Candidates must submit a copy of their student ID with facial photo to the Program Chairs (after the paper notification). ** Journal Recommendation ** It is planned that Program Co-Chairs will recommend the authors of best papers to submit their full versions to either of "IEICE Trans. on Fundamentals, Special Section on Cryptography and Information Security" or "Journal of Information Processing, CSEC Special Issue" after consultation between Program Co-Chairs and the authors. ** Proceedings ** The conference proceedings will be published by Springer, in the Lecture Notes in Computer Science (LNCS) Series. All of the past IWSEC proceedings have been published in LNCS. ** Instruction for Authors ** All submitted papers must be original, unpublished, and not submitted in parallel to any other peer-reviewed conferences or journals. Submitted papers must be written in English and be fully anonymous with no author names, affiliations, acknowledgements, or obvious references. Authors should consult Springer's authors' guidelines and use their proceedings templates, either for LaTeX or for Word, for the preparation of their papers. Springer encourages authors to include their ORCIDs in their papers. In addition, the corresponding author of each paper, acting on behalf of all of the authors of that paper, must complete and sign a Consent-to-Publish form. The corresponding author signing the copyright form should match the corresponding author marked on the paper. Once the files have been sent to Springer, changes relating to the authorship of the papers cannot be made. Submitted papers may contain at most 16 pages excluding appendices and references, and at most 20 pages including appendices and references. The Abstract input to EasyChair should be less than 500 words. Note that according to the latest LNCS guideline, appendices are required to be placed before the references. Figures and tables with color can be included in papers. However, these materials will appear in black and white in the conference proceedings. Optionally, any amount of clearly marked supplementary materials may be supplied, following after the main body of the submitted paper; however, reviewers are not required to read or review them, and submissions should be intelligible without them. Supplementary materials are mostly intended for additional data such as experimental data or source code. Note that supplementary materials are not allowed to be included in the camera-ready version. Submissions are to be made via the submission website. Only PDF files will be accepted. Please choose track (A or B) when submitting. Submissions not meeting these guidelines may be rejected without consideration of their merit. Also, for more appropriate reviews, your paper may be reviewed on the other track than the track selected. For each accepted paper, at least one of the authors must register for the workshop before the due date of the camera-ready version and is also required to present the paper at the workshop. The title and the list of authors of the final version cannot be changed from the submitted version unless otherwise approved by the program co-chairs. Recently, 3D indoor mapping systems, terrestrial mobile mapping systems (MMS) and airborne LiDAR systems are capable of collecting terabytes of data (including images and point clouds) in a single scan or on a single trip. Existing approaches and tools lack the efficient management, processing and analysis of 3D spatial data. Many of these issues can be solved by using Artificial Intelligence and Deep Learning to redeﬁne the work ﬂow. This workshop focuses on the use of Artificial Intelligence and Deep Learning to improve the processing, management and analysis of 3D Big Spatial data. Such tasks are commonly related to user authentication, human interaction proofs (e.g., captcha), privacy and security pop-up dialogs, setting privacy and security features within online user profiles, etc. Recent privacy and security incidents of famous online services have once more underpinned the necessity towards further investigating and improving current approaches and practices related to the design of efficient and effective privacy and security. In order to achieve this objective, one possible direction is related to providing adaptive and personalized characteristics to privacy- and security-related user tasks, given the diversity of the user characteristics (like cultural, cognitive, age, habits), the technology (like standalone, mobile, mixed-virtual-augmented reality, wearables) and interaction contexts of use (like being on the move, social settings, spatial limitations). Hence, adaptive and personalized privacy and security implies the ability of an interactive system or service to support its end-users, who are engaged in privacy- and/or security-related tasks, based on user models which describe in a holistic way what constitutes the user's physical, technological and interaction context in which computation takes place. APPS 2020 aims to bring together researchers and practitioners working on diverse topics related to understanding and improving the usability of privacy and security software and systems, by applying user modeling, adaptation and personalization principles. Our special focus in 2020 will be on healthcare systems, more specifically on ensuring security and privacy of medical data in smart patient-centric healthcare systems. The workshop will address the following objectives: - increase our understanding and knowledge on supporting usable privacy and security interaction design through novel user modeling mechanisms and adaptive user interfaces; - discuss methods and techniques for understanding user attitudes and perceptions towards privacy and security issues in various application areas; - identify human-centered models for the design, development and evaluation of adaptive and personalized privacy and security systems; - discuss methods for evaluating the impact and added value of adaptation and personalization in privacy and security systems. Smart Environments are characterized by complex information exchanges between many intelligent devices, often based on IoT technology. Since Trust, Ethics and Information Quality have a high impact on the way data is exchanged, integrated, and shared, it creates new challenges and opportunities to explore how Trust, Ethics and Information Quality are interacted, measured and managed to create values to Smart Environments. As critical research aspects in Business Informatics, it can be detailed as how users perceive the information, how to handle the information, and how fitting the information for usage. Trust, Ethics and Quality of information are emerging issues in many scientific areas as well as in the industrial and the governmental areas. Information Trust, Ethics and Quality are gaining increasing relevance in the era of data analytics, as it is for example the case in IoT infrastructures where a large number of heterogeneous data sources needs to be considered. However, which data source can be trusted is related to the research of information provenance. Sometimes, the data source is deliberately edited such as fake news. Also, which data source can be used and how to use the information in an ethical way can be relevant to the invasion of personal information privacy. Further, Quality of information is not simply “correctness”, but covers dimensions like completeness, currency, interpretability, consistency, and many others, depending on the data consumers and the context where data is used. Following, the measurement and maintenance of Trust, Ethics and Quality of information is a non-trivial task, which needs to be tackled in order to guarantee qualitative data integration and analytics in smart environments. In this workshop, we aim to provide a platform for discussing approaches, models, results and case studies or experience reports addressing a broad range of issues related to Trust, Ethics and Quality of information. Research challenges include how to determine the Trust, Ethics and Quality of information and their impacts on business performance, capturing and maintaining Information Assets, and designing and improving Smart Environments. Papers can include and discuss various research methods and can be based on case studies, quantitative and quantitative methods, design science as well as experimental and simulation.
