ECIS 2002 The Xth European Conference on Information Systems Gdansk, Poland, June 6-8, 2002 Information Systems and the Future of the Digital Economy Track 1: Information System Research Methods
Call for Submissions
ECIS 2002 will be held in Gdansk, Poland, June 6-8, 2002. Submissions are invited to the track on the IS research methodology (Track 1). The following list contains examples of suitable topics.
- what does theoretical advance mean in IS - types of research methods and their impacts - knowledge as research subject - organizations as research subjects and research clients - epistemological and ontological principles of IS - systems thinking; theory and practice - the interaction between the psychological, social and technical in the IS realm - IS research models based on interdisciplinary cooperation - research methods in the virtual world - multicultural features of IS research - This list is by no means exhaustive and papers on related topics are invited. Questions concerning the track should be submitted to kalle@po.cwru.edu. Significant dates for the conference are:
