Call for Proposals Tutorials, Advanced Seminars, and Workshops 36th Hawaii International Conference on System Sciences (HICSS-36) January 6 - 9, 2003 (Monday through Thursday)
Hilton Waikoloa Village on the Big Island
=============================================================== You are invited to submit a proposal to lead a tutorial, advanced seminar, or workshop at HICSS-36, on Monday, January 6, 2003. These sessions should be designed to support the formal papers during the conference, or to explore new topics.
Deadline: March 15, 2002 Proposal Contents - Your proposal should include the following:
1) Define the proposed technical area, discuss the topics the session will address, and how they fit into a particular area of research. Specify if the session is a tutorial, advanced seminar, or workshop.
2) Discuss how these topics have recently been covered in other conferences and publications to substantiate that HICSS is an appropriate and timely forum for the topics.
3) Include: a) A short paragraph of approximately 50 words describing the topics of your tutorial. This will be included in the HICSS-36 Advance Program Announcement and in the printed program in case your proposal is approved for presentation at the conference.
b) A short bio-sketch of less than 50 words
4) An explicit statement that your organization endorses your involvement and attendance at HICSS and has the infrastructure to financially support that involvement. However, HICSS does provide an honorarium for a Tutorial, Advanced Seminar, or Workshop of $500 per half-day session, or $1,000 for a Full-Day, to be split as specified among the presenters.
Submission Instructions
1. No acceptance of a tutorial, advanced seminar, or workshop will be made without a formal written proposal.
2. Submit your proposal to Ralph Sprague (sprague@hawaii.edu) and cc: Eileen Dennis (eidennis@indiana.edu)
3. Include your full mailing address, phone number, departmental phone number and fax. Also include a phone number that we can use if we need to reach you during the holiday December break.
4. Each proposal will be evaluated by the Conference Chair, in consultation with the appropriate track chairs.

=========================================================== The HICSS series of conferences has become a unique and respected forum in computer and information systems and technology for the exchange of ideas among the researchers and development communities around the world. The first day always consists of morning, afternoon, or all-day Tutorials, Advanced Seminars, or Workshops as described above, followed by 3 days of formal paper presentations. HICSS is sponsored by the College of Business Administration, University of Hawaii at Manoa, Honolulu, Hawaii.
