Submission deadline: April 10, 2020 (AoE) (extended!)
RCIS 2020 features a new track entirely devoted to presenting results and
perspectives of research projects (e.g. H2020 or ERC projects, national
grants) in the context of Information Science. This track features a good
opportunity for both presenters to disseminate the results of their
projects,
and for participants to get an updated view of ongoing research while
getting in touch with potential research partners.
The Research Projects @RCIS Track follows a two-step publication process.
Firstly, the authors should submit a 2 pages paper summarizing the
objectives of the project and relevant results. Each submission will be peer
reviewed on the relevance of the submitted paper in the context of RCIS. If
the paper is accepted, the authors will have to register to the
conference in
order to present their work at the Posters and Demos session at RCIS. After
the conference, presenters will have the opportunity to submit the presented
poster, which will be published in the RCIS 2020 website. No shows will be
excluded from the final proceedings.
SUBMISSION PROCESS
Each submission will be reviewed by at least 2 members of the RCIS
scientific
committees, and should include:
· Project full name, acronym, duration (from-to) and URL
· Names of presenter(s) and main contributors
· Summary of project objectives and expected tangible outputs.
· Summary of current project results
Papers shall be formatted according to the Springer LNCS/LNBIP conference
proceedings template. To ensure uniformity, we have prepared ready-to-use
templates for Word and LaTeX which are available on the conference web
site. References and appendices must be included within the 2 pages. Papers
can be submitted via Easychair

by selecting the "Research Projects @RCIS 2020" track.

As per the official note from the ECSCW 2020 organisation

ECSCW 2020 is still planned to happen between 13^th and 17^th June in
Siegen, Germany. We are sensitive to the situation and are monitoring
it. Nevertheless, we believe and hope that the situation will be under
control by then, so that the conference can take place. Therefore, we
warmly invite submissions to our workshop. Should the conference be
cancelled, the workshop organisers will devise a sensible alternative
for the implementation of and participation in the workshop. We are keen
to make this happen and will find a safe and appropriate way to do so,

Workshop themes

This workshop addresses how community-based participatory research
(CBPR) can support unravelling needs of people with disability from a
socio-informatics perspective, so to develop a concept to sensitise
society to the relevance of investing in highly accessible solutions at
the workplace. Therefore, the workshop addresses issues of inclusion of
people with disability in the job market. It targets contributions
showing how different approaches have been used in current and past
accessibility research and aims at reflecting on the lessons learned
from it. In particular, it aims at generating an understanding of the
strengths and weaknesses of current approaches, so to inform how CBPR
can better support future accessibility research.
The workshop pays special attention to work contexts, seeking
contributions that demonstrate the relevance of CBPR on the design and
development of accessible digital solutions for the workplace.
Contributors may wish to address a range of issues, including, but not
restricted to:
* The adoption of CBPR to investigate and foster accessibility at the
workplace;
* The use of alternative methodologies to bring different stakeholders,
as for example, people with disability, companies, service providers,
researchers and policy makers together in changing organisational,
technological and personal circumstances;
* Methodological innovations in the study of accessibility at the workplace;
* Accounts of accessibility initiatives as emerging from novel spatial
and organisational contexts;
* The range of organisational aspects, motivational factors, personal
values and expectations underling the investment in accessible solutions
for the workplace;
* An examination of how we might identify those forces, contexts and
dynamics that hinder, resist or work against the momentum of
accessibility at the workplace;
* The role of assistive technologies in empowering people with
disability, but also in creating a potential range of problems/issues to
be dealt with;
* The role of accessible technology as discourse in socially, culturally
and ideologically shaping an ‘accessibility culture’;
* The technological, cultural, political and economic rationalities that
underpin and legitimise contemporary enactments of accessibility
research and foster the establishment of an accessibility culture;
* Explorations of what present and future accessibility culture might
look like, and of the challenges and issues we will be addressing for
the next ten years.
Interdisciplinary participation from people with and without disability,
companies, designers, developers, policy makers, sociologists,
psychologists, ethnographers, and other interested people is highly
appreciated. In this way, the workshop will provide an important
opportunity for different sectors of the society to share ideas and
possibly coordinate their efforts.
Types of contribution

Participants who wants to support fostering the workshop discussions
will be invited to contribute to the workshop with either posters
illustrating their ideas, samples of data collected during fieldwork, or
demos/prototypes developed as a result of their research and/or
development initiatives. These materials will be the main subject of the
discussion.
Workshop dynamics

During the workshop, conversations between the participants will be
facilitated by moving away from traditional presentations. Presentation
sessions will be followed by more focused short discussions on specific
questions/issues, and practical brainstorming exercises to highlight new
methodological directions concerning CBPR for accessibility research at
the workplace.

Participants interested in contributing with the workshop should send a
position paper (max 5 pages, including references) introducing the
material, ideas or artefacts they would like to address in the workshop.
The submission must contain a brief overview of the key ideas and
arguments of the contribution and some information on the occupational
background of the authors. Additionally, contributors can submit videos,
links or any other relevant artefacts of the system they would like to
demonstrate during the workshop.

Contributions will be reviewed by the workshop organisers and selected

Publication

Position papers accepted and presented in the workshop will be published
in the workshop proceedings, which will be edited by the workshop
organisers. The proceedings will include the final versions of all
accepted contributions, adjusted to satisfy reviewers’ recommendations.
It will be published as an issue of the International Reports of
Social-Informatics (IIRSI) series from the International Institute of
Socio-Informatics (IISI) in Bonn, Germany.

*MINITRACK DESCRIPTION*
In the field of information systems, as well as in the computer science
domain, artificial intelligence (AI) constitutes one of the most rapidly
growing streams of research. This is mainly due to the fact that
technological innovations enable the development of productive AI
solutions (e.g. inherent in cognitive assistants) that provide
compelling benefits in various fields of application.
However, despite the recent advances, we are still far away from a
strong or general AI comparable to a human intelligence, especially when
it comes to intelligence across certain domains or tasks. Therefore, the
importance of the engagement of humans into the decision process of AI
systems is widely acknowledged in research and practice. Although a
considerable amount of exploration regarding such Human-AI-Collaboration
has been conducted, the breadth and scope for dialogue and
experimentation needs to be broadened. This minitrack aims to provide a
place for such dialogue and support of a diverse community interested in
taking the challenge further.
While all submissions should consider aspects of collaboration – the
work of two or more knowledge sources (i.e. human and AI) towards a
common goal -, we welcome all papers that present research in this area,
independent of the centrality and strength of AI, the domain they
address, and the methodology they apply.
Topics to be discussed in this minitrack include (but are not limited
to) the following:
* Generalizable models, methodologies and theories to design and
facilitate Human-AI-Collaboration
* Exemplary use cases in various fields of application that refer to
o collaborative work practices, in which a human actor
collaborates with AI
o collaborative work practices, in which AI facilitates human
collaboration
* Boundaries and Challenges of Human-AI-Collaboration
* Approaches for a new division of labor (including hand-offs) in

The ACM Conference on Recommender Systems (RecSys 2020) is the premier
venue for research and applications of recommendation technologies. One
of our goals is to connect communities of researchers and practitioners
from both academia and industry in order to exchange ideas, discuss
problems, and share solutions.
Industry practitioners are invited to submit talk proposals to the
RecSys conference industry track. The industry track is focused on
challenges and practical solutions to significant real-world issues
faced by industry practitioners. We encourage submissions that describe
substantial real-world challenges and novel deployed systems that power
recommendations in commercial settings. All submissions will be reviewed
by the Industry chairs and the best proposals will be chosen based on
merit and contribution to the community.

SUBMISSION GUIDELINES

be submitted to PCS by 23:59, AoE (Anywhere on Earth) on May 11th, 2020.
There will be no extensions to the submission deadline.
Formatting. ACM is changing the archive format of its publications to
separate content from presentation in the new Digital Library, enhance
accessibility, and improve the flexibility and resiliency of our
publications. Following the new ACM publication workflow, all authors
should submit manuscripts for review in a single-column format. The
maximum length for industry talk proposals is 2 pages (excluding
references) in the new single-column format. Instructions for Word and
LaTeX authors are given below:
* Microsoft Word: Write your paper using the Submission Template (Review
Submission Format). Follow the embedded instructions to apply the
paragraph styles to your various text elements. The text is in
single-column format at this stage and no additional formatting is
required at this point.

of COVID-19, LNCS conference proceedings will be published.
** Instruction for Authors **
All submitted papers must be original, unpublished, and not submitted in
parallel to any other peer-reviewed conferences or journals. Submitted
papers must be written in English and be fully anonymous with no author
names, affiliations, acknowledgements, or obvious references.
Authors should consult Springer's authors' guidelines and use their
proceedings templates, either for LaTeX or for Word, for the preparation
of their papers. Springer encourages authors to include their ORCIDs in
their papers. In addition, the corresponding author of each paper,
acting on behalf of all of the authors of that paper, must complete and
sign a Consent-to-Publish form. The corresponding author signing the
copyright form should match the corresponding author marked on the
paper. Once the files have been sent to Springer, changes relating to
the authorship of the papers cannot be made.
Submitted papers may contain at most 16 pages excluding appendices and
references, and at most 20 pages including appendices and references.
The Abstract input to EasyChair should be less than 500 words. Note that
according to the latest LNCS guideline, appendices are required to be
placed before the references. Figures and tables with color can be
included in papers. However, these materials will appear in black and
white in the conference proceedings.
Optionally, any amount of clearly marked supplementary materials may be
supplied, following after the main body of the submitted paper; however,
reviewers are not required to read or review them, and submissions
should be intelligible without them. Supplementary materials are mostly
intended for additional data such as experimental data or source code.
Note that supplementary materials are not allowed to be included in the
camera-ready version.
Submissions are to be made via the submission website. Only PDF files
will be accepted. Please choose track (A or B) when submitting.

Privacy engineering research is emerging as an important topic.
Engineers are increasingly expected to build and maintain
privacy-preserving and data-protection compliant systems in different
ICT domains such as health, energy, transportation, social computing,
law enforcement, public services; based on different infrastructures
such as cloud, grid, or mobile computing and architectures. While there
is a consensus on the benefits of an engineering approach to privacy,
concrete proposals for models, methods, techniques, and tools that
support engineers and organizations in this endeavor are few and in need
of immediate attention.
To cover this gap, the topics of the International Workshop on Privacy
Engineering (IWPE20) focus on all the aspects surrounding privacy
engineering, ranging from its theoretical foundations, engineering
approaches, and support infrastructures, to its practical application in
projects of different scale. Specifically, we are seeking the following
kinds of papers: (1) technical papers that illustrate the engineering or
application of a novel formalism, method or other research finding
(e.g., a privacy-enhancing protocol) with preliminary evaluation; (2)
experience and practice papers that describe a case study, challenge or
lessons learned from in a specific domain; (3) early evaluations of
tools and other infrastructure that support engineering tasks in privacy
requirements, design, implementation, testing, etc.; (4)
interdisciplinary studies or critical reviews of existing privacy
engineering concepts, methods, tools, and frameworks; or (5) vision
papers that take a clear position informed by evidence-based on a
thorough literature review.
IWPE’20 welcomes papers that focus on novel solutions on the recent
developments in the general area of privacy engineering. Topics of

This topic list is not meant to be exhaustive as IWPE is interested in
all aspects of privacy engineering. However, to screen out off-topic

IWPE 2020 offers the choice of archival and non-archival paper

Index (CPCI-S), Scopus, etc. We are negotiating with a JCR-indexed
journal a special issue on privacy engineering, and the best papers will

Dear colleagues,
The International Workshop on Software Business has been postponed
together with XP 2020 conference. Therefore, also the submission
deadline has been postponed to May 1st. Please, consider submitting a
paper to the workshop to be held in Copenhagen together with XP 2020
conference.
CALL FOR PAPERS
Software producing organizations face the challenges of changing
demands, rapidly evolving technology, and a dynamic ecosystem in which
their products and services need to operate. The International Workshop
on Software-intensive Business: Unleashing the business potential of
Software (IWSiB) brings together communities working on
software-intensive business research and bridges the gap between
software engineering and business research. The workshop supports the
development of a research agenda for the emerging area of
software-intensive business, maps challenges and best practices in the
industry, and proposes new avenues for business-oriented software
engineering research and practice.
