--- New Orleans, Aug 16-18, 2018 - https://amcis2018.aisnet.org
<https://amcis2018.aisnet.org> ---
Conference Theme: Digital Disruption
Track: Organisational Transformation & Information Systems (SIG-OSRA)
Minitrack: Organizational Transformation by Scaling and Extending the Use
of Agile Methods
While agile methods have been widely adopted in software development
projects in the past, organizations today scale the use of agile methods
to larger settings (scaling agile) and extent their use to other parts
of the enterprise. The broader use of agile methods leads to intensive
organizational change activities that aim at improving agility as a core
discipline of the digital enterprise. The transformation has an impact
on all levels of the organization including the individual, the
end-user, and the customer. Other non-IT functions get increasingly in
touch with agile principles and practices. While enterprises are
experimenting with the extended use of the agile way of working,
research has mainly analyzed the ongoing change from a software
development perspective. For this minitrack, we seek to attract research
contributions that extend existing research by focusing on
socio-technical, organizational, individual, and managerial challenges
of scaling and extending the use of agile methods.
We welcome conceptual, empirical, and design-oriented contributions for
this mini-track. Papers must be submitted through the conference
website: https://amcis2018.aisnet.org/

2018 Americas Conference on Information Systems (AMCIS)

<https://amcis2018.aisnet.org> https://amcis2018.aisnet.org
Dear Colleagues,
We kindly invite you to submit your manuscripts to the minitrack: Moving
Beyond Traditional Constructs in Information Security Research, under the
Information Security and Privacy track of the 2018 AMCIS conference, which
will take place on 16-18 August, 2018 in New Orleans, LA.
Track: Information Security and Privacy (SIGSEC)
Minitrack: Moving Beyond Traditional Constructs in Information Security
Research
Employees are organizations' core assets that interact with Information
Systems (IS) in order to perform their tasks; however numerous studies have
reported that employees noncompliance of IS security policies is the main
cause of security breaches within organizations. Over the last decade, the
IS research community has contributed substantial research in order to
understand the causes underlying IS security noncompliance. Most of this
research draws upon the General Deterrence (GDT) and Planned Behavior (PBT)
theories to explain the behavior that motivates IS security compliance. Even
though the existing research has significantly contributed to the
understanding of the phenomenon of IS security noncompliance, several
studies have reported non-convergent findings. The purpose of this
mini-track is to provide a forum to present and discuss theoretical models,
methodologies, and empirical cases concerning employees' behaviors and
noncompliance with IS security policies.
This mini-track aims to investigate new theories and constructs that have
not been explored in IS security compliance literature. Therefore, we invite
innovative papers that explore new constructs and theories that address a
variety of issues pertaining employees' behaviors towards IS security in
organizations. The goal is to advance our understanding of the IS security
noncompliance phenomenon. Cross-cultural studies or comparative studies
highlighting differences and similarities regarding employees' behaviors
with IS security in emerging and developing countries are also welcome.
Papers must be submitted through the conference website:

Introduction
We are living in an age of trinity: big data, analytics and artificial
intelligence (AI). Big data, analytics and AI are at the frontier for
revolutionizing our work, life, business, management and organization as
well as healthcare, finance, e-commerce and web services. Intelligent big
data analytics integrating big data, analytics and artificial intelligence
(AI) is at the core of this age of trinity. It becomes disruptive
technology for healthcare, e-commerce, web services, service computing,
cloud computing and social networking computing. However, many fundamental,
technological and managerial issues for developing and applying intelligent
big data analytics remain open. For example, What are the real big
characteristics of big data? what is the foundation of intelligent big data
analytics? How should intelligent big data analytics be classified? What is
Intelligence 2.0? What are the characteristics of the age of trinity? How
can apply intelligent big data analytics to improve healthcare, e-commerce,
mobile commerce, web services and digital transformation? What is the
impact of intelligent big data analytics on business and management? This
book will address these issues by exploring the cutting-edge theory,
technologies and methodologies of intelligent big data analytics, and
emphasize integration of artificial intelligence, business intelligence,
digital transformation and intelligent big data analytics from a
perspective of computing, service and management. This book also provides
applications of the proposed theory, technologies and methodologies of
intelligent big data analytics to e-SMACS (electronic, social, mobile,
analytics, cloud and service) commerce and service, healthcare, digital
transformation including the Internet of things, sharing economy, and
Industry 4.0 in the real world. The proposed approaches will facilitate
research and development of big data analytics, data science, AI,
intelligent systems, digital transformation, e-business and web service,
service computing, cloud computing and social computing.
Objective of the book
This book’s primary objective is to convey the foundations, technologies,
thoughts, and methods of intelligent big data analytics with applications
to scientists, engineers, educators and university students, business,
service and management professionals, policy makers and decision makers and
others who have interest in intelligent big data, analytics, AI, digital
transformation, e-SMACS computing, commerce and service as well as data
science.
*Target audience*
Primary audiences for this book are undergraduate, postgraduate students
and variety of professionals in the fields of big data, data science,
analytics, AI, computing, commerce, business, services, management and
government. The secondary audience(s) for this book is the variety of
readers in the fields of government, consulting, business and trade as well
as the readers from all the social strata.
Papers as book chapters of all theoretical and technological approaches,
and applications of intelligent big data analytics for management are
welcome.
Submissions that cross multiple disciplines such as management, service,
business, artificial intelligence, intelligent systems, data science,
optimization, statistics, information systems, decision sciences, and

19-6 November 2018: Conference Dates
***** Publication *****
ALL accepted iiWAS2018 papers will be published by ACM International
Conference Proceedings Series and the supplemental proceedings and
indexed appropriately in all major indexes. Selected high-quality papers
will be invited to be published, after revision and extension, in
special issues of international journals.
**** Scope *****
WWW has been driving global information integration. In spite of the
many applications in all domains of our societies: e-business,
e-commerce, e-learning, e-science, and e-government, for instance, as
well as the tremendous advances by engineers and scientists, the
seamless integration of information and services remains a major
challenge. The current shared vision for the future is one of
semantically rich information and service oriented architectures for
global information systems. This vision is at the convergence of
progress in technologies such as XML, Web services, RDF, OWL, of
multimedia, multimodal, and multilingual information retrieval, and of
distributed, mobile and ubiquitous computing. iiWAS2018 is the 20th in
the series of the highly successful International Conference on
Information Integration and Web-based Applications & Systems. Recently,
iiWAS has been held in Salzburg (2017), Singapore (2016), Brussels
(2015), Hanoi (2014), Vienna (2013), Bali (2012), Ho Chi Minh City
(2011), Paris (2010), Kuala Lumpur (2009), and Linz (2008). This year,
Yogyakarta, Indonesia, the city of culture, arts and crafts where iiWAS
was first conceived 20 years ago, will host iiWAS2018. The iiWAS
conference series have provided opportunities to researchers, graduate
students, and industry practitioners to address recent research results
and current industry practices in the area of information integration
and web-based applications.
We invite two types of submissions: Full Technical Papers and Short
Position Papers.
- A Full Paper should provide solid conceptual and theoretical
foundation and substantial support for its results and conclusions as a
significant contribution to the field. - A Position Paper could be demo
or work in progress, i.e., it reports the latest emerged ideas,
approaches, methodologies, systems and application scenarios but have
not yet been fully implemented and/or undergone extensive evaluation.
