CALL FOR PAPERS
The Sharable Content Object Reference Model (SCORM) aims to foster creation of reusable learning content as instructional objects within a common technical framework for computer and Web-based learning. The 2006 International Conference on SCORM (SCORM'2006) will provide a forum for discussion on SCORM related research issues. The conference is co-sponsored by the Advanced Distributed Learning (ADL), Tamkang University, Institute for Information Industry, Taiwan, National Science and Technology Program for e-Learning, Taiwan, and Endorsed by the IEEE Technical Committee on Learning Technology.
The conference covers theory, design and application of SCORM-related research issues. Aside from the regular presentations, the conference will include keynote addresses with speakers from both industry and academia. Prospective authors are invited to propose papers in any of the following areas: * Content Authoring and Converting * Automatic Generation of Metadata * Visualization of Content Aggregation and Sequencing * Metrics of Learning Objects and Content Aggregations * Game Technology for Distance Learning * Modeling and Simulation in Distance Learning * Question, Test, and Performance Assessment * Intelligent Tutoring Based on Sequencing and Navigation * Automatic Testing of Sequencing and Navigation * Practical Usage and Examples of Sequencing and Navigation * Experimental Design for Adaptive Learning * Infrastructure and Design of Repository * Discovery and Registration of Repository * Searching and Reusing of Learning Objects * Open Architecture for LMSs * Mobile Technology for Distance Learning * Collaborative Learning Systems
** Paper Submissions
Submit a full paper of at most 4 pages (IEEE Computer Society Proceedings Manuscripts style: two columns, single-spaced), including figures and references, using 10 fonts, and number each page. You can confirm the IEEE Computer Society Proceedings Author Guidelines at http://computer.org/cspress/instruct.htm. Contact author must provide the following information:

All submissions will be peer-reviewed on the basis of relevance, originality, significance, and clarity. All accepted papers will be included in the conference proceedings. Best papers recommended by the program committee will be extended and published in a special volume of the IEEE Learning Technology Newsletter. Besides, authors of selected papers will be invited to make an extension of their papers to be published in the International Journal of Distance Education Technologies (http://www.mine.tku.edu.tw/JDET).
The authors of accepted papers will present at the conference and be required to complete ADL release forms when submitting their final papers. In addition, presentation slides should be submitted to the conference organization committee. Presentations slides will be posted on the ADL Plugfest website after the conference.
