: Call for Papers
:
: The Third EGS Workshop
: Wednesday, December 13, 2000, Brisbane, Australia (to be held immediately
: after ICIS'00)
:
: Groceries are the largest category in retail in any given country, but
: electronic commerce on groceries has been slow to pick up. Now, however, the
: consumers are starting to show growing interest in conducting the purchases
: of daily consumer goods on the Net. So far, nevertheless, the industry has

: information systems science.
:
: We are pleased to invite you to submit a paper to the Third Workshop on
: Electronic Grocery Shopping (EGS) to be held in Brisbane, Australia on
: December 13, 2000, immediately after ICIS'00. In addition to research paper
: presentations, the workshop will have a panel discussion including an
: industry representative.
:
: The purpose of this workshop is to bring together researchers interested in
: this emerging area for discussions and exchanging of ideas and results. The
: topics of interest for the workshop are, for instance:
:
: · Diffusion of EGSs (Electronic Grocery Shops)
: · Consumer behavior in EGS
: · Changes in industry structure caused by EGS
: · Business models for EGS
: · Business models for mobile EGS
: · Value-adding services related to EGS
: · Logistics of EGS
: · EGS in public services
:
: Please submit a full paper (max 15 pages) by e-mail to Virpi Kristiina
: Tuunainen (tuunaine(a)hkkk.fi). Papers must be original contributions, not
: accepted or submitted elsewhere. Submitted papers will be refereed by at
: least two reviewers for quality, correctness, originality and relevance.
: Accepted papers will be presented at the Workshop and published in workshop
: proceedings, and the best papers will be offered to an international journal
: to be published as a special issue.
