All papers submitted to this conference will be peer reviewed by at least two members of the International Program Committee. Acceptance will be based primarily on originality and contribution.
IMSA 2002 will be held in conjunction with the IASTED International Conferences on Signal and Image Processing (SIP 2002) and Computer Graphics and Imaging (CGIM 2002).
LOCATION IMSA 2002 will take place at the Sheraton Kaua'i Resort on the Hawaiian island of Kaua'i. The resort is situated on the white-sand Po'ipu Beach on the sunny, southern coast of the island. Kaua'i, known as the "Garden Island", was both the first of the volcanic Hawaiian islands to be formed, and the first to be discovered by European explorers. The greenest of all the islands, Kaua'i is virtually untouched by commercial development. Some 97% of Kaua'i is divided between agriculture and conservation. In addition to swimming and water sports off the Pacific coast, Kaua'i offers many other recreational and tourist activities. Among these attractions are Waimea Canyon - the "Grand Canyon of the Pacific", Kokee State Park, Na Pali Coast, and the National Tropical Botanical Gardens.
