1st International Workshop on Intelligent Data Analysis in Integrated Social CRM (iCRM 2016)
**********************************************************************
Submission deadline: May, 22, 2016
Integrated Social Customer Relationship Management (Social CRM) is an emerging concept that includes strategies, processes and technologies that bring together Social Media on the Web and CRM processes. However, transforming the large mass of data available on social media into value adding opportunities for companies remains challenging. Today, a variety of software applications based on Web and Text Mining techniques is used for this task. These are helpful for identifying relevant Social Media postings and for extracting basic information (e.g. number of "likes", occurrence of key words in postings, identification of simple sentiments), but they are insufficient for identifying more complex patterns, for example, semantic relationships between actors, profiles and postings from large, dispersed and unstructured databases. For instance, advanced techniques such as Semantic Business Intelligence (SBI) (e.g., semantic enrichment and disambiguation of social media data, data warehouses based on the semantic Web, semantic interoperability) or Computational Intelligence (CI) (e.g. artificial neural networks, Bayesian models, fuzzy systems and evolutionary computing) promise a great potential to improve the capabilities in knowledge discovery and may also enable new usage scenarios in Social CRM (e.g. impact simulation, network analysis, topic development, trend prediction) in various domains (e.g. tourism, banking, energy, public sector, publishing, health, logistics, education). The workshop aims to shed light on current research efforts targeting the development of innovative tools and methods for intelligent data analysis in Social CRM, resulting in new (integrated) processes and capabilities. The setup is interdisciplinary and invites researchers as well as professionals to contribute research papers, case studies or to present prototypes on relevant topics, both completed and ongoing. The workshop will take place in conjunction with the Annual Meeting of the German-Brazilian Partnerships for Social CRM and a tutorial on Data Analysis in Social CRM hosted by the Social CRM Research Center.

The March issue of The Journal of Strategic Information Systems (volume 25, number 1) is available at: http://www.sciencedirect.com/science/journal/09638687/25
In this issue, in addition to regular research articles, which provide further consideration of topics that we have previously covered knowledge sharing in inter-organizational contexts, and trust in IT acquisitions we include commentaries on theory appropriation in Information Systems research, in this instance, in relation to the use of Transaction Cost Economics in outsourcing research.
A response to one of the commentaries is provided by the authors of the original paper, and subsequent commentaries deal not only with this specific context but the appropriation of theory in IS research more generally.

***Full Paper Submission Deadline*** - May 10, 2016
Sponsored By:
IEEE Computer Society
Web Intelligence Consortium (WIC)
Association for Computing Machinery (ACM)
This year, the Web Intelligence (WI) conference is especially
dedicated to the celebration of the 60th anniversary of
Artificial Intelligence (AI). Aiming at creating computers and
computer software capacity of intelligent behaviour, throughout
the sixty years' journey many amusing achievements have been made,
including the recent AlphaGo, an intelligent computer program who
beat Lee Sedol, a 9-dan professional player in a five-game match of Go.
Such a task was considered an impossible mission if looking back in
just a decade ago. As we enter the big data era, Web Intelligence has
extended and made use of artificial intelligence for new products,
services and frameworks that are empowered by the World Wide Web.
As a part of the celebration to the sixty years of AI, WI'16 will
be co-located with Brain Informatics & Health (BIH) 2016, and proudly
host two Turing Award laureates, Dr. Leslie Valiant (Turing Award
2010) and Dr. Butler Lampson (Turing Award 1992) as keynote speakers,
as well as two distinguished brain scientists, Dr. Stephen Smith and
Dr. Ivan Soltesz as the BIH keynote speakers, for the community to
share with their intelligent, wisdom minds. We also will organize
a panel on Connecting Network and Brain with Big Data and invite
keynote/feature speakers of the 2 conferences as panelists.

Recent reports show that more and more companies adopt social media to
support knowledge management (KM). These companies experience
considerable changes in the way they communicate and collaborate
internally once they have implemented related technologies and
platforms. In addition, the challenges of the digital age make
transforming underlying work practices and organizational structures
more urgent. While the organizational capacity to deal with social media
is maturing, we are far from embracing those changes on knowledge
practices. A number of questions is to be addressed: What does the
emergence of social and related mobile media mean for KM initiatives in
companies? Do they have to and how do they rethink their processes and
strategies? What are the timely relevant research fields for academia?
Which of our established KM models do still hold, where do we need new
models or frameworks? This minitrack calls for contributions that take
KM one step further in the light of these contexts.
Topics include but are not limited to:
* Exploring existent theories to understand social and mobile media
related KM and work place phenomena
* Appropriation and use of social and mobile media upon individual
users, groups, businesses, and governments for KM
* Role of social and mobile collaboration in digital transformation and
KM strategies
* Changing organizational cultures and structures through social and
mobile media
* Social media and KM performance
* Sociomateriality and ontological issues
* New leadership paradigms in knowledge practices and in connected
workforce environments
* Risks and challenges of social and mobile media for knowledge
practices, e.g. information overload, technostress, and protection of
information assets
* Value and risks of analytics through the social and mobile
technologies enabled “digital footprint” of the organization
* New developments in knowledge and work practices, e.g. adaptive mix

re-submitted and will receive review notifications on 15 April).
Changsha, the capital of Hunan Province, is a historic and cultural city
in southern China and a busy port on the Xiangjiang River, with a
population over 6 million. Founded over 3000 years ago, the city became
the capital of the Zhou state (951-960 AD) and a leading commercial
center during the Song dynasty (960-1279 AD). Changsha International
Airport is easily accessible with direct flights to all major domestic
and some international destinations. Other famous tourist destinations
in Hunan include the Zhangjiajie National Park (natural heritage listed
by the UN) and Fenghuang (Phoenix) Ancient City.
As with the past ICNC-FSKD conferences, all papers in conference
proceedings will be submitted to both EI Compendex and ISTP (ISI
Proceedings), as well as IEEE Xplore(*all previous ICNC-FSKD conferences
from 2005 to 2014 have been indexed in Ei Compendex*). *Extended
versions of selected best papers will appear in SCIE-indexed
international journals, such as /Swarm and Evolutionary Computation/
