*IEEE Journal on Selected Areas in Communications: Special Issues on Emerging Technologies in Communications (2012)*
The IEEE Communications Society (ComSoc) has inaugurated a new series of special issues, under the banner of the IEEE Journal on Selected Areas in Communications (JSAC), on Emerging Technologies in Communications. This series is unique in that it will be published online and distributed to JSAC subscribers. The first special issue will be published online in 2012 and the second one will be published online in 2013. These issues will deal with eight emerging technical areas selected from ComSoc Technical Committees and Technical Sub-committees.

Prospective authors should prepare their submissions in accordance with the rules specified in the Information for Authors section of the J-SAC guidelines (http://www.jsac.ucsd.edu/Guidelines/info.html). Authors should submit a PDF version of their complete manuscript to http://www.edas.info . The timetable is as follows:
