Subject: [AISWorld] Call for Book Chapters: Blockchain in Supply Chain
Digital Transformation - Abstract Deadline December 23rd
Date: Fri, 17 Dec 2021 07:55:55 +0000
From: Trevor Clohessy <Trevor.Clohessy(a)gmit.ie>
To: aisworld(a)lists.aisnet.org <aisworld(a)lists.aisnet.org>
CRC Press, Taylor and Francis Group:
Call for Book Chapters
|Blockchain in Supply Chain Digital Transformation|
Blockchain is assisting enterprises to digitally transform their supply
chain management (SCM) activities. Anecdotal evidence suggests that
blockchain and distributed ledger technologies (DLT) can lead to SCM
benefits such as supply chain visibility, operational efficiency, supply
chain traceability, supply chain resilience, and data security (Clohessy
and Clohessy, 2020). Empirical evidence pertaining to how blockchain and
DLT are achieving these benefits is scarce. Furthermore, it has been
proposed that blockchain and DLT could possibly limit the impacts of
global supply chain disruptions such as Covid19.
For this call for papers, we therefore invite chapters that describe how
blockchain and DLT can contribute to real-world supply chain digital
transformation. Ultimately, the goal of the book is to showcase use
cases (downstream, upstream) from a range of industries to demonstrate
the digital transformative capabilities of blockchain and DLT technologies.
Formatting:
All final submissions must have 5,000-10,000 words and follow the
template provided by the publisher. Submissions that do not follow the
publisher guidelines will be desk rejected and will not undergo a review.
Important Dates:
* Submission of an extended abstract (~ 500 words): before December
23rd, 2021
* Submission of the chapter: before March 31, 2022

Subject: [AISWorld] CfP Frontiers Research Topic on *Human Issues in
Recommender Systems*
Date: Tue, 7 Dec 2021 15:15:24 +0000
From: Bauer, C. (Christine) <c.bauer(a)uu.nl>
To: aisworld(a)lists.aisnet.org <aisworld(a)lists.aisnet.org>
------------------------------------------------------------------------
*Please forward to anyone who might be interested*
Apologies for cross-posting.
------------------------------------------------------------------------
In collaboration with Frontiers in Big Data’s special section in
Recommender Systems, we are bringing researchers together to contribute
to a Research Topic on:
*Human Issues in Recommender Systems*
Topic Editors:
* Dr. Bruce Ferwerda, Jönköping University, Jönköping, Sweden
* Dr. Christine Bauer, Utrecht University, Utrecht, The Netherlands
https://www.frontiersin.org/research-topics/23412/human-issues-in-recommend…
Submissions are ongoing with the final submission deadline for
manuscripts to be considered on 31 January 2022.
------------------------------------------------------------------------
Recommendation systems (or recommender systems) have become a pervasive
ingredient in our everyday lives. Such systems assist people to navigate
immense amounts of content. In doing so, recommenders help people find
and discover various types of content and goods, including movies,
music, books, food, or dating partners. When researching on, developing,
or employing recommender systems, we have a social responsibility to
care about the impact of their technology on individual people (this
includes the roles of users, providers, and other stakeholders) and on
society. This involves building, maintaining, evaluating, and studying
recommender systems that are fair, transparent, and beneficial to society.
It is a combination of many aspects that make a recommender system
successful. In this Research Topic, we zoom in on humans. The goal is to
better understand humans' perceptions, needs, and the impact that
recommender systems may have on humans. For instance, the call for fair
and transparent recommenders is increasingly getting stronger. But what
is fair? What is beneficial for society? And how can we achieve that?
Early research in the field of fair and transparent fair recommender
systems has been inspired by research in the machine learning domain,
where we can observe a particular focus on the algorithmic perspective.
With this Research Topic, we want to show the bigger picture of the
human issues, for instance, concerned with fair and transparent
recommender systems. Recommender systems have an impact on individual
people in the various roles they take (e.g., users, providers, and other
stakeholders) and on society. What is fair and transparent from various
perspectives? How can fairness and transparency be achieved? And how are
the resulting recommendations perceived?
We welcome original research papers addressing human issues in
recommenders, reporting research on theory and/or practice. The type of
research may include but is not limited to, explorative studies,
experiments, or methodological approaches studying human issues.
Topics of interest related to human issues include, but are not limited
to, the following:
* Perception and expectations of stakeholders (e.g., users, providers);
* Human factors (e.g., humans-in-the-loop);
* Humanistic theory (e.g., philosophical, moral, and ethical analysis);
* Real-world cases and applications;
* Algorithmic development, measurement, and evaluation (e.g., bias and
discrimination);
* Data (e.g., bias and discrimination).
For more information about the Research Topic, information on manuscript
preparation, and related matters, please see:
https://www.frontiersin.org/research-topics/23412/human-issues-in-recommend…
Although the deadline for submission of manuscripts to this Research
Topic is 31 January 2022, papers will be reviewed and published as they
are received. Submitting an abstract before submitting the manuscript is
encouraged but not required.
We are looking forward to your contribution to the Research Topic.
Sincerely yours,
Dr. Bruce Ferwerda

The Workshop on Requirements Engineering 2022 is now in its
twentieth-fifth edition (Silver Jubilee!). This series of workshops on
the area started in 1998 as a meeting of the Ibero-American requirements
engineering community. However, since then, it has attracted attention
from researchers and practitioners from other parts of the world. The
WER format promotes discussion and knowledge exchange between the
academy and industry members. As in the last editions, this one will
also feature invited lectures from well-known researchers and
practitioners and tutorials. This edition will introduce a track for
journal manuscript presentations. WER 2022 invites authors of papers on
the topics of interest of the conference and accepted in journals to
present their research at WER. This is an opportunity for the authors to
discuss their work in order to obtain feedback and improve their research.
TOPICS OF INTEREST
- Requirements elicitation, analysis, and documentation, management,
traceability, prioritization, validation, verification, and negotiation;
- Requirements engineering education and training;
- Requirements engineering for specific software development paradigms,
such as the agent-driven, aspect-driven, model-driven, or service-driven;
- Requirements engineering for specific fields, like safety-critical,
web-based, or mobile applications systems;
- Requirements engineering in agile methodologies;
- Requirements specification languages, methods, processes, and tools;
- Model-driven software engineering
- Regulatory compliance.
* The topics of interest are not exhaustive listed

MSc and PhD work.
The works will receive feedback from the Program Committee with
questions and suggestions about its content. The author should use these
comments in the preparation of the paper's final version. Selected works
must be presented by students during the MDT. On this occasion, they
will receive opinions and constructive criticism from a Guest Panel,
composed of researchers in the field of Requirements Engineering, as
well as the audience.
SOFTWARE REQUIREMENT TOOLS TRACK (WER-SRTT)
Submissions for the Software Requirements Tool track must include a
paper and a demo video with audio comments. The paper must have at most
