CAiSE'02 14th Conference on Advanced Information Systems Engineering Toronto, Canada 27 May - 1 June, 2002
http://www.cs.toronto.edu/caise02
You are cordially invited to attend and participate in the 14th International Conference on Advanced Information Systems Engineering (CAiSE'02) to be held in Toronto, May 29-31. This is a special edition of the CAiSE conference series, being the first one to be held outside Europe. To celebrate the occasion, we have worked hard to put together an exceptional technical programme, including keynote talks by
Michael Brodie on Grand Challenges in Information Technology Matthias Jarke on Metadata and Knowledge Management Chris Welty on Ontologies
In addition, the programme includes 42 high-quality technical papers, selected from 173 submissions, poster presentations, 8 workshops featuring on-going research, and 4 tutorials by international experts on topics such as:
Web Applications, Web Services, Knowledge Management, Data Semantics, Ontologies, Data Integration, System Qualities, Requirements Issues, Workflows, and more.
Of course, the technical programme is not the only attraction of the conference. The conference hotel is located in the core downtown area of Toronto, within walking distance of museums, parks and shopping areas. Toronto has been called the most multicultural city in the world and while in Toronto, you will have the opportunity to visit neighborhoods that have the distinctive ethnic flavour of parts of the Far East and Europe. More than that, Toronto is a well-run, safe city that visitors enjoy visiting again and again.
We look forward to seeing you at the conference.
Tamer Ozsu John Mylopoulos and Carson Woo General Chair Programme Co-Chairs
Further information, including workshop invited speakers, will be posted on the conference web site http://www.cs.toronto.edu/caise02
Registration ------------ For registration, hotel and venue information, see the CAiSE'02 web pages at http://www.cs.toronto.edu/caise02
The Venue --------- The Conference will take place in the Delta Chelsea Hotel. The hotel is located in downtown Toronto within walking distance of the CN Tower (the world's tallest building and free standing structure), the Skydome, the City Hall, the Air Canada Centre, the University of Toronto, the Eaton Center, Harbourfront, Lake Ontario and other tourist attractions. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------- ---
