The international Trends in Enterprise Architecture Research (TEAR)
workshop series brings together Enterprise Architecture (EA) researchers
from different research communities and provides a forum to present EA
research results and to discuss future EA research directions.
By adopting a holistic, multi-disciplinary stance to an enterprise the
EA field significantly contributes to an enterprises’ need to adapt
increasingly fast to changing customer requirements and business goals.
In particular, EA covers the entire “business-to-IT stack” of an
enterprise by explicitly incorporating business-related artifacts in
addition to conventional IS/IT artifacts. This is in contrast to
conventional architecture management approaches such as IT architecture,
software architecture, or IS architecture, which often focus on one (IT
centric) aspect only. For example, the introduction of a new product or
service may involve a conjoint change of both business processes (for
its production, sales, and aftersales) and IT infrastructure.
More information, including on previous iterations, can be found on the
dedicated TEAR website: https://tear-series.org/.
-----------------------------Submission Guidelines------------------------
For the 17^th TEAR workshop we invite submissions (1) reporting on
original research results, i.e., submissions that have not been accepted
or submitted for publication elsewhere, and (2) which are related to EA,
as per the list of topics. We invite three types of submission:
-Regular research papers. These papers will be reviewed based on their
scientific and technical contribution, originality, and relevance.
-Emergent research papers. These papers involve novel research ideas and
challenges (e.g., by doctoral students, practitioners, or senior
researchers) related to EA.
-Experience reports. These papers reflect practical and personal
industry experiences of EA practitioners, including EA related
challenges seen and the approach(es) taken. These papers are advised to
follow the STARR template (Situation, Tasks, Actions, Results, and
Reflection).
It is planned for the workshop papers to be published in a second volume
of the EDOC 2022 conference proceedings with Springer. Moreover, a
topical special section on Trends in Enterprise Architecture Research
has been established within the well-regarded Software and Systems
Modeling (SoSyM) journal. Selected best papers of TEAR 2022 will be
invited to this special issue. Note that acceptance for the special
issue is contingent on another round of reviews of the extended paper.
All papers must be prepared in accordance with the Springer Lecture
Notes in Business Information Processing (LNBIP) format. We accept
papers with a length between ten (10) and fifteen (15) pages (all
inclusive). Papers need to be submitted electronically (in PDF) via the
EasyChair submission website at:
https://easychair.org/conferences/?conf=tear2022 .
All submissions should include title, authors, and full contact
information. Detailed instructions for authors are available on the
Springer LNBIP website: https://www.springer.com/series/7911 .
-----------------------List of Topics---------------------
Topics relevant for submissions include, but are not limited to, the
following:
-Digital transformation – Consequences for EA (or the role of EA in)
digital transformation, including e.g., migration to data stream
architectures, Big Data, IoT, etc.
-Enterprise architecture modeling and analysis – Including modeling
languages, model-based analysis and analytics, reference models,
viewpoints, human-model interaction, EA and AI etc.

CALL FOR PAPERS
Hawaii International Conference on System Sciences (HICSS-56), Maui,
Hawaii, January 3-6, 2023
http://www.hicss.org/
Minitrack: Value, Success, And Performance Measurements Of Knowledge,
Innovation, And Entrepreneurial Systems
Track: Knowledge, Innovation, and Entrepreneurial Systems Track
Research into knowledge systems, knowledge management (KM), organizational
memories, and organizational learning has been affected by investigations
such as implementation aspects, system developments, or knowledge flows
during a number of years. Therefore, a high maturity level of KM research
has been achieved. However, organizational knowledge/KM initiatives are
more and more faced with budget cuts and justification demands due to
intense competition in today’s business environments. The influences of the
rapid pace of globalization and of the ongoing liberalization of national
and international markets lead to the emergence of increased pressure on
existing companies. Project managers of knowledge/KM initiatives like Chief
Knowledge Officers need to justify their budgets and, thus, are in need of
qualitative and quantitative evidence of the initiatives’ success. In
addition, ROI calculations and traditional accounting approaches do not
tell an adequate story when proposing knowledge-based initiatives.
This minitrack explores research into strategies, methodologies, and
stories that relate to measuring this success. In addition, this minitrack
will be used to explore the bodies of performance measurements that define
the current state of research in measuring knowledge system, KM,
organizational memory, and organizational learning success. Eventually,
another purpose of this minitrack is to present research on how to value
knowledge-based initiatives. Possible topics include:
· Frameworks and models for assessing knowledge systems, knowledge
management, and/or organizational memory systems
· Methodologies and processes for measuring knowledge systems,
knowledge management and/or organizational memory success and performance
· Impact of knowledge use, knowledge management strategy,
organization, systems, culture, and other issues on knowledge

CALL FOR PAPERS

Knowledge, Innovation, and Entrepreneurial Systems Track
For most of us, 2020-21 were years like no other. Work, school, and
society as we knew it was turned upside down and we all had to learn to
work, study, and socialize in new ways. Many of us worked and studied and
even socialized from home. We found that the systems we were used to using
weren’t sufficient; applications such as Zoom, YouTube, TikTok, and
Facebook played even larger roles in all aspects of our lives.
Knowledge Innovation and Entrepreneurial Systems focuses on the evolving
nature of work and society. Competitive, political, and cultural pressures
are forcing organizations to do more with less and to leverage all they
know to succeed. Knowledge, innovation, and entrepreneurial systems are the
systems we’re developing to facilitate collaboration, socialization, and
work to improve knowledge capture, storage, transfer and flow. The use of
knowledge and the systems that support it fosters creativity and innovation
while providing the infrastructure of organizational learning and
continuous improvement. This track explores the many factors that influence
the development, adoption, use, and success of knowledge, innovation, and
entrepreneurial systems. These factors include culture, measurement,
governance and management, storage and communication technologies, process
modeling and development. The track also looks at the societal drivers for
knowledge systems including an aging work force, a remote work force and
its need to distribute knowledge and encourage collaboration in widely
dispersed organizations and societies, and competitive forces requiring
organizations of all types to adapt and change rapidly. Increasingly, these
systems rely on systems and associated analytics to support knowledge
assets. Finally, the track addresses issues that impact society in the use
of these systems in what is now called the “new norm.” These issues include
disinformation and forgetting, social identity, social justice, remote
socialization, resource allocation, and decision making, including
automated, augmented, artificial, and human based decision making. Papers
are invited that address any of these issues through the following
minitracks:

Joint Workshop on Interfaces and Human Decision Making for Recommender
Systems
IntRS'22: https://intrs2022.wordpress.com
Held in conjunction with the ACM Conference on Recommender Systems
(RecSys 2022)
Seattle, WA, USA, 18th-23th September 2022.
Submission deadline: August 5th, 2022
Author notification: August 27th, 2022
Camera-ready version: September 10th, 2022
Submission site
---------------
https://easychair.org/conferences/?conf=intrs2022
Recommender systems are developed to help users in finding items that
match their interests, needs, and preferences. Since the emergence of
recommender systems, the majority of research in this area focused on
improving predictive accuracy of recommendation. Much less attention has
been paid to how users interact with the system and the efficacy of
interface designs from users' perspectives. The field has reached a
point where it is necessary to look beyond algorithms, into users'
interactions, decision making processes, and overall end user experience.
The IntRS workshop series focuses on the 'human side' of recommender
systems. Its goal is to integrate modern HCI approaches and theories of
human decision making into the construction of recommender systems. It
focuses particularly on the impact of interfaces on decision support and
overall satisfaction. IntRS workshops have been previously held at
RecSys 2014, 2015, 2016, 2017, 2018, 2019, 2020 and 2021. Despite the
long history, its popularity is increasing in terms of number of
submissions, participation and interest by the research community.
The aim of the IntRS'22 workshop is to bring together researchers and
practitioners exploring the topics of designing and evaluating novel
intelligent interfaces for recommender systems in order to: (1) share
research and techniques, including new design technologies and
evaluation methodologies, (2) identify next key challenges in the area,
and (3) identify emerging topics.
This workshop aims at establishing an interdisciplinary community with a
focus on the interface design issues for recommender systems and
promoting the collaboration opportunities between researchers and
practitioners. We particularly encourage demos and mock-ups of systems
to be used as a basis of a lively and interactive discussion in the
workshop. In our opinion, the workshop will complement the technical
aspects mainly discussed at the Conference with specific topics related
to cognitive modeling and decision making.
Topics of interests include, but are not limited to:
o User Interfaces
- Visual interfaces for recommender systems
- Explanation interfaces for recommender systems
- Ethical issues (Fairness and Biases) in explainable interfaces
- Collaborative multi-user interfaces (e.g., for group decision making)
- Spoken and natural language interfaces
- Trust-aware interfaces
- Social interfaces
- Context-aware interfaces
- Ubiquitous and mobile interfaces
- Conversational interfaces
- Example- and demonstration-based interfaces
- New approaches to designing interfaces for recommender systems
- User interfaces for decision making (e.g., decision strategies and
user ratings)
o Interaction, user modeling, and decision-making
- Cognitive Modeling for recommender systems
- Explainability of decision making models
- User-adaptive XAI systems
- Human-recommender interaction
- Controllability, transparency, and scrutability
- Decision theories and biases (e.g., priming, framing, and decoy effects)
- Detection and avoidance/mitigation of decision biases (e.g., in item
presentations)
- Preference detection (e.g., eye tracking for automated preference
detection)
- The role of emotions in recommender systems (e.g., emotion-aware
recommendation)

About the conference
---------------------------
Software-intensive systems are complicated, driven by the need to
integrate across multiple concerns. Consequently, the development of
such systems requires the integration of different concerns and skills.
These concerns can be covered by different domain-specific modeling
languages, with specific concepts, technologies, and abstraction levels.
This multiplication of languages eases the development related to each
individual specific concern but raises language and technology
integration problems at the different stages of the software life cycle.
To reason about the global system as a whole, it is necessary to
explicitly describe the different kinds of relationships that exist
between the different languages used in its development. To support
effective language integration, there is a pressing need to reify and
classify these relationships, as well as the language interactions that
the relationships enable. Equally, the proliferation of domain-specific
modeling languages required increases the need for effective and
efficient techniques for engineering languages and their support
infrastructures (transformations, analysis tools, editors, execution
infrastructure, debuggers, …).
The Modeling Language Engineering (MLE) workshop aims at bringing
together researchers and practitioners working on modeling-language and
software-language engineering. It is a meeting opportunity for Software
Language Engineering (SLE) enthusiasts within the software-modeling
community.
---------------------------
Topics
---------------------------
The topics of interest for MLE 2022 include:
- Methodologies, languages, techniques, and methods for designing and
implementing modeling languages
- Composition, extension, and reuse of modeling languages and model
execution tools
- Heterogeneous modeling, simulation, and execution
- Customization of modeling languages
- Integration of modeling languages and programming languages
- Semantics-aware model transformations and code generation
- Scalability of model execution and execution-based model analysis
- Execution of partial and underspecified models
- Model execution in the presence of non-determinism and concurrency
- Tracing model executions and analyzing model execution traces
- Model execution tools for the (dynamic) validation, verification, and
testing of systems (e.g., model animation, debugging, simulation, trace
exploration, model checking, symbolic execution)
- Live modeling and exploratory modeling techniques
- Automation techniques for the development of modeling and model
execution tools
- Evolution in the context of executable modeling (e.g.} evolution of
executable modeling languages, execution semantics, executable models,
model execution tools)
- Verification of semantic conformance (e.g., among executable modeling
languages, executable models, model execution tools)
- Integration challenges for languages, from requirements to design, for
analysis and simulation, during runtime, etc.
- Case studies and experience reports on the successful or failed
adoption of modeling in different application domains and application
contexts
- Surveys and benchmarks of different approaches for the development of
modeling languages, model execution, and execution-based model analysis
Submissions describing practical and industrial experience related to
the use of modeling languages are also encouraged, particularly in the
following application domains:
Cyber-Physical Systems, Smart Manufacturing, Industry 4.0; Internet of
Services, Internet of Things; Smart City, Smart Building, Home
automation; Smart and Learning systems.
---------------------------
Workshop Format
---------------------------
This full-day workshop will prioritize discussions over presentations.
We plan to open with a keynote in the morning, followed by paper
presentations. The afternoon will then be spent primarily in discussions
inspired by topics raised by the keynotes and paper presentations. Where
there is sufficient divergence in the topics raised, we will create
break-out groups of participants interested in each sub-topic. The goal
of these discussions is to identify commonalities and connections
between different topics, support research networking,
cross-pollination, and informal knowledge transfer. The final session of
the workshop will be focused on summarising the key topics and ideas
discussed at the workshop to help identify the next steps that may be
followed up by workshop participants.
---------------------------
Submission and Publication
---------------------------
We expect early research results about the aforementioned topics,
descriptions of problems, case studies, experience reports, or solutions
related to the topics of interest.
Each contribution must be described in a short paper of 5 pages or a
full paper of 10 pages, in ACM format (acmart). Two more pages
containing only references are permitted.
Papers that describe use cases or novel approaches can be accompanied by
concrete artifacts, such as models (requirements, design, analysis,
transformation, composition, etc.), stored in a public repository.
Artifacts should illustrate any experience with the conjoint use of
different modeling languages.
All submissions have to follow the ACM format (acmart) and must be
submitted electronically in PDF format [via
Easychair](https://easychair.org/my/conference?conf=mle2022). They will

about security aspects and ways of user-manipulation tactics are the
last line of defense against cyber-attacks. However, studies show users
are also seen as the weakest link in information security. Therefore,
they are also the primary target of attackers.
In addition to the traditional forms of user-computer-interactions in
the form of mouse-keyboard-input-devices, new ways of
system-interactions, e.g., physiological data from fitness-trackers,
eye-tracking devices or even pupillary responses indicating
cognitive-load-levels, are increasingly feasible as everyday
HCI-components. With the interest in data privacy increasing, are users
aware how valuable those personal input data is and how do they value
data privacy measures?
Therefore, we have identified two main aspects relevant to researchers
within the domain of Software Technology: 1) how to securely deal with
input data (also focusing on privacy aspects) 2) how this data can be
utilized in order to increase secure behavior or to raise awareness
among users (help the users to make better security-related decisions)
In this minitrack we seek papers that explore concepts, prototypes and
evaluations of how users interact with information systems and what
implications these interactions have for information security and
privacy. Further, we welcome new and innovative ways of
human-computer-interaction and security-related concepts currently
examined in the field. Topics of interest include but are not limited to:

Subject: [AISWorld] CfP 15th Workshop on Social and Human Aspects of
Business Process Management (BPMS2’22)
Date: Wed, 1 Jun 2022 14:23:37 +0000
From: Rainer Schmidt <Rainer.Schmidt(a)live.com>

The 15th Workshop on Social and Human Aspects of Business Process
Management (BPMS2’22)
As part of BPM 2022
20th International Conference on Business Process Management
September 13, 2022, Münster, Germany
Call for Papers
Deadline for workshop paper submissions: June 5, 2022
Workshop Theme
The involvement of human aspects into Business Process Management takes
place both on a social and
individual level. Social information systems [1] such as social media,
Enterprise 2.0, and social platforms
are spreading quickly in society, organizations, and economics.
Enterprises use social information
systems to improve their business processes and create new business
models. The integration of
business process management and social information systems becomes more
and more widespread.
New approaches for using social information systems with business
process management
appear frequently.
Social information systems are used both in external and internal
business processes. Companies can co-create products and services, e.g.,
companies integrate customers into product development to capture
ideas and features. Thus, communication with the customer is
increasingly bidirectional. The integration
of business process management and social information systems enables
the creation of new business
models using social platforms. Social platforms enable the creation of
cross-side network effects and
therefore called two- or multi-sided markets [2] Prominent examples are
TripAdvisor, UBER, and AirBnB.
By using the value-creating mechanisms of social information systems,
business models became
possible, which were not realizable before. E.g., the AirBnB uses a
crowdsourcing model for quality
control by using users’ reviews of apartments. In this way, a quality
assessment of products and services
became possible that was too costly so far.
Social information systems also create new possibilities to enhance
internal business processes by
improving the exchange of knowledge and information, to speed up
decisions, etc. Social information
systems enable value-creating interactions such as weak ties, social
production, egalitarianism. These
value-creating interactions open new possibilities and potentials for
the design of processes. Weak ties
enable the flexible integration of process participants, social
production paves the way for the bottom-up definition of business
processes, and egalitarian decisions change how decisions are made in
business
processes. The use of value-creating interactions is tightly intertwined
with new forms of involvement of
human beings into business process management.
Human aspects complement the social perspective on business process
management. The fact that more
and more enterprises are using business process management implies that
the human individual is
involved in a multitude of business processes. Individuals must cope
with multiple process contexts and
thus, must administer data appropriately. It is necessary to reflect on
Human-Human interactions and
responsibility, in a virtual/digital environment where everything
becomes information. Digital assistants
such as Alexa integrate individuals in processes that could not interact
with conventional computers. In
this way, new forms of interaction between processes and humans arise.
Furthermore, individuals must
integrate the external business processes into their work environment or
even to couple several external
business processes. Human aspects of business process management relate
to the individual who
creates a process model, to the communication among people, during and
after the process execution,
and to the social process of collaborative modeling. They also relate to
the interaction / collaboration /
coordination / cooperation that should be implemented in the business
process or to specific human-related aspects of the business process
itself and their representations in models.
Before this background, the goal of the workshop is to explore how
social information systems integrate
with business process management, and how business process management
may profit from this
integration. Furthermore, the workshop investigates the human aspects
introduced into Business
Process Management by involving human actors. Examples are the use of
crowdsourced knowledge and
tasks, the need for new user interfaces, e.g., augmented reality and
voice bots.
The workshop will discuss three topics. Social Business Process
Management, Social Business and
Platforms, and Human Aspects of Business Process Management. Social
Business Process Management
is the use of Social information systems to support one or multiple
phases of the business process life
cycle.
