This workshop will be offered in two parts. The : first part will highlight research issues on E-business transformations. : Presenters include Professors Anil Gupta (University of Maryland), Sirkka : Jarvenpaa (University of Texas), Arun Rai (Georgia State University), and Al : Segars (University of North Carolina). The issues discussed will cover the : strategic business models, policy issues, supply chain management, and strategic : consequences for change management. The presenters will highlight findings from : ongoing research on these issues. : : The second part of the workshop will highlight practical challenges and : strategies for guiding E-business transformations. Three senior executives who : have been engaged in shaping and leading their firms? E-business transformation : efforts will discuss the challenges that they encountered and the strategies : that proved effective. This session will complement the earlier session by : providing a practical perspective on how incumbent and start-up firms deal with : the realities of E-business transformation efforts.
