********************* Overview **********************
The field of mobile computing and multimedia is expanding in an
unprecedented pace. Indicators are the rapidly increasing penetration
of the cellular phone market around the world, and the mobile
computing market is growing nearly twice as fast as the desktop
market. In addition, technological advancements have significantly
enhanced the usability of mobile communication and computer devices.
>From the first CT1 cordless telephones to today’s Iridium mobile
phones and laptops/PDAs with wireless Internet connection, mobile
tools and utilities have made the life of many people at work and at
home much easier and more comfortable. As a result, mobility and
wireless connectivity are expected to play a dominant role in the
future in all branches of economy. The addition of mobility to data
communications systems has not only the potential to put the vision
of “being always on” into practice, but has also enabled new
generation of services, e.g., location-based services.
********************* Mission *********************
The primary goal of ANGMM is to provide researchers and academic
communities around the world with the highest quality titles while
reporting the state-of-the-art research results and scientific
findings allowing students, developers, engineers, innovators,
research strategists and IT-managers in this field to gain greater
insight into next generation mobile multimedia as they relate to
applications, management, and opportunities within any given construct.
********************* Scope *************************
I welcome you to consider submitting your proposal for an edited
book, an authored book, or a handbook to this series on topics
leveraging all aspects of mobile and multimedia computing: from
underlying technologies to applications, theory to practice, and
servers to networks to devices is precisely the ability to deploy and
utilize modern technologies for the design, development and
deployment of a content rich, user and business friendly, integrated
network of autonomous, mobile applications and services.
********************* Coverage ***************************
ANGMM will be releasing scores of high quality, original and
comprehensive titles under three major categories; mobile computing,

***************************************************
2nd ESFORS Workshop
"Trust, Security and Dependability in Service Oriented Infrastructures"
July 10-11, 2007, University of Maribor, Slovenia
Call for contributions
The ESFORS workshop sessions are organised in a way that all
participants can actively participate by both providing input beforehand
and during the session itself. The methodology which we plan to use for
the sessions can be found on the web at
http://www.esfors.org/index.php?option=com_content&task=view&id=42&Itemid=31
Day 1 of the workshop is a natural extension of the previous ESFORS
workshop (see report on:
http://www.esfors.org/index.php?option=com_remository&Itemid=65&func=select…).
Parallel sessions on day 1 are dedicated to R&D gap analysis and future
(long-term) research topics. These sessions will be based on focussed
discussions and consensus building around selected set of topics (see
annex I in the attachment).
The day 2 sessions will use a “brainstorming” methodology, and instead
of structured inputs we expect open contributions to drive the discussions.
Therefore, we invite all registered participants to fill in a simple
form (attached with this e-mail) as early as possible or at the latest
by June 29th, that would give us an opportunity to better plan these
parallel sessions. Please return your form to
<mailto:workshop@esfors.org> workshop(a)esfors.org
Thank you in advance,
ESFORS workshop organisation team

Call for papers für die Teilkonferenz Automotive Services (
http://www.automotive-services.org/_mkwi.html) im Rahmen der MKWI2008 (
http://www.mkwi2008.de/)
Themengebiet
Verwendung umfangreicherer Ressourcen hinsichtlich Rechenleistung,
Themen
Das Themenspektrum der Automotive Services umfasst folgende Punkte, ist
jedoch keinesfalls darauf beschränkt:
- Anforderungen an automobile Anwendungen
