The 2009 working conference focuses the importance of knowledge as a key economic resource for companies, and particularly, SMEs. Aware of the economic relevance of SMEs in Europe and elsewhere, the conference organization aims at fostering research addressing the KM and innovation processes in SMEs as well as innovative strategies, methods, information systems and technologies that can leverage SMEs ability to creatively solve their problems and take advantage of market opportunities, i.e., to leverage the intelligence and creativity of SMEs.

Keynote Speakers: - Michael Dowling, University of Regensburg - Carlos Zorrinho, Portuguese Coordinator of the Lisbon Strategy and the Technological Plan

Several high quality panels and workshops, providing excellent fora for the exchange of novel research ideas

If you are traveling to Lisbon, then you'll have a train from there (Estação do Oriente) to Guimarães at 17:39 and arriving at Guimarães by 21:40, every day (30 Euros in executive class: http://www.cp.pt/cp/displayPage.do?vgnextoid=87cbd5abe2a74010VgnVCM1000007b0...).

If your flight goes to Porto, then there are several options:

1) Travelling by taxi to Guimaraes (about 50 Euros). 2) Going by metro to Estação de Campanhã, Porto (about 4 Euros), and taking the train to Guimarães (train ticket is about 3 Euros). 3) Going by taxi to Estação de Campanhã, Guimarães (about 25 Euros) and taking the train to Guimarães.
