==================== ICESS-05 CALL FOR PAPERS ========================== The 2005 International Conference on Embedded Software and Systems (ICESS-05)
December 16-18, 2005 Northwestern Polytechnical University, Xi'an, P.R. China http://icess2005.nwpu.edu.cn http://icess05.icess.org ======================================================================== INTRODUCTION
The Second International Conference on Embedded Software and Systems (ICESS 2005) is to be held in Xi'an, P. R. China. The main goal of the conference is to advance the embedded software and system research, development and design competence, to improve international communication and cooperation, to promote embedded software and system industrialization and wide applications to the most areas.
Embedded software and systems are emerging rapidly as exciting new paradigms and disciples to provide computing and communication services any place/any time/any means. This important gathering will provide a forum for researchers, developers, providers from academia and industry to address all resulting profound challenges, and to present and discuss their new ideas, research results, applications and experience on all aspects of embedded software and systems. A sincere welcome awaits all visitors at the conference.
SCOPE AND INTERESTS
The conference invites papers on all aspects of embedded software and systems. Topics of interest include, but are not limited to:
. Novel architecture for embedded systems . Customizable processors & system/network-on-chip . Reconfigurable embedded systems . Application-specific embedded system architecture . Hardware/software co-design . Real-time systems . Specification and formal methods for embedded software . Compilation techniques for embedded architectures . Embedded component and reusing technology . Embedded software & systems for middleware and P2P computing . Agent & embedded adaptive technology . Graphics, multimedia and HCI for embedded systems . Verification & testing techniques for embedded software . Integration & simulation methods for embedded systems . Sensor networks . Power-aware computing . Pervasive computing and intelligence . Security, privacy issues and trusted embedded systems . Embedded software & systems for wireless communications . Embedded software & systems for mobile computing . Embedded Applications: including telecom, automotive, avionics, industrial control, consumer electronics, appliance, and sensors, etc.
SUBMISSION GUIDELINES
The scientific paper should be the research results that have not been published formally before, the focus is outstanding, argument is abundant, the data are reliable, and the characters are terse. Please indicate the author's unit, mailing address, postcode, telephone number and E-mail. Please submit the paper in either ps or pdf format with 5 up to 10 keywords.
Contributions will be reviewed by at least three reviewers from both program committee and external reviewers for relevance and technical contents on basis of papers. The general limit of space of each final-ready accepted paper (including the chart) is within 6 pages (print layouts), including text, figures and references. The paper should be written in English with Springer LNCS paper format and style files. Authors of accepted papers, or at least one of them, should be registered and are expected to present their work at the conference. Before submitting their manuscripts to ICESS-05, authors must acknowledge that no paper of substantially similar content has been or will be submitted to another conference or workshop during the ICESS-05 reviewing period.
