UNIVERSITY OF WYOMING DEPARTMENT OF MATHEMATICS Academic Professional Lecturer Position
Applications are invited for an assistant academic professional lecturer position starting August 2006. The minimum qualifications are an earned M.S. in mathematics, experience in teaching mathematics at the Community College or higher level, and experience with technology. Preferred qualifications include administrative experience, experience with Microsoft Access software, and experience with the development of internal and external funding sources. The position requires the ability and interest to advise undergraduate students, to teach a variety of undergraduate and outreach courses, and to coordinate and schedule tutoring for undergraduate courses. The selected individual will be in charge of the Mathematics lab, which was started over twenty years ago as a volunteer tutoring service of the Mathematics department faculty, and has expanded to include faculty, graduate students and a growing number of undergraduate peer tutors. Review of completed applications will begin April 18, 2006. A complete application will consist of a letter of application, a complete CV, and a statement of teaching philosophy.
