Please find below the last CFP for a special issue on �Web 2.0 in travel and tourism: transforming and redefining business models and operations� of the international Journal of Enterprise Information Management.
The special issue is looking for theoretical, empirical, experimental and case studies research investigating the exploitation of Web 2.0 by tourism firms and organisations. Paper submission deadline is the 30th of June 2009.

Special Issue on
Web 2.0 in travel and tourism: transforming and redefining business models and operations

Manuscripts are solicited for a special issue of the international Journal of Enterprise Information Management �Web 2.0 in travel and tourism: transforming and redefining business models and operations�. Articles published in this special issue will present current, state-of-art research and critical thinking, designed to transfer to academics and professionals alike the necessary knowledge in the specific area of the use and management of Web 2.0 applications by travel and tourism firms.
Web 2.0 is fundamentally changing the way travellers and tourists search, find, read and trust as well as (collaboratively) produce information about tourism suppliers and destinations. Moreover, web 2.0 applications (such as collaborative trip planning tools, three dimensions virtual spaces) empower travellers to engage in the design, production and promotion of tour packages, cultural events, hotel rooms and other travel-tourism products and services. Travellers 2.0 become and they expect to be active prosumers (producers and consumers) and marketers of personalised travel experiences. As a result, travel and tourism companies need to change and redefine their business models and operations in order to incorporate travellers and their social networks as well as to manage and exploit travellers' social intelligence and user-generated content in value creation activities.
This special issue of the Journal of Enterprise Information Management aims to advance the evolution, use and management of web 2.0 applications and innovative e-business models in travel and tourism that exploit and incorporate travellers and their intelligence within business operations and customer value creation activities.
The objectives of the special issue are to publish findings and exchange knowledge on the development of new research theories, methodologies and applications. Thus, theoretical, empirical, experimental, case studies and policy-oriented contributions are welcome, but all contributions should clearly address the practical implications of the research reported.
Topics This special issue seeks leading-edge research investigating the use and management of web 2.0 applications and tools transforming and redefining the business models and operations of travel and tourism firms.
Topics of papers may include (but they are not limited): � web 2.0 and traveller enabled and supported business processes and operations � web 2.0 and co-creation customer value practices: strategies, models, benefits and implementation � travellers' and social networks involvement in new product - service development including crowdsourcing and crowdcasting methodologies � web 2.0, social intelligence and knowledge management practices in travel and tourism � CRM 2.0 and Marketing 2.0: strategies and practices � management practices of travellers 2.0 and their social intelligence (user-generated content) � evaluation and measurement of the impact of Web 2.0 applications on business performance: metrics and methodologies � business risks of web 2.0 applications: strategies and management � web 2.0 and business process and network transformation and reengineering
Guidelines for Authors All submissions must adhere to the format and style guidelines of the journal Journal of Enterprise Information Management. Review process All papers will be double blind refereed by at least three anonymous referees, after an initial screening process of all submitted manuscripts. A three stage review process is planned, to allow for the consideration, where appropriate, of revised papers.
