TRACK COVERAGE
Deregulation and liberalization of markets, as well as globalization and internalization leads to increasing intrasectorial and intersectorial competition. Time will be a more and more critical success factor. The further development of information and communication technologies are new challenges to companies. It is necessary to integrate information as an independent production factor in corporate strategies in order to have the possibility to act and not only have the necessity to react on markets' requirements. The actual situation of information supply in companies may be described as follows: The decision-maker has a data overflow and at the same time he has an information deficit. Companies possess a lot of data, but they are not able to use the data in an economic and efficient manner. The objective of this track is to provide a forum for researchers and practitioners to disseminate and exchange ideas on both the technical and managerial issues associated with data warehousing and mining.
RECOMMENDED TOPICS The Data Warehousing and Mining track invites submissions in the following areas (but not limited to): o Information Modeling of Data Warehouses o Meta--Data Modeling/Management o Data ((Model) Integration/Schema Integration o Data Cleaning o Data Quality o Management of large Databases o OLAP//ROLAP/MOLAP o Knowledge Discovery o Information Filtering o Web Mining o Dynamic Profiling//Learning Algorithms o Economic Aspects
