AMCIS 2009: First General Call for Papers
The Association for Information Systems and the AMCIS 2009 Conference Committee invite scholars and practitioners to participate in the 2009 Americas Conference on Information Systems (AMCIS 2009) by submitting original papers. Consistent with the conference location, the conference is theme is "The Golden Gate to the Future of IS". When Manuscript Central system for AMCIS 2009 officially opens on January 2, 2009, you will be able to submit your completed papers, panel proposals, and workshop proposals for review. The link to Manuscript Central will be available at that time and will also be included in future CFPs. A record 188 minitracks have been accepted for AMCIS 2009. Please review the information at this link to determine which track/minitrack best fits your submission and to contact the minitrack chairs. You can also contact the panel chair and workshop co-chairs through AMCIS 2009 website at http://www.amcis2009.org.
Papers will be peer-reviewed using a double-blind system and will be considered for Best Paper Awards. In 2009, a Best Paper Award for a practitioner-oriented paper will be selected with input from CIOs.
Important Deadlines (please note the earlier deadlines than last year): January 2, 2009: Manuscript Central will start accepting paper submissions February 20, 2009 (11:59 PM Pacific time zone): Deadline for paper submissions NO EXTENSIONS POSSIBLE.
