'assign' method of properties not called on object initialization

Hi everyone, When assigning an object's property using object parameters, the assign method of that property does not get called. Is that a bug or intended behaviour? See the following code: package require nx nx::Class create Foo { :property bar { :public method assign { object property value } { puts "assign called for: $object $property $value" } } } set foo [Foo new] $foo bar "test"; # assign method of the bar property is called Foo new -bar "test"; # assign method of the bar property is _not_ called Kind regards, Arthur

Is it possible to do a forward in the following manner: obj public forward link %self::child-obj The best I could do was: obj public forward link :child-obj which I have to call in the following way: [obj link] mymethod Also, I don't even know why it works that way, because I think it should work this way: obj public forward link -objframe :child-obj but that does not work. Thanks

Hello Gustaf, Tried compiling NX today and it is failing. I am on Linux 64bit this time, 3.2.0-8-generic kernel, compiling against latest TCL 8.6 Fossil source. Hello Gustaf, Is it possible to have an alias to ensemble or multi-word commands? Example: Obj public alias string_length "::string length" or Obj public alias "string length" "::string length" Thanks

Mingw correction

Hi, I downloaded the nsf2.0b2 and tried to compile under latest msys/mingw on WINDOWS XP SP3. The only showstopper was on nsfAPI.h where I included nsfInt.h and a correction in line 227 of nsfInt.h where #ifndef __WIN32__ should be replace with #if (defined __WIN32__) && !( defined __GNUC__) The resulting binary executed (after setting TCLLIBPATH) the samples on the site. One more question, will we see XotclIDE love with XoTCL 2?
