Personalization plays an important role in this, as the most effective persuasive and motivational strategies are likely to depend on user characteristics such as the user's personality, affective state, existing attitudes, behaviours, knowledge, and goals. Example application areas include health care (e.g., encouraging people to eat more healthily and exercise more), education (e.g., motivating learners to study more), environment (e.g., encouraging people to use less energy and more public transport), and collaborative content development (e.g., incentivising people to annotate resources). Recently, three research areas separately and from different perspectives have started to focus on personalization and behavior change, by developing complex cognitive models of rational and extra-rational features, involving emotions, persuasion, motivation and argumentation. The first, stemming from a seminal work by B.J. Fogg (2006), is now widely known as Persuasive Technology. Persuasive Technology focuses on interactive technology that can motivate and influence the user. The second research field is Affective Computing. Originating from the seminal work by R. Picard (1997), Affective Computing is interested in the use, understanding and modelling of emotions and affect in computer systems. Finally, Argument and Computation (Simari, Reed, Rahwan & Grasso, 2011) has also emerged in the past decade as a research strand interested in computational models and theories of argumentation and persuasion coming from Philosophy and Artificial Intelligence. This special issue focuses on how adaptive and personalised systems can motivate people, for instance to improve health, or to use sustainable resources, or to achieve goals or specific skills, by using persuasion and argumentation techniques and/or techniques involving the affective and emotional sphere. The topics of interest for the special issue include (but are not limited to): * User models for persuasive and motivational systems (e.g., modeling user engagement, personality and affective states, integrating affective and non-affective aspects) * Tailored argumentation in persuasive and motivational systems (e.g., persuasive discourse processing; rhetoric and affect; computational models of argumentation tailored to a specific user) * Theoretical frameworks of personalized persuasive and motivational systems (e.g., relationships between individual differences and persuasive strategies) * Evaluated applications of personalized behaviour change and motivational strategies(e.g., in intelligent tutoring, health promotion, sustainable transport, sustainable energy, collaborative content development) * Ethical issues of personalized digital behaviour interventions * User-centred design and evaluation methodologies of personalized digital behaviour interventions PAPER SUBMISSION & REVIEW PROCESS Prospective**authors must first submit an extended abstract (no more than 4 single-spaced pages, formatted with 12pt font and 1 inch margins) via EasyChair (https://www.easychair.org/conferences/?conf=umuaipbc2013) to the special issue editors. All submitted abstracts will receive an initial screening by the special issue editors. Abstracts that do not pass this initial screening (i.e., the abstracts that are deemed not to have a reasonable chance of acceptance) will not be considered further. The authors of abstracts that pass the initial screening will be invited to submit the full version of the paper. UMUAI is an archival journal that publishes mature and substantial research results on the (dynamic) adaptation of computer systems to their human users, and the role that a model of the system about the user plays in this context. Many articles in UMUAI are quite comprehensive and describe the results of several years of work. Consequently, UMUAI gives "unlimited" space to authors (as long as what they write is important). Authors whose paper exceeds 40 pages in journal format (including illustrations and references) are however requested to supply a short justification upon submission that explains why a briefer discussion of their research results would not be advisable. However, effectively visualizing processes in a user-friendly way is often a big challenge, especially for complex process models which can consist of hundreds of process components (e.g., process activities, data flows, and resources) and thousands of running process instances in different execution states. Papers should be submitted in advance and will be reviewed by at least three members of the program committee. All accepted papers will appear in the workshop proceedings published by Springer in the Lecture Notes in Business Information Processing (LNBIP) series. There will be a single LNBIP volume dedicated to the proceedings of all BPM workshops. As this volume will appear after the conference, there will be informal proceedings during the workshop. Social software has created a multitude of success stories such as wikipedia.org and the development of the Linux operating system. Therefore, more and more enterprises regard social software as a means for further improvement of their business processes and business models. For example, they integrate their customers into product development by using blogs to capture ideas for new products and features. Thus, business processes have to be adapted to new communication patterns between customers and the enterprise: for example, the communication with the customer is increasingly a bi-directional communication with the customer and among the customers. Social software also offers new possibilities to enhance business processes by improving the exchange of knowledge and information, to speed up decisions, etc. Social software is based on four principles: weak ties, social production, egalitarianism and mutual service provisioning. • Weak ties Weak-ties are spontaneously established contacts between individuals that create new views and allow combining competencies. Social software supports the creation of weak ties by supporting to create contacts in impulse between non-predetermined individuals • Social Production Social Production is the creation of artefacts, by combining the input from independent contributors without predetermining the way to do this. By this means it is possible to integrate new and innovative contributions not identified or planned in advance. Social mechanisms such as reputation assure quality in social production in an a posteriori approach by enabling a collective evaluation by all participants. • Egalitarianism Egalitarianism is the attitude of handling individuals equally. Social software highly relies on egalitarianism and therefore strives for giving all participants the same rights to contribute. This is done with the intention to encourage a maximum of contributors and to get the best solution fusioning a high number of contributions, thus enabling the wisdom of the crowds . Social software realizes egalitarianism by abolishing hierarchical structures, merging the roles of contributors and consumers and introducing a culture of trust. • Mutual Service Provisioning Social software abolishes the separation of service provider and consumer by introducing the idea, that service provisioning is a mutual process of service exchange. Thus both service provider and consumer (or better prosumer) provide services to one another in order co-create value . This mutual service provisioning contrasts to the idea of industrial service provisioning, where services are produced in separation from the customer to achieve scaling effects. Up to now, the interaction of social software and its underlying paradigms with business processes have not been investigated in depth. Therefore, the objective of the workshop is to explore how social software interacts with business process management, how business process management has to change to comply with weak ties, social production, egalitarianism and mutual service, and how business processes may profit from these principles. ------------------- TOPICS OF INTEREST ------------------- 1. New opportunities provided by social software for BPM - How can business processes fit to business models based on the paradigm of social production? - Which new possibilities for the design of business processes are created by social software? - How are trust and reputation established in business processes using social software? - Are there business processes which require sociality, especially when they are not well defined (as production workflows) but collaborative or ad hoc? - How do weak ties, social production, egalitarianism and mutual service provisioning influence the design of business processes? - What is the impact on conceptual models for those categories of business processes which are not well-defined or that we do not wish to freeze using classical business process enactment systems for instance? 2. The BPMS2’08 workshop on BPM2008 in Milan had the 4th rank in submissions from 8 workshops. Acceptance rate was 50 %. The BPMS2’09 attracted 13 submissions, from which 7 have been accepted. The growing size of the network, its interconnectivity, large number of users, increasing number of vulnerable targets within the network (communication protocols, operating systems, servers, applications, etc.), and the appearance of effective and previously unknown types of attacks are among them. An additional objective of the conference is to bring together researchers and developers from academia, industry and governmental organizations to exchange ideas in a broad range of topics among researchers, security system developers and users from research and commercial perspective. Since the scope of the conference covers areas presenting specific interest for basic and applied research organizations, information about the conference will be distributed among the corresponding organizations in Russia and worldwide. So far preliminary agreement to participate in the conference is received from leading Russian Institutions doing basic and applied research in Computer Science, Telecommunication and Computer Security and from companies developing relevant industrial applications. Objective of the SA&PS4CS-2012 Workshop The Workshop is dedicated to the methods of scientific analysis and policy support for response to cyber intrusions and attacks. The main topics of the Workshop are detection, discrimination, and attribution of various activities of malefactors and response to cyber intrusions and attacks including national level information operations as well as identifying emergent cyber technologies supporting social and political activity management and trans-national distributed computing management. The Workshop aims to bring together researchers and practitioners involved in multiple disciplines concerning scientific analysis and policy support for cyber security to exchange ideas and to learn the latest developments in this important field. This Workshop could promote internationally shared understanding of the technically supportable indications and warnings for various types of intrusions and attacks, from the isolated to the highly coordinated, and from the forensic to strategic. The Workshop is planned on the last day of MMM-ACNS-2012. Submitting a paper The MMM-ACNS-2012 welcomes original papers from academic, government, and industry contributors on mathematical approaches and models, state-of-the-art techniques, and novel applications in the above proposed areas. All submissions will be subjected to a thorough review by at least three reviewers. Draft versions of original full papers up to 14 A4 pages (but not less than 6 pages) in English prepared according to the instructions provided by Springer (http://www.springer.com/comp/lncs/Authors.html), including abstract (up to 300 words) and keywords (5 to 8), should be submitted by May 27, 2012 or sooner through the upload facilities at the MMM-ACNS-2012 web site http://www.comsec.spb.ru/mmm-acns12/ . Nicolai and Seidl, 2010; Moisander and Stenfors, 2009; Mohrman et al., 2001; Shrivastava, 1987). In the IS discipline in particular, this has led to some scholars questioning the practical value of much of the published research (cf. Desouza, 2006; Keen, 1991; Senn 1998; Benbasat and Zmud, 1999; Lyytinen, 1999). A central premise of the arguments presented by these protagonists is that much research draws on methods that are inappropriate to the applied nature of the discipline. The foundation of this argument reflects the social sciences ?practice turn? that sees all knowledge as existing within the fields of practice (Schatzki et al., 2001). In philosophy, the turn to pragmatism similarly values knowledge through practitioners? eyes and places thepractitioner at the centre of theory development (Putnam, 1995; Rorty, 1998). This movement toward practical relevance prefers concrete micro actions rather than an abstract or macro analysis. People and knowledge that makes a difference in practice are central to research endeavors. In line with these arguments, the strategic management discipline has seen the emergence of a body of research that focuses on strategizing or the ?doing of strategy? (Jarzabkowski and Spee, 2009; Jarzabkowski et al., 2007; Johnson et al., 2003, 2007; Whittington, 1996). Often referred to as the "Strategy as Practice" school, it emphasises the actual day-to-day activities, contexts, processes and content that relate to strategic outcomes. This momentum towards a more micro perspective is in response to growing frustrations with the contemporary strategy literature of its relevance to practitioners. Part of the problem is that there has been a dominant macro focus in strategic management research that is remote from practice, particularly the normative models resulting from it. Research in the Strategy as Practice genre emphasizes how people engage in the 'real work' of developing a strategy and strategizing. In addressing strategy as practice, the focus of research is on strategy praxis, strategy practitioners and strategy practices, i.e. the work, workers and tools of strategy (Jarzabkowski et al., 2007; Whittington, 2002). Drawing on this Strategy as Practice perspective, this Special Issue seeks to explore information systems strategy and strategizing from apractice perspective. Reflecting the arguments for research relevance, thiscall echoes Lee?s (2010) recent comment that ?the starting point of IS research need not be the existing theory (primarily epistêmê) located in the IS discipline?s own (or any other) research literature; rather, the starting point could be the technê and phronêsis of IS professionals, managers, executives, and consultants (?natives?) themselves...? (p. 346). Submitted manuscripts may report on research that explores the patterns of how people interact and are involved in strategic activity related to IS (and possibly alignment or co-evolution with business strategies). Additionally, they may elicit and present the detailed processes and practices that constitute the day-to-day activities in developing an IS strategy and IS strategizing in practice. While theoretical contributions are welcome (cf. Zundel and Kokkalis, 2010), the focus of empirical data collection will normally be on the people engaged in the real work of IS strategizing (cf.
