Attending the upcoming the upcoming Hawaii International Conference on System Sciences (HICSS-52) at the Grand Wailea, Maui, 8-11 January ( http://hicss.hawaii.edu/)? Then consider the following tutorial session by leading experts in the Cybersecurity field.
Systems-Theoretic and Technical Operational Risk Management (STORM): Certified Security by Design for Mission Assurance and Mission Translation 9am – 12pm, January 8, 2019
The objective of this tutorial is to demonstrate how Certified Security by Design (CSbD) is achieved by STORM – System-Theoretic and Technical Operational Risk Management. The tutorial will demo a CSbD mathematically sound method, design flowed, tool, and display how to routinely produce systems, which warfighters and society rely on, through the integration of Functional Mission Analysis (FMA), CSbD, software verification, and hardware.
This tutorial will also examine an Air Force (AF) pedagogy created to address the shortage of qualified cyber security professionals through programs executed at the undergraduate level through its Advanced Course in Engineering (ACE) engineering program. The underlying ACE philosophy is to completely immerse participants in the cyber security discipline during a ten-week summer program through a combination of intense coursework and internship experiences.
