Hi all,
as promised, I created the IRC channel
#consenting
on
irc.w3.org port 6667
If you have an IRC client, you know what to do.
People without experience should connect via the web interface
https://irc.w3.org You can later get a dedicated IRC client up and
running with the help of the nerds :)
For "Nickname" just chose a name that allows others to recognize
you. Mine is "rigo". The system will complain if there is a conflict
of naming. In this case, chose another name or add counts :)
For channels, please insert "#consenting"
(all without quotation marks)
The interface is mostly self explaining. You'll have one box at the
very bottom of the window where you can type your contributions. If
you want to do more than talking, you need to learn the IRC commands
that start with "/" and a command.
See http://ircbeginner.com for more information

Hi Georg,
In our last consortium call, you wanted to talk with Cristiana/Irene about the difference between the meta-data model and the data model in WP3, but they were not present.
You said: the persons that write T2.4 (legal requirements) should understand the meta-data and data model in WP3.
Since this can be relevant to some of the other colleagues as well, I’d be thankful if you kindly send a short input (a few sentences, a link, a video…) regarding this to everyone to ensure that all consortium members have the same understanding of these concepts/aspects.
Thanks a lot,
Cheers,
Soheil

Dear all,
Hope you are enjoying your time.
As you know, we had a very constructive meeting with the security team (Gabriele, Stephen, Vincent, and Aidan/Marie, as well as Victor, Rigo, Harsh, …). We discussed the most urgent aspects and updated the tasks lists, and distributed them. You can find the updated version in the "WPs and Tasks" folder as v9 (thanks a lot, Harsh).
Now, we copy them to the main proposal file (i.e. section 3 - implementation) [Thanks, Vincent, Petra, and Boris in advance] and continue working on them in the main file (i.e. in the WP description tables). You will still have the chance to comment, update, improve the titles and contents of the tasks or WPs in the main file. Although we will do our best to not add/remove any new tasks (but only in exceptional cases).
We need to finalise section 3 ASAP. Since it needs detailed, precise and carefully written inputs from ALL of you (at least regarding the tasks you are involved in), I'd be most grateful if you consider this in your daily plans and reserve enough time for it. Vincent and Petra/Boris will keep you updated regarding this and kindly guide you through the process asap.
Thank you all,
Cheers,
Soheil

Dear all,
Hope all is well.
I went through the impact section (https://docs.google.com/document/d/1Fdz-BA_v34Jz-aN-QmsiR4o-CVnXtcPw/edit#) and added a few initial ToDos to start the writing process. I'll appreciate it if every one of you kindly goes through the section. Please provide your input everywhere, and in particular, anywhere a ToDo is waiting for you.
If there is no ToDo for you, it does not mean that your input is not appreciated (as I said, these are just some initial ToDos). We need to consider all perspectives. Please add your input wherever you like, either in the main text or as comments.
Feel free to update, edit, add comments, add new ToDos, change the existing ToDos (if you think they are not appropriate), ……., ….
I will also work more on this section in the following days.
Thanks a lot,
Best,
Soheil

Hi all,
we all talked about privacy preserving computation as one of the
requirements in the call. I just discovered that ERCIM has published
a special edition of the ERCIM news on the topic:
https://ercim-news.ercim.eu
I think we can find a lot if insight there.
