This is the second announcement and CALL for PAPERS of International Conference on Economic Science with Heterogeneous Interacting Agents 2008 (ESHIA/WEHIA2008)
If you are interested in collective socio-economic phenomena you will come to Warsaw to take part in ESHIA/WEHIA2008 Conference from 19 to 21 June 2008!
We encourage you to send us as soon as possible an abstract of your conference contribution using automatic submission at our web page http://www.if.pw.edu.pl/~eshia08/
ESHIA/WEHIA 2008 is a sequel of series of conferences that met a great success and attracted many interesting presentations on quantitative socio-economic modelling. The previous conferences took place in: Fairfax (2007), Bologna (2006), Essex (2005), Kyoto (2004) and Kiel (2003).
The series are managed by ESHIA - Society for Economic Science with Heterogeneous Interacting Agents http://www.es-hia.org/ . The ESHIA/WEHIA 2008 will be organized by Faculty of Physcis, Center of Excellence for Complex Systems Research of Warsaw University of Technology.
The overall objective of this Conference is to bring together financial market practitioners and scientists experienced in the analysis of collective socio-economic phenomena, including the application of ideas from the physical sciences to economy and finance. We welcome researchers dealing with computational and mathematical modeling of economic and social processes in which individual agents play important role.
Topics of interest include: agent-based modeling, artificial financial market models, automata models of economic and social processes, computational game theory, spontaneous order/self-organization in economics, economic processes in social networks, technology innovation, adoption and diffusion, urban systems as complex adaptive systems, collective failures and bankruptcies, network models, opinion dynamics, social norm emergence, spatial agent models, econophysics, emergent macroeconomics, firm birth and death models, multi-agent models of organizations supply networks.
The conference programme will be comprised of talks and poster sessions. The Scientific Committee will select contributed papers and their mode of presentation.
Deadline for abstract submissions is 15 March 2008, but we invite you to send us your abstract NOW.
