Detailed information about the conference is available at: http://www.lumii.lv/dbis2010 __________________________________________________
Objective The Baltic conference on databases and information systems is thought as an international forum for technical discussion among researchers and developers of databases and information systems. The objective of the conference is to bring together researchers as well as practitioners and PhD students in the fields of advanced database and information systems research. The goal of the conference is to discuss the role that database systems play in the development of modern networked information systems. The conference is also seeking for the databases and information systems research that relate to ontologies and semantic web. This conference is continuing a series of successful bi-annual Baltic conferences on databases and information systems which have been held in Trakai (1994), Tallinn (1996, 2002, 2008), Riga (1998, 2004), and Vilnius (2000, 2006). Structure and Topics of Interest The conference language is English (talks as well as publications). The conference is planned to include two main tracks: traditional research track and advanced application track. To activate and motivate PhD students the conference programme will include Doctoral Consortium chaired by invited professors.
