We would like to solicit papers for REGULAR ISSUES of the juried scholarly journal:
TRANSACTIONS ON COMPUTATIONAL SCIENCE
to appear in 2007/2008.
The concentration of this Transactions is in the realms of Computational Science in parallel and distributed environments, encompassing the facilitating theoretical foundations and the applications of large scale and computations and massive data processing. The Transactions offers practitioners and researchers to share computational techniques and solutions in the area, to identify new issues, and to shape future directions for research, as well as enabling industrial users apply techniques of leading edge large scale high performance computational methods.
In addition to addressing the research and application issues, the Transactions aims to present material that is validated -- crucial in enabling rapid application and advancement of the material presented in both research laboratories and industries. In this spirit, the Transactions focuses at publications presenting results and computational techniques that are verifiable. Authors will receive the critique by experts, including researchers and practitioners, in areas where the material presented in the paper may come into contact with, or may benefit from having input.
Transactions on Computational Science Journal is intended as a highest quality venue for dissemination of cutting-edge research results in the area of Computational Science. All submissions will be rigorously referees to ensure quality and originality by the experts in the field. The projected time to receive referee comments and communicate decision to authors is 6-8 months from the submission. This time will be accelerated for Special Issue publications.
The Journal is a soft cover LNCS Book published quarterly by SPRINGER. Publication of the first issue is scheduled for Spring/Summer 2007.
All articles dealing with theory and fundamental methodologies in the area of Computational Science, as well as with development and realization of these methodologies through software implementation and empirical studies, are invited for submission to the Journal Authors are encouraged to submit original software confirming the validity of the experimental work with the purpose of software repository being created for Journal subscribers.
Particular areas of Interest are High Performance Computing; Information Retrieval; Modeling and Simulations; Numerical and Scientific Computing; Evolutionary Computing, Intelligent Computing, Biometric Technologies, Data Mining and Data Warehousing; Grid Computing; Hardware/Software Co-design; Numerical and Scientific Computing; Parallel and Distributed Computing. Articles in related areas of interest for the Journal will also be considered (please consult web site for the full list of topics).
*Submission Procedure:
*
Full Paper Submission formatted according to LNCS Format. For Full submission, both Latex and MS-Word formats are accepted. All papers will be rigorously refereed by at least three experts in the area.
Important: in order to be considered for *2007 Journal issue*, your submission must be received by the editorial office *no later than April 15, 2007.*
All Articles dealing with theory and fundamental methodologies in computational science, as well as innovative solutions or technological development related to realization of computational methods, should be submitted to Prof. Marina Gavrilova, Department of Computer Science, University of Calgary, Alberta, Canada T2N1N4.
