Thus cloud and IoT are the main complementary aspects of the future Internet. IoT can benefit from the unlimited capabilities and resources of cloud computing. Similarly, cloud can benefit from IoT by extending its scope to deal with real world things in a more distributed and dynamic manner. The theme of this conference is to promote the state of the art in scientific and practical research of the IoT and cloud computing. Within the last five years, mobile multimedia has become the accepted standard, driven by developments in end-user devices, radio networks, and backend services. However, many open research questions remain open, from limited battery life to heterogeneous data types, increases in quality of service, context-aware adaptation to the environment, or the ever-present security and privacy issues. MoMM2018 is the 16th edition in the series of the highly successful International Conference on Advances in Mobile Computing and Multimedia. Recently, MoMM has been held in Salzburg (2017), Singapore (2016), Brussels (2015), Kaohsiung (2014), Vienna (2013), Bali (2012), Ho Chi Minh City (2011), Paris (2010), Kuala Lumpur (2009), and Linz (2008). This year, Yogyakarta, Indonesia will host MoMM2018. The MoMM conference series has provided opportunities to researchers, graduate students, and industry practitioners to address recent research results and current industry practices in the area of mobile computing and multimedia. **** Submissions ***** We invite three types of submissions: Full Technical Papers, Short Position Papers, and Demonstrations. - A Full Paper should provide solid conceptual and theoretical foundation and substantial support for its results and conclusions as a significant contribution to the field. - A Position Paper is not expected to be theoretically or empirically thorough, but represents an earlier stage of work. Submitted papers must not substantially overlap with papers that have been published or that are simultaneously submitted to a journal, conference, or workshop with proceedings. Submitted demonstrations should convey a scientific result and should not be advertisements for commercial software packages. Submitted papers and demonstrations will be subject to stringent peer review by at least three members of the international program committee and carefully evaluated based on originality, significance, technical soundness, and clarity of exposition. Accepted papers and demonstration descriptions will appear in the conference proceedings to be published by ACM. Therefore, not only different research topics are addressed, but also different research methods are employed that require different evaluation criteria in the peer reviewing process. To accommodate for this diversity, the BPM conference introduces a new structure. This structure is based on three tracks that cover not only different phenomena of interest and research methods but, consequently, also different evaluation criteria. To implement this structure, each track has a dedicated track chair and a dedicated program committee. The track chairs, together with a consolidation chair, are responsible for the scientific program. Through this new structure we aim to broaden the BPM community and position the BPM conference as a forum for all aspects of the broad business process management discipline. TRACK I: FOUNDATIONS Track I invites papers that follow computer science research methods. This includes papers that investigate the underlying principles of BPM systems, computational theories, algorithms, and methods for modeling and analyzing business processes. This track also covers papers on novel languages, architectures, and other concepts underlying process aware information systems, as well as papers that use conceptual modeling techniques to investigate problems in the design and analysis of BPM systems. Papers in Track I are evaluated according to computer science standards, including sound formalization, convincing argumentation, and, where applicable, proof of concept implementation, which shows that the concepts can be implemented as described. Since papers typically do not have an immediate application in concrete business environments, empirical evaluation does not play a major role in Track I. The DC offers Ph.D. students the opportunity to engage with other doctoral students and to receive feedback from experienced reviewers and scholars. Design Science Research in IT is a challenging and rapidly developing area of research where the exchange of ideas and discussion of concepts, directly with other researchers, is an effective way of gaining new insights and identifying opportunities for possible collaborations. The doctoral consortium will enable second year doctoral students to present and reflect on their work and receive feedback from a panel of experts. Submissions should clearly state: * the background to the research * the specific problem the research is intended to address * the DSR methodological approach adopted * describe the artifact * a description of work done to date * the contribution or expected contribution * intended future work * specific issues related to doctoral research that you would like to discuss at the consortium Submission and Review Process Your submission must not exceed 4 pages, 8.5 x 11 in sheet with 1 in margin, 12 point Times New Roman font.
