The EDEN 2020 Annual Virtual Conference will be held 21-24 June, hosted by Politehnica University, Timisoara, Romania.
In view of the global events impacting all, the Conference Call for Contributions https://eden-online.us9.list-manage.com/track/click?u=d513a442748b7ef82571e9bbb&id=2d6e82f000&e=6610be86c2 remains open throughout May. Full papers will be introduced by video or narration supplemented presentation platforms. Workshops will be customized for a virtual audience.
The Conference Schedule will include the widely acclaimed, traditional sections such as Plenary sessions, Oxford debate, Workshop sessions, Synergy brainstorming, and the PhD Symposium. The sessions of the Conference will be presented via online platform, enabling interactive engagement of presenters and attendees.

Conference fees are kept reasonably low and young scholars can apply for waived fees.
*EDEN aims to ensure the enhanced academic quality of the event* by publishing the double-blind peer reviewed papers in the electronic Conference Proceedings with ISSN, discovered and linked by Google and Google Scholar, Alma (ProQuest), EBSCO Discovery Services (EDS), with further indexing via the Central and Eastern European Online Library (CEEOL). We look forward to the continued support by all participants to ensure the success of the EDEN 2020 Annual Virtual Conference, also in the hope of seeing each other face to face on the EDEN Research Workshop in Lisbon in October.

EDEN NAP Steering Committee members elected

We are pleased to announce that the new EDEN Network of Academics and Professionals Steering Committee has been confirmed from May 2020 for a three-year period. Every three years, the NAP membership elects members of the Steering Committee to foster the EDEN NAP activities.

Free Micro Course: Master the Basics of OER and Creative Commons in a Digital Age

ICDE has partnered with the OERu and the Commonwealth of Learning (COL) to provide free access to an online micro-course on Open education, copyright, and open licensing in a digital world (LiDA103).
Commencing on 6 May 2020, the UNESCO / ICDE Chair in Open Educational Resources (OER) in New Zealand will facilitate a cohort offering of LiDA103 over two weeks. This professional development opportunity is open for all educators. Call for participation: EUA Survey on digitally enhanced learning and teaching
------------------------------------------------------------------------
Due to the coronavirus crisis, universities have come under sudden pressure to shift to digitally enhanced teaching and online learning. While this is a temporary measure in an emergency situation, the topic will continue, and is likely to play an even more prominent role than before the crisis.

The survey was planned long before the coronavirus crisis started, but it also includes some questions on how higher education institutions are adapting to the changed situation. The survey is open to all European higher education institutions through 4 June 2020.
