Forwarded message from [edennis@arches.uga.edu] sent originally on Mon, 3 Apr 2000 13:26:04 -0400: : Digital Documents Track CALL FOR PAPERS : at the Thirty-fourth Annual : HAWAI'I INTERNATIONAL CONFERENCE ON SYSTEM SCIENCES : on the Island of Maui January 3 - 6, 2001 : Additional detail on the web site http://www.hicss.hawaii.edu : : The Digital Documents track is concerned with the creation and use of documents whose primary manifestation is in digital form. This includes not only more traditional forms of documents, primary in text form, but also forms not generally associated with "documents," such as representations of persistent conversations through electronic mail, the content of organizational memory, and material recorded on video. In addressing the use of documents, the track also tries to address issues of the "social life" of such documents in such social networks as communities of practice, educational cultures, and the increasingly multi-lingual contexts of global communication. : : Track chair: : Stephen W.
