Online education is gaining its momentum in America’s higher education. Statistics show that around 20% of undergraduate students were enrolled in more than one online class in 2008. Online education has many advantages over traditional education, the most obvious being accessibility and affordability. With advanced information technologies, students can overcome barriers of time, location, and disability. In addition, traditionally underserved population, such as adult, married with children, with full time job, can afford the higher education opportunities. Despite its promise, online education has many intrinsic and/or extrinsic problems as well.
