International Conference on Semantics - Semantics 2006
------------------------------------------------------
>From Visions to Applications - Semantics:
The New Paradigm Shift in IT
November 28 - 30, 2006
TechGate
Vienna, Austria
----------------------
Introductory Statement
----------------------
Semantics 2006 is the first concentrated event in Europe focussing on
applied aspects of semantic technologies. The event addresses researchers
to contribute new research ideas, interesting applications, industrial
adoption scenarios and visions in the Semantic Web domain.
Besides the impact on the research community, Semantics 2006 aims to bring
together researchers with industry representatives like Chief Level
Executives, Project Managers, Software Vendors and Investors.
The Semantic Web community aims to provide the theoretical background,
technologies and applications for a universal medium for the exchange of
data on a higher level than the normal Web with its human readable HTML
pages, which are not meant for being processed by machines, and XML by
considering additionally semantic information. Machine-readable data is a
prerequisite to explore the rich amount of data on the web and generate
added value, by mutually sharing and processing information by automated
tools as well as by people.
Semantic Web Services combine the advantages of the technologies of the
Semantic Web with Web Services, i.e. knowledge can be reused across
applications. Web Services offer functionalities of services to the Web
accessible by every Web user. By the combination with Semantic Web
technologies, additional automated tools can be provided, which offer
functionality like automated Service Discovery and annotation of results of
services with semantic information besides the core functionality of the
services.
Semantic Social Software is at the meeting point between Semantic Web
technology, Social Software, and Knowledge Management. By enriching Social
Software with Semantic Web technology, existing applications can be improved
and new kinds of applications can be developed that offer richer kinds of
collaboration, social networking, interconnection, and participation. In a
sense, Semantic Social Software thus forms the heart of the proclaimed Web
2.0 development.
Besides the scalable integration of heterogeneous data, many other
interesting applications of the Semantic Web (Services) have been
investigated and have been developed to products in the area of ehealth &
life sciences, automotive industry, energy & sustainable ecology, media
content industry and profiles.
Semantics 2006 is a sequel of the Semantics 2005, which took place from 23rd
to 25th of November 2005 at the Tech Gate Vienna and attracted 250
visitors. The annual event is organized by a consortium, consisting of the
Austrian Computer Society, Digital Enterprise Research Institute, NIWA
websolutions, profactor Steyr, Salzburg New Media Lab and the Semantic Web
School.

Hallo liebe Freunde!
Endlich!
info(a)zangl-gartengestaltung.at für Fragen erreichbar.
----------------------------------------------------------------------------
1* Rasendüngung Alles Wissenswertes
----------------------------------------------------------------------------
Bitte vorher telefonisch anmelden!
Wichtig! Unkrautvernichter erst ab Mai verwenden (Wirkstoff temperaturabhängig)
Genaueres im Grüne Brief Mai
Kompakte Informationen erhalten Sie auf unserer Homepage
http://www.zangl-gartengestaltung.at/Rasenpflege/rasenpflege.html
------------------------------------------------------------------
2* Kennen Sie schon das Schwimmteichmagazin?
----------------------------------------------------------------------------
Ob Technik, Biologie, Informationen
Über Pflanzen.
Hier finden Sie den Link dazu:
http://www.zangl-gartengestaltung.at/Links/links.html
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
3* April Ausgabe der Firmenzeitung online!
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
http://www.zangl-gartengestaltung.at/Firmenzeitung/firmenzeitung.html
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
4* Efeuhecke als Sicht und Windschutz
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
7*** Und noch die Frage des Monats
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Was passiert, wenn man Viagra im Garten verstreut? ...
