Call for Papers Group Decision and Negotiation Special Issue on E-negotiations
IT changes ways the negotiation problem can be represented and the ways the negotiation process can be structured. Initiated by the commercial exploration of the Internet as a global communication infrastructure, electronic varieties of negotiations have started to gain momentum in manifold shapes from negotiation support systems to electronic auctions to automated agent-based negotiations both in theory and in practice. Research in e-negotiations focuses on protocols that support negotiations about multiple attributes, attribute combinations or frame contracts, and involve complex interactions and communication acts. The purpose of this special issue of Group Decision and Negotiation is to provide a forum for topics addressing e-negotiations from theoretical and empirical perspectives.
This special issue intends to incorporate a wide array of e-negotiation issues, protocols and systems. Papers based on research from both academia and industry are encouraged. Papers dealing with (but not limited to) the following topics are invited:
* Negotiation and mediation on electronic markets * E-negotiation software platforms * Web-based negotiations support systems * Negotiation protocols and design issues * Negotiation software agents * E-negotiation case studies and experiments * On-line auctions and negotiations * Negotiations in supply-chain and EDI systems * Social, cultural and psychological aspects of e-negotiations * Trust and relationship building in e-negotiations
