and traditional classroom education, the evaluation of mobile learning and
appropriate methods for this setting, the design of mobile learning
activities and the integration of mobile devices in the broader
educational scenarios, among others. In 2008, our concern was to explore
various dimensions of the learners mobility for example, physical,
conceptual and social, to discern how these in conjunction with mobile and
fix technologies may support learning. Last year, the conference debated
the increasing phenomenon of user generated content, in particular mobile
media.
Five years on, the IADIS Mobile Learning 2010 International Conference
seeks to provide a forum for the presentation and discussion of mobile
learning research which provides a retrospective outlook of the field. We
seek contributions under the topics below which illustrate developments in
the field.

==================================================================
The ASHEs 2010 Workshop will be held in conjunction with
The International Conference on Complex, Intelligent and
Software Intensive Systems (CISIS 2010)
http://www.cisis-conference.eu/ and
The International Conference on Availability, Reliability
and Security (ARES 2010)
http://www.ares-conference.eu/
--------
Scope
--------
The increasing complexity of systems and applications that span heterogeneous
environments have brought to the fore the issue of the seamless access to
the resources that the Internet and other foundational systems are making available.
Resources can be generated or mediated by users, content, applications,
systems software, middleware, networks and distributed systems. They identify
different contexts of interaction where heterogeneity may occur. The dynamic
and non-deterministic nature of these environments requires the adoption of
decentralised models, policies and mechanisms in order to address issues of
complexity, interoperability and integration. In this context the ability
of systems to reconcile conflicting requirements and negotiate appropriate
behaviour to suit environmental conditions delineates a wide spectrum of adaptivity.
From basic configurability to autonomic behaviour adaptivity is inherently
a systemic issue.
In hypermedia systems the personalization of content through the generation and
interposition of implicit and explicit user profiles is underpinned
by adaptive principles. The mediation of scalability and
the marshalling of resources is another area where
heterogeneity is resolved. Appropriate modes of aggregation such as Web services
composition are increasingly supported by adaptive mechanisms and optimised
by schemes such asby load balancing. Reflective architectures
at middleware level have been proposed as
effective means for extending adaptively the span of systems and applications.
In wireless networks the handover operations are increasingly dependent on adaptive
methods, while the emergence of self-awareness in networks is enhancing their
capacity for self-management.
The demand for dependable systems and especially the provision of appropriate
levels of quality of service (QoS) are strong incentives
for the application of transparent adaptive techniques. Adaptivity is finding
its full expression in new domains such as smart environments
that pervasive and ubiquitous computing have ushered in. Context awareness in
particular is reinforcing the adaptive capacity of systems as they unfold across
environmental boundaries.
The aim of the special issue is to offer a perspective on adaptivity by gathering
original papers with a focus on the design, implementation, deployment and analysis
of adaptive systems. Areas of interest include but are not limited to:
- Personalization, self-configuration
- Hypermedia systems
- Virtualisation and Behaviour optimisation
- Architectural models and Frameworks
- Knowledge management, workflow management
- Resource brokering and Service provision
- Context-awareness, Location-based systems, Smart environments
- Model-driven engineering, Web engineering
- Middleware management,
- Network configuration and awareness
- Autonomic and dependable systems
- Agent-based systems
- Grid and Peer-to-Peer (P2P) systems
- Web and mobile applications
- e-business, e-government and e-learning applications
- Case studies and experiences of adaptive systems

Von: SOIC 2010 <soic(a)mail.2010iiisconferences.org>
An: <GUSTAF.NEUMANN(a)WU-WIEN.AC.AT>
Dear G. Neumann:
Call for Papers/Abstracts and Invited Sessions Proposals for The 6th International Conference on Social and Organizational Informatics and Cybernetics: SOIC 2010 (June 29th - July 2nd, 2010 Orlando, Florida, USA). http://www.2010iiisconferences.org/SOIC
Deadlines:
October 7th, 2009: Submission of draft papers (2000-5000), extended abstracts (400-2000) and abstracts for inter-disciplinary communication (200-600 words)
November 23th, 2009: Notifications of acceptance.
February 3rd, 2010: Submission of camera-ready or final versions of the accepted papers.
-------------------------------------------------------
All Submitted papers/abstracts will go through three reviewing processes: (1) double-blind (at least three reviewers), (2) non-blind, and (3) participative peer reviews. These three kinds of review will support the selection process of those papers/abstracts that will be accepted for their presentation at the conference, as well as those to be selected for their publication in JSCI Journal.
Pre-Conference and Post-conference Virtual sessions (via electronic forums) will be held for each session included in the conference program, so that sessions papers can be read before the conference, and authors presenting at the same session can interact during one week before and after the conference. Authors can also participate in peer-to-peer reviewing in virtual sessions.
Submissions for Face-to-Face or for Virtual Participation are both accepted. Both kinds of submissions will have the same reviewing process and the accepted papers will be included in the same proceedings.
Authors of accepted papers who registered in the conference can have access to the evaluations and possible feedback provided by the reviewers who recommended the acceptance of their papers/abstracts, so they can accordingly improve the final version of their papers. Non-registered authors will not have access to the reviews of their respective submissions.
Registration fees of an effective invited session organizer will be waived according to the policy described in the web page (click on 'Invited Session', then on 'Benefits for the Organizers of Invited Sessions'), where you can get information about the ten benefits for an invited session organizer. For Invited Sessions Proposals, please visit the conference web site, or directly to http://www.2010iiisconferences.org/soic/organizer.asp
Authors of the best 10%-20% of the papers presented at the conference (included those virtually presented) will be invited to adapt their papers for their publication in the Journal of Systemics, Cybernetics and Informatics.
Best regards,
Organizing Committee
