Those are composed with several agents, : which can be autonomous. Agent based systems are of a great interest for : industrial and scientists, since the past 10 years, especially in : spatial and air domain. For example, developing a space probe, : spacecraft or autonomous vehicles requires to deal with intelligent : embedded functions. : : However, making use of those system is limited by highly : combinatorial problems and complex collaborative behaviours. Thus, the : operational capacity of the whole system is generally restricted due to : the implementation of simple heuristics. For example, path or motion : planning, task scheduling are still critical functions of those : multi-agent systems. : : Now, those combinatorial problems have been widely investigated through : Constraint Programming languages, Operation Research or with the help of : local search techniques. Benefit from those patterns are of different : kinds, depending on the completeness, the complexity and the generecity : of the solving method. : : During the seminar, we will study how solving functions extracted from : those domains can be linked with multi-agent system behaviors such as : collaboration and cooperation or how it can reinforce mechanisms like : coordination. The seminar will tackle topics related to the design of : solving method and decision techniques in order to integrate them into : multi-agent architectures. We will highlight how advanced solutions : can deal with requirements involved by modification of the agent : forecast. : : - Requirement examples for architectures based onto multiple : autonomous agent in hostile environment. : - Composition of solving paradigms with multi-agent features and : mechanisms (collaboration, cooperation, coordination). : - Languages allowing a higher expressiveness of both solving : methods and solving integration into agents. : - Model examples allowing to compose cooperation or collaboration : strategies between agents with solving or decision methods. : - Tool and design framework for prototyping, simulating and : validating multi-agent architecture behavior based over those methods. : : Through presentations we will identify difficulties and state : parts of solutions. Industrial examples under development will be also : presented such as autonomous vehicle planning. The seminar will involve : scientists specialized in both problem solving and multi agent systems : and companies currently experimenting those techniques. : : ======================================================== : : For more information, check our web page: : : http://www.axlog.fr/gazette.html
