Neither the technical aspects nor the : components, nor the communication network itself are at the centre of : interest for generating future wealth or will contribute primarily to the : competitiveness of companies and of nations. A presence anywhere, anytime, : with any good will be the driving force for develop-ment. The key component : to these questions will be the reduction in cost of transactions and the : presence on global markets. To exploit this opportunity the present : communication systems, namely the Internet, will have to give answers to : questions that are presently guaranteed either by governments or by law and : customs. Centralised security will be substituted by decentralised : security.
