CFP AMCIS 2020 Mini-Track: Interface Design, Evaluation and Impact
CALL FOR PAPERS AMCIS 2020
26th Americas Conference on Information Systems (AMCIS)
Mini-Track: Interface Design, Evaluation and Impact (IDEI)
Track: Human-Computer Interaction (SIGHCI)
August 12-16, 2020, Salt Lake City, Utah ( https://amcis2020.aisconferences.org/)
TRACK DESCRIPTION
This mini-track is an outlet for human-computer interaction (HCI) papers that research interface design, evaluation, and impact. It supports a wide-ranging set of research topics, methods, and perspectives in the HCI area. Possible topics include user interface design and evaluation for B2B, B2C, C2C e-commerce, m-commerce, and social media sites, business software including ERP, Internet of Things, big data dashboard, and healthcare IT, Augmented Reality, Virtual Reality, Mixed Reality, and games. User task analysis, usability testing, the analysis of the impacts of interfaces on the attitudes, behaviors, performance, or productivity of individuals, organizations, and society are also the topics of this mini-track. Authors are encouraged to investigate new issues related to and apply new approaches of considering HCI in light of emerging technologies and technology trends. A number of papers have been published at the premier IS journals in the past. Excellent conference submissions have been considered for fast-track options at journals publishing HCI research including the AIS Transactions on Human-Computer Interaction (THCI).
This minitrack has been one of the most successful minitracks under the Human-Computer Interaction (SIGHCI) track in recent AMCIS meetings. We have normally received more than 20 submissions and accepted around 10-15 papers for 4-5 sessions. This minitrack has provided a platform for world-wide HCI and IS researchers to exchange and disseminate their knowledge and research findings. Each session of this minitrack has drawn sizable audience in the past and gave an opportunity for researchers to have fruitful and constructive discussions. We believe that it is important to continue this tradition and provide this opportunity at the upcoming AMCIS 2020 meeting.
